Reconnect with nature and escape the heat on our 28 acre filbert orchard, better known as hazelnuts. On hot summer days you’ll find the temperature under the orchard canopy almost 10 degrees cooler at the heat of the day. Feel free to roam the orchard, play a little hide and seek, hang up a hammock, or bring a blanket and picnic. Within walking or bicycle distance are fantastic amenities including Aurora Colony Vineyards, Pheasant Run Tasting room (Friday summer concerts), Aurora Colony Pub (acoustic Thursday), Filbert Farmhouse Restaurant, White Rabbit Bakery, Aurora Healing Gardens-psilocybin experience (advanced reservation required), a local park and lots of antique stores. Within driving distance are tons of wineries, breweries, distilleries and the Woodburn Outlet Mall. Here to visit wine country? Welcome campers! This site is perfect for tent and car camping. Parking is available for only a single vehicle but multiple tents if needed. For roof top tents, you may want to be in our old growth orchard sites 1-9 for shade and privacy. You will have a designated parking space between a row of Hazelnut Trees (16ft total length enough for a passenger vehicle). Feel free to pitch a tent in any comfortable spot nearby. These sites are by reservation only and will be reserved for you to arrive anytime during the length of your reservation. Your site will have a picnic table and a firepit, with firewood available for sale onsite (when not too dry). We usually have a burn ban that starts sometime in July and goes until the fall rain. We do allow propane fireplaces and stoves year-round. There are a few hammocks available for use when on property. We have 3 flushing toilets, an enclosed shower, and an outdoor shower. The outdoor shower has 3 walls, a curtain, and the best view of any shower nearby! Note that these toilets see heavy use Saturdays and Sundays from 7:30-9:30am. Plan accordingly if you want a shower or need to leave during this time period. Check out [xxxxxxxx] for winery, distillery and brewery tours. Great camp site, we felt very safe and the other sites were visible but far enough away to feel like we had our own space. Bathrooms were minimal but clean and as you would expect from a camp site. The orchard is beautiful this time of year, the amount of coverage made the air feel cool on a hot day. We’ll definitely book again.

Pretty sweet spot. Loved the privacy of the filberts, and space between the camp sites. So cool to park further back into the orchard. Little disappointed by the bath/shower experience, but that’s not saying much. Like any other Hip Camp so far, or State Park. Not very clean, per usual. Dank, moldy, dirt and grime all over the floor. The outdoor shower was stellar, outside of the stained shower curtains, and the mat acting as shower floor there was also generally gross. Not sure why more people don’t opt for a concrete slab in this set up, or wood with grip tape. No bench outside of the shower to dry off, and get collected. Again, totally par for the course. Just little details. Tiny complaints amidst a sea of many pleasantries. It’s a great spot, and well worth the stay.

It was a peaceful and quiet evening among the Filbert Groves. The running water sink and flushable toilets were a bonus in comparison to other hip camps that we had been to in the past. We are already considering a return trip in the near future!

“Tranquil Orchards” is a perfect name for this amazing place to camp! It was indeed very tranquil. It was so fun to set up camp in a row of hazelnut trees! I felt safe, peaceful and relaxed at this spectacular camp spot. Shane and his family were very welcoming, yet laid back. I enjoyed my outdoor shower with warm water in the morning. The so-called “outhouse”bathrooms were immensely clean and more in the direction of a regular restroom. I highly recommend this place for your next camping experience!

A cool and unique camping experience in a hazelnut orchard. It provided shade from the sun and there are multiple rows between each campsite so there is ample privacy. At the time we went in early July no fire bans so we enjoyed an evening fire. Picnic table and fire pit included. Toilets and showers. A fun and easy experience, would definitely stay here again!

Loved it! Such a unique experience! Firewood onsite was so convenient with a simple Venmo. The flushable bathrooms were amazing, the outdoor shower with a cold shower was very useful for a hot day. The campsite was pretty full but we were spaced out pretty well so it didn’t feel like we were all on top of each other. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back!

This was a great place to stay. The sites are nicely separated and easy to set up. We had a tent, teardrop trailer and there was lots of space. The orchard is quiet, peaceful and cozy with a little noise from the airport and train but it didn't detract at all. The restrooms and showers are nice, clean and make the stay more comfortable. It is close to pretty much anything.in the Portland area and provided us a good base to attend the Renaissance Fair in Canby. Shane was quick to respond to any questions and always polite. Would would definitely stay here again.
