Ruah Ranch is situated on an old donation land claim and was also the site of nomadic Native American tribes. Abundant wildlife graces our acres as well as the beautiful Thoroughbred horses we raise. You'll likely be serenaded by coyotes in the evenings and may catch sight of them during the day.  Three different species of raptors frequent the skies above the ranch and beavers have established outposts along the stream.  Beautiful thoroughbred horses will greet you every morning from their nearby pasture while you enjoy your coffee in the shade of the trellised Wisteria. Silver Falls State Park is a short drive away where you can enjoy hiking and biking and even guided horseback rides. The Oregon Gardens are just a bit further north on the outskirts of Silverton and many wineries dot the landscape all around.  If you like horses we’ll be happy to give you a tour of the ranch and introduce you to the resident equines, many of which have horse racing royalty up close in their lineage.

Site 2 - Horse Ranch near Silver Falls Park
We stayed at the Ranch for two nights. The Ranch is located in rolling hills with beautiful surroundings of nature. Watching the horses, chickens and cats was so much pleasure. Very peaceful area. The hosts were great. They provided the accurate directions to the Ranch.

Beautiful ranch, friendly host. I really enjoyed watching the horses and meeting the friendly cats and Corgi. Great place to camp just outside of Silver Falls State Park, was able to get an early start and beat the 4th of July crowds on the trail.

Great directions. Lovely spot. Bathroom was near and fully stocked. The horses were energetic and ran around their paddocks which was fun to watch.

Enchanting Experience
This place is so special and I'm so grateful we found it, as I would definitely come back and stay there again sometime! We just needed a place to crash near Salem during our son's soccer tournament weekend, and I ended up feeling like being on this property was the highlight of our time away. It was really hard not to pet and cuddle all the beautiful horses, but just being in their presence, observing and talking to them was an enchanting experience. Connie and Lee were very generous in sharing about their life on the ranch, and I felt like we had everything we needed for a couple of night's camp...a flat place to pitch a tent, a picnic table under an arbor, a gas campfire, running water, plumbed toilet, electricity, gorgeous countryside views and peaceful vibes. If you're looking for a nearby place to take a swim in natural waters, I recommend driving up Hwy 22 to North Fork County Park for the divine swimming hole there!

We always enjoy staying at the Ruah Ranch. The hosts are friendly and accommodating, the property is beautifull, and nights are peaceful, Our granddaughter fell in love with Molly, the barn cat who loves to be held! We’ll certainly look forward to our next visit.
