This is a lovely camping spot tucked away in the King Valley with absolutely incredible views of the surrounding mountain ranges. The hosts were super accommodating and friendly going out of their way to deliver us some matches when we arrived after dark and needed to cook our food! We were also shown around the native fish farm across the road from the camp which was fascinating. The camp site is ever so conveniently located 200m walk from ‘La Cantina’ winery which has some beautiful wines! A short drive will also take you to the bigger wineries. Thanks Kim and Andrew. We will be back again for sure!!

What a spot! We really enjoyed staying at Glenwater, by the dam and the picturesque views across the vineyard. Location was brilliant for a short walk to the nearby winery for afternoon drinks on the lawn, and central to all the things you want to explore in King Valley.

Creek Retreat
Amazing shady spot and just a short stroll to La Cantina Winery, we loved it. Close enough to Whitfield and wineries for exploring but far enough away to escape from the crowd. And still only a 30 minute drive from Wangaratta. Perfect. Thank you Kim :)

Fabulous site to stay, peaceful and private. At a busy time of year it was a treat to have an entire space to ourselves.
Fantastic hosts with great communication.
So much to do in the area. 5 days wasn’t enough time. We’ll be back!

Fantastic location and views. Literally a 5 minute stroll to La Cantina. Had what must have been an enormous cod on the line at one point but he saw us and decided he wasn’t interested and swam off. It was a smaller space than I expected from the photos but still plenty of room. As previous comments have mentioned needed to better factor in shade as it was warm in the sun and no trees in the spots you could set up.

Great for family friendly and first timers camping! We were even greeted by the friendly cows nearby which was a lovely experience for my nephew. Fishing was also bonus activity which helped make time go by faster for the kids.

Such a beautiful view! Perfect camping spot for more privacy and a great flat space to put a swag down comfortably, so nice waking up to the views of mountains and the sunrise above the dam right outside our tent!

We loved the privacy and security of using a hip camp in this area. So close for day trips to the river, wineries and brewery jugs down the road. Kim was very hospitable and prompt with communication.

Site was in a beautiful location, completely private and with a beautiful winery only a short walk away.
Our host had excellent communication, answering all my questions in the lead up and was able to supply firewood and set up a private toilet for us.

This was a lovely campsite. Kim was extremely helpful during our stay and was very responsive to anything we needed. Thank you Kim! We enjoyed watching the cows and listening to the frogs at night.

It was the best place if you like your own space! We really loved the location for our day trips around the high country. Our dog also really loved being able to roam around off leash.

We really enjoyed our time here, very peaceful and having your own secluded camping spot was great.
Scenery was beautiful and the dam water was so clean it looked drinkable.
Make sure to bring something for shade as this spot has no trees but other then that it was a fantastic two day trip.

Amazing site, very private with lots of space, good to have water for the dogs to jump in if it’s a hot day.
The cost to use the portable toilet is $25, and another $25 for wood for the campfire - a wheel barrow full, which was enough for 2 nights.
Take a fly face net if the weather is warm, there were a lot of flies.

Kim's land was perfect for a few days away on a solo trip. Just me and my dog. The space was perfect for my little camper. At night, I enjoyed the chorus of frogs that sent me off to sleep. It was very peaceful. I also enjoyed the sounds of the nearby cows and the ducks on the pond during the day. Their was space for us to wander, to play fetch but mostly to sit and relax by the fire.

Kim’s camp was brilliant. Instructions were easy to follow. Camp was ready with firewood and toilet on site and was greeted on arrival with a dozen fresh eggs. The site was perched on a flat rise above the fish pond with great views to the hills in the east and the west. Perfect set up for shoulder season but with no trees in summer it could be challenging if you don’t have sufficient shade.
10/10. I’ll be back.

If you’re looking for serenity with a few wine tastings and good food thrown in this is the place. Star gazing, great sunrises and sunsets, watch the cows come and go and long walks up long country roads. Great for recharging the batteries.

We loved camping on Kim’s property. It was very private and great for our dogs too. The views are beautiful and sunset / sunrise are amazing! Not to mention the stars at night, just stunning. We enjoyed how close it was to La Cantina and the rest of the King Valley. Great place.

Camping at Glenwaters Farmstay was amazingly relaxing for our first time camping. We arrived late at 10pm and turning down the Glenwaters Fishery sign the site was incrediblely easy to find. Waking up in the morning to an amazing view over the lake to mountains one side and the vineyard and cows on the otherside.
A quick breaky with eggs Kim supplied and the kids were off to run a muck. Fishing, yabbying and a guided tour through the Cod Farm was exciting!
Roasting marshmallows over a fire watching the sun set over the water, nothing better.
Thank you Kim and your partner for having us and making our first time camping so simple. We would love to come back soon!
