forest + farm camping w fancy loo!
Nature camp is just what we were seeking for early camping experience with our young daughter, we can't wait to come back! Hosts, Val and Mike, have put so much effort and consideration into their Nature Camp. The campsites are well planned, nicely spaced and it was so nice only seeing glimpses of other guests as we were looking for remote with a touch of amenities.
Speaking of amenities.....the composting toilets are beautifully built, clean and were our toddlers favorite thing to use too! (She loved putting in shaving scoops, oh the newness of toileting!)
We appreciated the ability to purchase firewood onsite and the wheelbarrows were helpful as our cart/wagon wasn't up for the hill terrain when fully loaded.
Each afternoon we explored the network of trails and thoughtfully designed spaces Val and Mike have created for their guests. From the goats, chickens and pigs to little surprise pop outs with benches and fairy lights lining the wedding bluff, there is an eye to detail that makes camping here really special and we feel so lucky they had a mid week opening for us!
Next time we'll pack a bit lighter and we can't wait to come back.

Magical woodland
Camping here is about communing with old growth forest. It felt medicinal to watch the leaves flutter and walk on ground just barely a carpet over the massive web of roots beneath. Being able to pet the animals made my daughter so happy. The sound of the creek was all the music we needed. My daughter’s friend, who had never been camping, kept saying she never wanted to leave. Even the outhouses are beautiful. It’s a pretty magical place.

We’d come back again!
Great place in nature not too far from home. Very peaceful and other campers were nice. The hosts are very nice people and welcoming. It was our first experience using Hip Camp and the first time we’ve camped in 18 years. We’d definitely come again!

Great Site
Nature Camp was great! Campsite #4 was very secluded and spacious, perfect for my group. It is quite the trek from the parking area, so pack light or be prepared for multiple trips up and down. Overall, really serene and great for a relaxing weekend!

Beautiful wonderful stay
Absolutely wonderful stay. Complete privacy, beautiful full amenity cabin, and that old forest vibe ughh. Would be there every week if I could. Just want to thank them for providing a much needed relaxing get away, we couldn’t have asked for more. You’ll want to take home all of the wonderful farm animals (especially the baby goat Angel). Thanks again guys if you’re reading this, this was truly a perfect experience !!! See you soon.

The Perfect place!
Magical forested environment with plenty of buffering trees and shrubs providing privacy between sites. So enjoyed exploring the property with my dog finding a serene little brook on the upper part of the land and larger creek with a refreshing swimming hole at the lower part. I stayed in Site #3 which was huge easily accomodating 3 tents with ample space between each one. Nice touches included a hammock and log stump seats surrounding a very large firepit plus a 5gal bucket with water. Kindling was available at no cost. The compost loo was exceptionally clean with unexpected nice touches!
The host was kind, very accommodating and great about quick communication!
Nature Camp is ideally located near Lake Merwin for paddling, Lucia, Moulton Falls and Lewisville County Park for some enjoyable hiking. I would 100% recommend Nature Camp!

Site 7 - 10/10!
The owners were very friendly and the outhouses are kept stocked and cleaned. We ended up on site 7, as site 5 could not do fires at the time, and we were right by the outhouses. We barely noticed when the owners came to clean them. Site 7 feels very private and can easily fit 2-3 tents. Very shaded - we had a 91'F day and it was not bad at all! We had such a relaxing 4 night stay and are definitely planning on coming back again!!

Beautiful, peaceful space. Sites are generously spaced so you do not hear or see your neighbors. The common area along the creek and the creek themselves were both amazing. Hosts were very respectful of our space. We feel lucky to have been and would love to return.

Lovely and inviting space!
The cabin and the outdoor bathhouse were incredible! The hosts were accommodating, kind, and you could tell that they've put a lot of love and thought into the space. It's located a quick and beautiful 45-minute drive from Downtown Vancouver where we had a lovely time at the Saturday farmer's market and wine tasting. All around, this was a great experience!

Beautiful area of old growth forest. Lots of places to hike around and the farm animals were a hit. The swimming hole isn't really what we had in mind but it's a deep spot of the creek. The creek is beautiful and loaded with crawdads that the kids enjoyed catching and releasing. The side is big enough for 3 tents and 2 cars comfortable without being right next to each other. The fire pit is huge and has an are with a little grate to cook on. We bought firewood from them the second night and they were good size bundles. The out houses were amazing. Super clean compost toilets and they are built so great, one with a barn door style door. Overall we had a great stay.

