Beautiful place to camp in, the host was very nice and welcoming. I camped in #2 spot with my RTT and absolutely enjoyed my time. The crickets at night were fantastic! I will absolutely be back!

Overall we had a wonderful time. Brad was great at pre-trip communication, and was available whenever needed while we were camping. There was one piece of significant miscommunication. We rented two campsites, #3 & #4. We chose them because they were the most secluded and there were two families camping in our group. One campsite had very little flat area for a tent and made things a little difficult, especially once others started walking through our site. We made the assumption that in renting the two campsites, that the areas were our area/space for the time we were there. We specifically use hip camp because we like to camp in places where we are away from others. Our camp site included a pond. We ended up having to leave half of our site because another large group took over the pond. It was disappointing. Brad had asked if we minded sharing the pond, but he asked us in front of the other visitors, and at the time there were only three people. We felt like jerks saying, "no." Then, it turns out their group was much larger. We had loungers and were reading by the pond and ended up having to leave because it was no longer peaceful. It felt like we paid for two sites, but only got full use of one. Would I recommend it? Yes, but figure out what the boundaries are if that is important to you. The giant Jenga is a massive amount of fun too! The time of year we visited, early September, was great for blackberry picking too. We even made a blackberry cobbler while there!

Not only was Brad a wonderful host, the land itself was gorgeous. We were greeted and given a tour, and Brad worked with me to help ensure my son enjoyed his first ever camping trip. The meadow was easy to get to and very scenic, while the forest inspired my son to take a lot of photos! Overall, this was an excellent campsite that has a lot of character in all the best of ways. I would highly recommend coming here in the future if you want a friendly, welcoming, and wonderful play to camp! Just some notes: Site #2 fit my 6-8 person (It's been a minute since I read the label) tent very well on the flat portion, and the way to the outhouse is very straight forward. The grounds are lit up and other campers are generally positioned to where you either can't see them, or you aren't on the same level as them so lights aren't a problem. Water, parking, and the fire pit were very readily at hand as well.

Brad was an awesome host. He took us for a tour of the property and our son had a great time learning about all the different spots and walking with their forest cast, Waldo. The property was easy to find. En even though we got there while dark it was very easy to spot the campsite and set up the tent.
