Our family live in the recently completed straw bale house on the property, which sits well below the camping sites. The property has a fully functional camp kitchen with a large deck as well as a bathroom with toilet and shower. Due to the slope the tent sites are not suitable for camp trailers (the tent sites are flat but there is nowhere flat to park a car next to it) and the tent sites are not suitable for vehicles. These beautiful towns contain an array of boutique wineries, craft breweries, bakeries and cafes, or you can choose to follow a farm gate food trail.The area also provides opportunities to go horse-riding, bike riding on one of the many rail trails or be adventurous on the mountain bike tracks at Falls Creek in the warmer months with snow sports in winter. The surrounding mountain ranges offer numerous famous 4wd trails or you might like to try your hand at panning for gold.This is a working farm and our animals are our family. They are very friendly but only know us and not you so please do not enter their homes without us, but feel free to talk to them over the gates. Be aware that all fences are electric and are switched on at all times. There is a dedicated communal campfire area for use when fire restrictions permit and we request that no additional fire pits are created during your stay. As this is a working property we are unable to accommodate your pets. We welcome pets on leashes, but they must be under control at all times by owners and cleaned up after. We ask that you organise and confirm any animals coming to the farm prior to booking by message. The powered camp site can cater up to 50 people. $50.00 per person per night (except children under 10 years old). All persons under 18 years of age are to be supervised whilst on the farm. Alternatively, for people not wanting to camp out or those with caravans or RV’S we have a site in close proximity to a 20 x 9 mtr shed, powered with concrete slab. Please read the whole listing, lots to tell you about us. Campsites 1 is large and can accommodate two vans and 2 - 3 tents (or 14 -16 people). Campsites 2 and 3 are smaller and more suited to one van with 1 - 2 tents (or 4 - 6 people). Ample car parking. Campsites are 110m apart with a light screen of trees in between, no crowds here. Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - just drive slowly. Dogs welcome, firewood is easily gathered by you, and often in piles by your campsite. Campsites are NOT near water. They are near a dry gully, with an **** unfenced dam.**** We have a beautiful swimming hole at the property entrance, in Boggy Creek. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shaded lawn area, BBQ and pot belly fire. The creek is 3kms from the campsites. Near The Hut is the gate to take a walk up to Sugar Loaf (500m return), where you can see amazing grass trees and place a rock on the cairn. Look for the wallabies that live up there. Stay with us to get away from crowded campsites, to enjoy a quieter holiday, while being close to a great tourist district. The King Valley showcases wineries, gourmet food, eateries, restaurants, pubs, brewery, even a gin distillery. We are surrounded by creeks, rivers and lakes, with many fishing, swimming and kayaking options - all within a 30 minute drive! You can also use the property as a base for your adventure in the local region. We are located less than 15 minutes away from Moyhu where there is a fantastic cafe, pub, and shops, and Milawa, where you can enjoy the award-winning Brown Brothers winery and Milawa Cheese Company. It is also less than 30 minutes to Wangaratta, Beechworth, and Myrtleford not to mention a few minutes from the Snow road. This site is for self-sufficient campers only. All guests must have their own toilet and all waste must be taken when departing to keep the natural beauty of the area. We also ask that noise levels be kept to a minimum to preserve the peace of the surrounding wildlife. North East Vic is a tourist mecca, with food and wine, lakes and rivers, cycling and markets, mountains and waterfalls. - We are only 2 and half hours from Melbourne and 20 mins off Hume Fwy, via Wangaratta. Please read the whole listing, lots to tell you about us. Campsites 1 is large and can accommodate two vans and 2 - 3 tents (or 14 -16 people). Campsites 2 and 3 are smaller and more suited to one van with 1 - 2 tents (or 4 - 6 people). Ample car parking. Campsites are 110m apart with a light screen of trees in between, no crowds here. Accessed via 3.5km of rough dirt track - not recommended for low vehicles or low towing vans. The track is rough BUT easily driven by all vehicles - just drive slowly. Dogs welcome, firewood is easily gathered by you, and often in piles by your campsite. Campsites are NOT near water. They are near a dry gully, with an **** unfenced dam.**** We have a beautiful swimming hole at the property entrance, in Boggy Creek. Guests are welcome to enjoy the shaded lawn area, BBQ and pot belly fire. The creek is 3kms from the campsites. Near The Hut is the gate to take a walk up to Sugar Loaf (500m return), where you can see amazing grass trees and place a rock on the cairn. Look for the wallabies that live up there. This is a lovely camping spot tucked away in the King Valley with absolutely incredible views of the surrounding mountain ranges. The hosts were super accommodating and friendly going out of their way to deliver us some matches when we arrived after dark and needed to cook our food! We were also shown around the native fish farm across the road from the camp which was fascinating. The camp site is ever so conveniently located 200m walk from ‘La Cantina’ winery which has some beautiful wines! A short drive will also take you to the bigger wineries. Thanks Kim and Andrew. We will be back again for sure!!

This is one of the best camps I have stayed at! Michael has made such an effort to make the whole trip a success, from giving good directions, greeting you at arrival and showing you where to go. He also has a list of things to do in the area which was super helpful. The sites are green and private. I could even walk barefoot on the lawn which doesn’t happen often in Aus! The toilets and showers are super clean and bins are provided which again makes the stay easy. Easy river access and only a short walk from town. We will def be back

What an amazing place to rest and relax. The sites were huge with fire pits provided. Lots of shade and sun depending on your preference. All you can hear is the sound of the water and birds. There were lots of flies but even people in town had the same issue. I would highly recommend Willowood. I will be back.

Second time back to Riverside King Valley. Another great trip! Toilet and firewood ready to go on arrival. Warm welcome from Daemon. And the site as pristine and beautiful as I remembered. Robinia Rainforest is a great site for privacy away from other campers. It's the last site furthest away from other campers with plenty of shade as well. Also feels like your own private section of River as well with the way it curves along the camp sites.

We loved our stay at Willowood! It was such a beautiful, peaceful property. The site was immaculate when we arrived and the built in fire pit was a bonus. My dogs loved swimming in the river and watching the cows. Our experience may have been an anomaly, as we didn’t see any reviews mention this, but the number of flies did impact the tranquility a little. We also came unprepared without any deterrents (rookie mistake for seasoned campers), so we’d recommend bringing some along to make the most of your stay. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to be back.

Mount Buffalo offers ample hiking opportunities. The horn had hunting nankeen kestrels. The corral had fun off-track rock scrambles. Camelback and the Cathedral had stunning views. Ladies bath falls was a bit crowded, but a creek hop was delightful.
