The interior design is reflective of an intimate gallery with art-work and cosy furniture in every room. Guests are welcome to enjoy the gardens and walk throughout the 40 acre property and surrounding bush-land which is especially good for bird-watching. The historic gold mining town of Rushworth is a 3km walk through the bush and the Waranga Basin is a short distance away - great for fishing & water sports. The retreat is also a short drive (10mins) to the historic gold rush area of Whroo where you can learn about the gold rush and spend time hiking in Box-Ironbark National Parks. King Billy Retreat is centrally located in Victoria and only two hours from Melbourne, 50mins from Bendigo and 40mins from Echuca on the Murray River and Shepparton.
