From there, we started raising Black Angus in 2008 after spending four years cleaning up the fields to make it safe for animals. We strive to be good stewards with our land as we continue to work with Clackamas Soil and Water to make better working lands. The house Ralph and Mary Geer built in 1851 stands and is one of the oldest in Oregon to remain in the same family. The scenery from all corners of the farm is incredible - a favorite is the westward view of the valley pasture at sunset -- called "Homer's View" after famous political cartoonist and Geer descendant, Homer Davenport. No matter which camping site you choose, the sounds of the creek, pond frogs, or conversing owls are sure to lull you to sleep. Feel free to roam the farm, but always leave gates as you find them, open or closed. Please say hello to our sheep and barn cats (they may say hello first). Explore the Heritage Grove of historic trees, the Memorial apple orchard and pear glade with varieties circa 1840s, indulge your senses in our medicinal herb garden, and chat with our farm family while they water the veggie gardens, if you so wish! There is no shower, but there is a portable toilet with a wash station located outside. We do provide a full 5-gallon water cooler for drinking since there is no running water. For cooking there is a 24" Blackstone 2-burner griddle, and small propane cans are provided. Also, the cabin is furnished with a small supply of pots and pans. There is a battery that provides lighting, and phone charging is available in the cabin. During the cooler months, there is a small wood stove for heating, and firewood is provided. The cabin sleeps 2, but there is room for a camper and/or tents. This campsite is meant to be very simple, so you should plan on bringing whatever you may need/want for camping.

Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn. The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian. An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options. Other nearby activities include hiking and mountain biking in Mary's Peak and Alsea Falls recreational area. Access to the Alsea River is located 1.5 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road or at nearby Clemmons Park. The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests. It contains (2) queen size beds, and one pull out couch. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder. There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin. Other features include a fire pit, wood fired sauna, and creek access for cold dips. Internet is available in the cabin. There is a Level 1 vehicle charger available for guests. The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts. The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Do not be surprised to see a few or many spiders, slugs and other bugs. There are occasional bunnies, wild turkeys, Garter Snakes by the ponds and newts on the trails. Please maintain good situational awareness when enjoying the property as structures and grounds may have some inherent hazards. The barn is off limits. Greenhouse and gardens are fine to explore as long as doors and gates are closed and dogs are kept out. Please do not throw any trash in the porta-potties. 4WD/AWD REQUIRED PAST THE BARN: The steep gravel roads can be tough for some cars and rigs (particularly on the way out) and consequently, can cause a lot of damage to our roads. So for everyone's safety, we have restricted access to only vehicles with 4WD or AWD only. Please do not message us asking us to advise on the vehicle you have. If someone in your party has a 2WD vehicle, they can park up in the entry lot and get shuttled down to the campsites in a 4WD vehicle. DOG FRIENDLY: We are as dog friendly as it gets here. Unleashed dogs are allowed on this property down by the creek (on-leash required in and around the barn). If you have a fear of dogs, or have dogs that are not friendly with other people or fellow dogs, this probably isn't the right campground for you. Of course, we expect all dog owners to keep an eye on their pets so they don't disturb other campers or ingest anything they're not supposed to. QUIET HOURS: 10pm-9am. We ask that guests keep the noise (loud music and loud conversations) to a minimum between 10pm and 9am. We live onsite and will enforce these if we have to (please don't make us). NO FIREARMS, FIREWORKS OR ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE USE. This is not a late night party campsite. Last season I focused on chickens- alive (egg layers for your back yard flock) and dead (meat birds in the freezer and available for your camp dinner). Two cows roam the front pasture and my goal is to grow their numbers to be able to improve the soil health here at the farm.. -My tiny home is in the area of the sites, but far enough away to maintain privacy. Otherwise it is a private and secluded area. Because I live on site, I will not allow repeat visits if groups become rowdy or disrespectful. -There is ELECTRICITY and WATER on site. The electricity is through a standard household outlet so an adaptor will be necessary, and possibly an extension cord, depending on where you choose to set up. Enjoy the calm, quiet serenity of the South Santiam River. Get back to the basics here and just relax and enjoy nature. We have a small cabin with a bunk bed, and a camping toilet is provided. For cooking there is a 24" Blackstone 2-burner griddle, and small propane cans are provided. Also, the cabin is furnished with a small supply of pots and pans. There is a battery that provides lighting, and phone charging is available in the cabin. During the cooler months, there is a small wood stove for heating, and firewood is provided. The cabin sleeps 2, but there is room for a camper and/or tents. This campsite is meant to be very simple, so you should plan on bringing whatever you may need/want for camping.

