Nestled amongst the mountains just outside of the township of Whittlesea our 40-acre property sits above the clouds. This experience comes with sweeping views, a hidden waterfall, a clear campground, and plenty of wildlife. The camping area is accessible by 4WD only, otherwise, strap on a backpack and earn it! (800m walk/hike from where a non-4WD can park). The waterfall is reached by a single trail track from the campsite, and you do need to be an experienced hiker to get to the waterfall. Which is part of the appeal! We welcome self-contained campers, who bring their own toilet and take all waste with them. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy. Or choose to stay in our beautiful A-frame cabin, with plush bedding, cozy fire, and outdoor lounge. More than anything else this is a place to relax and be away from normal, live outside yourself, and rediscover what weekends are for.  Dogs are welcome, so long as they don't bother the wildlife. Campfires are allowed, BYO firewood or campers can collect fallen timber from the property.

Magic Mountain
Last minute magic
Would recommend magic mountain to anyone. Such a short trip from Melbourne but has all the feels of some deep bush. The track up isn't as hectic as others made it out, the clearance over the humps would be the only issue I could see in nice dry weather such as what we had. Went up with some girlfriends and had a lovely 2 nights amongst the trees. Stars a plenty and views for days. Thank you!

An absolutely perfect view!!! My partner and I LOVED our stay at Magic Mountain. Would recommend this to anyone who is looking for an “off the grid” scenic getaway. The bath, the net, the A-Frame tiny home 👌🏼

Perfect weekend away!
This place was amazing. The driveway is STEEP so would recommend a 4WD like it states but once you get to the top it’s incredible. The bed was comfy, the facilities were clean and everything you would need. Highly recommend this place for a quiet getaway

Magic Mountain
Absolutely stunning! to be so fortunate to have a camp spot like this so close to town is just breath taking! The drive up does need a vehicle with higher clearance than a stock SUV or road car. The wet would be challenging and i would imagine 4x4 would be the only way in or out or at least some all terrains with good bite in the muddy clay. We'll be back for sure. The A frame on site, i have to be honest, isnt worth it. There's no curtains at all, so you'll be up as soon as the suns up. The waterfall, well..lets be honest...it doesnt exist. The site though is truely awesome.
