Our 300-acre off-grid property backs onto the Barmah National Park. This forest, together with the adjoining Millewa forest, forms the largest River Red Gum forest in the world - it's majestic to explore. Our property is just 500 meters from the Murray River. From your camp, roughly a 1 kilometre walk through the forest. On our boundary is Backwater Creek, which fills with water when the Murray River is up.
NOTE: Creek is often dry. It has water in it after environmental flows of the Murray. This can happen several times a year and the water lasts a few months. If you have any questions about water levels please ask before booking as it might be dry when you're here.
We're located just 5kms north-east of Moama, where you can hop aboard a paddle-steamer, visit waterside wineries and soak up rich riverboat heritage.
We offer a few large, beautiful, basic bush camping sites (the best kind!) in amongst 50 acres of bushland, with 100's of meters and trees between you and other potential campers.
The rest of our property is used for cropping and sheep.
Campers must take out what you bring in.
Mobile phone service and internet is usually reliable, though with long weekends and summer school holidays the service seems to disappear! Completely. We suggest downloading (before leaving home) your Spotify faves and Maps for this area then you can't go wrong.

The Whip Stick Forest campsite is located on the outskirts of Bendigo. This is an ideal place to take a break away from it all. Peace and tranquility surrounded by nature. We are just far enough away from the town to offer the outdoors feel and close enough to town to enjoy sightseeing, and many outdoor activities and access to shops, fuel and most of the usual shopping needs.

The farmhouse is a perfect getaway for families or small groups. Not too far from the city, easy to get to, has all the amenities to be comfortable and the land is big enough to go on a short walk. The horses in the adjacent lot were friendly enough to come up to the fence for a pat.
Kitchen is stocked with equipment, there’s heaters and extra blankets to keep warm. The tv has casting capability which made watching movies by the fire nice and easy.
A couple of points to note. It is on a moderately busy road considering how remote it is. Just tune out the passing traffic and it’s otherwise completely peaceful. Also, you’ll need to bring water or boil and cool the water there to drink/use.
Overall, great value! We had a wonderful stay and felt right at home. It was the perfect getaway for my friends and I. We would definitely come back again and stay.

What sets Little Bell apart is its seamless fusion of rustic charm and contemporary luxury. The flushing toilet, hot water river water shower and (new!) bath are game-changers, offering all the convenience of home without sacrificing the immersive outdoor vibe. Kerry and Ben have clearly poured their hearts into making every stay special and it shows! Little Bell is only a 10-15 minute drive into Echuca, so a perfect base to go and explore the beautiful Portside town and all it has to offer. Despite being so close to the town, this place is any Australian outdoor lovers paradise - feels like a true home away from home. We loved staying at Little Bell. Kerry & Ben have anticipated the needs of their guests so well, everything Is really well thought out and set up with rustic charm!
We loved the big bath/trough for the very hot days and the convenience of a flushing toilet, a shower and a small fridge were real luxuries compared to normal camping.
We had a constant couple of Kookaburra friends and spotted a goanna. Despite the handy proximity to town it felt very private and still very much like you’re out in ‘the bush’.

1 night at Aintree Farm Organics.
We loved staying at the yellow cabin! It was a cosy place to stop on our way down from sydney to melb. The host was extremely accomodating and helpful and the farm is very beautiful.

Tent
Aintree Farm Organics was a great location for a getaway. The property is beautiful, with stunning gardens and gorgeous tall trees to camp among.
The Glamping Tent is intimate and cosy, and even has enough space for a four-legged friend!
The Yellow Cabin is a relaxing and homely, with more space and facilities than the tent.
It's the perfect place to fall asleep listening to the chorus of frogs and insects, and to wake to birds singing as the sun rises over the olive grove.