Our farm is nestled at the end of Honey Grove Valley in the lush coastal mountains. The creek meanders through our seven acre property. The north side contains a field, small orchard, greenhouses and barn. The south side is steep and wooded with healthy riparian. An extension to the Honey Grove trail leads out of the property accessing a user maintained hiking/mountain biking trail with 1.5, 3, 5 and 7 mile loop options. Other nearby activities include hiking and mountain biking in Mary's Peak and Alsea Falls recreational area. Access to the Alsea River is located 1.5 miles from the property on Honey Grove Road or at nearby Clemmons Park. The guest cabin has two rooms and can sleep (4) guests comfortably and up to (6) guests. It contains (2) queen size beds, and one pull out couch. One bed is in a loft accessed by a ship ladder. There is a small kitchen and an un-attached bathhouse. The toilet is non-flush, composting. From the designated parking area there is a 200 foot walk along a gravel path to the cabin. The property also contains a host residence. The area around the residence is for the hosts. The cabin and the property are very quaint and inviting but also very rustic. Camp Colton is an awesome place to visit! Their property is large and has a lot of activities to explore (animal petting area, trails on the property, and a fishing pond). They've got a variety of awesome structures including cabins, a tiny home, yurts, and a communal covered fire pit gazebo. The Beehive cottage met my expectations perfectly, it was clean, warm, and tucked into the trees right by a creek that runs through the property. It was perfect for a quick getaway, while providing comfortable amenities during a cold and rainy Oregon fall evening. The bed is perfectly comfortable, and was made prior to my arrival. The host provided towels and linens, I didn't need to bring anything extra. Additionally, there is a covered back patio which is a perfect spot to sit out and listen to the babble of the creek and wildlife spot. I would recommend a stay here!

First off we felt very welcomed. We loved the livestock, the river, the amenities and all the special details they put into this place. The lights around the campsites, the clean bathrooms and showers, the firepits, the water, the shared common space. All the wildlife was incredible also. We saw a coyote, deer, bald eagles, chipmunks and a common Merganser. Such a great place! We will be back.

We are closed for the season to let our land rest and, well it gets pretty soggy around here in the winter months. We'll open up in again in April but, we're taking reservations for the 2026 season... Our one designated site, closest to the river bank we call the Riverside Site. It can be reserved for up to 4 people. It can only accommodate smaller tents, campers, pop up trailers, small pod-type trailers and larger rigs up to 15'. has a rustic firepit and your own deck for viewing the river. For groups of 5 or more or people or camping with large 10 person tents or trailers over 20', there will be an additional fee and you will need to set up camp in our Riverwood Site, about 150' from the riverbank. You will still have full access to the deck and firepit in the other site but, larger rigs cannot maneuver in the site without tearing up the grass and leaving ruts on our property. **Please note**When you make the reservation you will add an "Extra", ADDITIONAL CAMPSITE. We have indoor bathroom facilities for our guests in a separate apartment we have downstairs of our house. There is a small living and dining area, kitchenette with barista bar, microwave and small fridge. It is about 150' walk and is visible from the campsites but, still feels private. We also offer our little Bunkie, the Glass House for an extra fee. The Bunkie sleeps two comfortably. It has a nice mattress (Please bring your own sleeping bags), a comfy bench, a coat rack, remote control lights and a nice electric heater. There are curtains all around for privacy. You'll use the bathroom facilities in the apartment. All of our guests have full access to our personal dock to get down to the water. Feel free to fish off the dock, swim, Kayak, SUP or just enjoy the evening on the dock. Our property is about a 10 minute drive to the Ocean/Hwy 101, just south of Lincoln City.
