Tranquil RV spot on our one acre property, an hour's drive from Portland, Corvallis or the Pacific Ocean and 45 minutes from Salem. Our mile long rural road is great for family bike rides, bird watching, picking blackberries and other fruit in the late summer. We are close to the Yamhill River for some kayaking or canoeing. Our property offers a quiet refuge from the hustle and bustle of the city and being away from city lights make us a great spot for some star gazing. We recently finished building our passive Eco-home and are in the process of creating a permaculture food forest by planting lots of fruit trees and other perennials. We have a flock of 10 hens. We want to share our rural little farm with traveling guests. We look forward to meeting you and sharing our favorite local spots.This RV spot, on an old horse track, is nestled between our growing food forest and a huge old crab apple tree with a nice view of Red Hill to the northeast. A nearby fenced in pond is home to ducks, blue heron, white egrets and lots of frogs and even a family of raccoons. Our one acre is home to a flock of 10 hens and 3 outside cats. It has wild spaces and play nooks for little ones and an optionally fenced fire pit. We recently built our home and are in the process of creating a food forest. We have neighbors all around us, but it's quiet and relaxed and a great spot for star gazing on clear nights. Depending on the season, you'll see beautiful trees in blossom or taste sweet blackberries and different varieties of local apples. We are a 11 minute walk to the very shady Yamhill County Locks Park with swings, covered picnic areas, and a footpath to river access for kayaks, canoes, and small rafts. Mellow family biking is a great activity on our road. Need supplies or want to grab a bite to eat? Town is close by and we'd be happy to point you to our favorite places!

Firepit, private. Our site includes a rustic fire pit, handmade from an old truck wheel. We put in place an optional safety fence to protect children but feel free to lift and roll out of the way if you would prefer not to use the safety fence. Keep fires in fire pit below 2 ft. high to follow local rules. Thanks!
Pets allowed
On leash. We have a flock of hens and 3 outdoor cats. Dogs, on leash, are welcome. Please, if you know your dog likes to chase chickens, keep your pet contained in your RV or on leash at all times. Our children LOVE their chickens!!

I was so fortunate to have found this little gem. The countryside is beautiful. Mules and a horse graze the neighbouring fields. Very tranquil. The fire pit was much enjoyed. If quiet and country is your intention, it will not disappoint 💞

Easy spot to stay!! It’s got a picnic table a fire pit and 30 amp power! The host are really nice and welcoming I would stay again I have a pickup and 15 foot travel trailer it was an easy fit

Tad and Alanna met me at my arrival for a quick get-to-know and what was needed. Semi-private camp spot was close to chickens, but surprisingly they were not noisy (thankfully no rooster that I heard). Spot is off the main road so only road noise was passing neighbor cars. Crab apple trees were ripe for picking, blackberries already finished. I spent my daytime hours away from camp spot and at the McMinnville Highland Games Festival where I was competing in heavy athletics. On my departure day, I received a thank you note expressing interest in the Highland Games after meeting me and stating that their family was their watching me, which added a nice personal touch to the visit.

There weren't many campgrounds around McMinnville so we were very happy to find this perfect place to park our camper van and have a campfire! The blackberries were delicious and Tad and Alanna shared some fresh fruit from their trees!

This is a great little spot with a picnic table and fire-pit. You can nestle your camper next to the tree to create a screen between you and the house. The spot is level and easy to back into. Alanna was very attentive when we arrived to inform us of where to park. We were here 24 hours- wine tasted in the region- great access to town and wineries. Enjoy!

Overall a safe place to spend the night. Tad came out to great me and was really nice. Not much shade and very close to what appeared to be someone living in a trailer on the property. It was very hot the day I was there, so I ended up driving to a nearby park where there was shade and spending the day there. The owners have planted more trees, so I think once it fills in, it'll be much improved!

Great place in a beautiful setting. We were able to access the river through a short walk and catch some smallmouth bass. Ted and Alanna were very kind. Great family. We enjoyed our stay.

My husband and I stayed here and it was great for what it was. We were in a tent, and there is no bathroom, but we were aware of that. It was quiet and peaceful and just what we needed.

Very accommodating host, and the kids even put a welcome sign at the end of the driveway so we could find out way easier. Large space in quiet rural area close to vineyards and our kids. We will stay again when we visit them in our motorhome. Thank you Tad & Alana and kids, much appreciated

Great little spot to park and camp for the weekend. There’s a big crab apple tree that provides privacy between you and their house. And on the other side there are bushes to provide privacy the other direction. Nice picnic table, fire pit and things for kids to play with. Tad and his wife are so kind and generous. They left a carton of handpicked blueberries for us the morning we left and their kids drew a cute welcome sign that they hung at the end of the driveway so we knew where to turn. Such a great family! Would absolutely stay there again and recommend it to anyone.
