This is not a caravan park or luxury resort. It’s something softer, simpler, and soul-filled — a place for deep rest, barefoot mornings, and quiet reconnection with the land. You’ll find: • Trees, birdsong, and friendly visits from owls, possums, and foxes • A herb and veggie garden you're welcome to forage from • Outdoor seating, shady spots for reading or resting, and seasonal campfires • Easy access to public toilets (cleaned twice daily) • The Wunghnu café, tavern, and the region’s cheapest fuel — just a 2-minute stroll away • Occasional highway noise — softened by the sound of creek water and wildlife 🌾 Optional Experience: Join a paddock-to-plate Organic Regenerative Farm Tour. Walk the land, meet the growers, and discover where your food comes from. Fresh produce is available for purchase. (Ask for pricing and availability.) Pitch your tent or park your van under open skies, with a fire to sit by and stars to dream beneath. Though you’ll hear some road noise from the nearby highway, what you’ll also hear are whispers of frogs, rustling trees, laughing kookaburras, and the secret steps of possums, foxes, and water rats at dusk. The camp area is in the backyard — as camping directly beside the creek isn’t permitted. From the yard, you can stroll down to the water, spot fish darting in the shallows, and feel the calm this land naturally offers. There’s a playground right next door, making this a great stop for families, and the vibe here is simple, earthy, and welcoming. If you're seeking a soft place to land — to unplug, rekindle your connection to nature, and feel a little more human again — you're in the right place.

Nice space for a one night stopover. The main road noise dies down, beautiful space to wake up to.

Creek campsite
Kellie was a very pleasant and helpful host with suggestions of local interests and dining options. The site had a lovely view across the creek, but for us was lacking privacy. At times there was some traffic noise. Access to drinking water, electricity and a very clean toilet was a plus.

Great little spot. Very accessible and lovely being so close to the creek. The kids had a ball throwing in a fishing line, playing on the play equipment and tending to the camp fire. Having the very clean public toilets so close is an added bonus.

Don't just stay in a caravan park cause this site is better. Exceptionally easy access with all the space you need as close to the creek as you like with no neighbours. The quirky pub and sensational family run (I think) cafe is a short stroll from the campsite. The public toilets close by are brilliantly clean with soap dispensers and electric hand dryers. If you have kids, there is also a great playground. Truly, this is a charming place to stay and nothing is too much trouble - even some fire wood was provided. We didn't require power or water, but it is also available.