This trip was simply amazing! Nature camp is located on 9 of the most enchanting acres I've ever experienced. Beautiful old growth forest and lovely rambling creeks. The hosts are delightful and I enjoyed talking with them. I felt incredibly safe and had a wonderful time. I will be back!!

Comfortably Secluded Camping
This was an awesome camping experience! The hosts are so kind and helpful, the outhouses were the nicest I've ever used (no smell!), and the animals were fun to visit. Our spot felt private even though we were near the crossroads of the parking area and outhouses. It's well taken care of and the hosts are very responsive. We will definitely be coming back here regularly!

So many good things to say
The owners are incredibly friendly. We bought firewood and to our site for us. The outhouse is super clean and eco-friendly. Although there are seven campsites, you can’t see them from where you are. They’re well spaced and pretty big. It was very relaxing to hear the creek behind the property. My favorite part was petting the pigs and goats. This is going to become an annual trip. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Nature camp is fantastic! The hosts, Val and Mike, have put so much detail oriented thought, labor and love into Nature Camp. The campsites are well thought out and nicely spaced from one another. The composting toilets are beautifully built, clean and pleasant to use. The hammocks in every campsite are delightful as are the trails throughout Nature Camp.
Visiting the land and chatting with Val and Mike was like visiting old friends. They were so welcoming and invited us to go in with their baby pigs to pet them as well as offering to let us go in and visit their very sweet goats and chickens. The baby goat won me over quickly, she was so sweet! They shared their vision of wanting Nature Camp to remain intact as the beautiful and magical forest that it is today for generations to come. Go there. Enjoy it. You will love it. Tell your friends and neighbors and help them spread the word about this amazing gem.
We stayed in campsite #1 which some reviews suggest is small. It is small only in comparison to the other sites at Nature Camp. We have a massive 2 room tent that we put up with room to spare, we could have fit another tent of the same size with ease. We had a party of 3 and we never felt crowded. The walk from the parking lot was a quick 1-2 minute walk. The hill on the way back up made me huff and puff just a bit but I’m 5 months pregnant.

We stayed in site 3 and it was huge, there was more than enough room for at least 4 tents and 2 vehicles, more if needed. It was also super private and you couldn't really see other people when at the site. The hosts delivered firewood directly to our site which was so appreciated. Low light pollution, we really enjoyed the view of the stars on first night we were there when it was clear. The bathrooms were very clean and smelled like fresh cedar. We enjoyed waking around, checking out the creeks, and seeing the farm animals, especially the baby pigs. Pretty quiet at night, some air traffic but not too loud and a bit of road noise but again not bad at all. We appreciated the little market up the road when our stove wouldn't light and we needed coffee. Looking forward to returning!

My 6yo daughter and I stayed at Site #6--a walk-in site very close to the creek. It was spacious, clean, and surrounded by beautiful trees and other plants. The toilets were clean and well-maintained. The hosts were very kind and thoughtful. My daughter enjoyed spending time with the goats and walking in the creek. I highly recommend this location.

Great for groups!
The owners here are so nice! And as others have said, the toilets are impressively well kept. We ended up having sites 2 & 5 which were great for our larger group as they are next to each other. We easily got 3 tents on each site with more room to spare. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to anyone whether they are seasoned campers or first time campers!

Great experience!
We Love NatureCamp! Our family is already planning our return trip. The owners are very friendly and take a lot of pride in their sites. The sites are large and clean and several are pretty private. And a bonus for the ladies (my wife gives full approval), the compost toilet outhouses are clean and spacious, and emptied often. The kids enjoy playing in the river/creek, as do the dogs. We really love it here and will be back again!

Lovely
We stayed in secluded gorgeous site 4. Heard a great horned owl at night. Beautiful creek. Hilly walk to and from the car, we brought a wagon, the wheelbarrow provided was too heavy for us to push uphill. Next time we would pack a little lighter. Off leash dogs are nice but one pooped in front of our tent ): absolutely beautiful toilets, plenty of water provided. Magical gorgeous, quiet, private, spacious, lovely place!

We’ll Be Back!
The natural beauty and peace at this campsite is unreal. My friends and I camp here every summer to rejuvenate our minds and always have a restful, enjoyable time. Each site feels private and is close enough to the river and composting toilet (which is always as clean as can be) for any site to be a great one. The cute and friendly animals are such a joy and the meditation spot by the river never gets old. We’ll be back again next year!

The care and upkeep that the hosts put into the beautiful camp sites are beyond evident. This is a beautiful piece of property, with abundant old growth canopies surrounding the sites to offer privacy and natural air conditioning in the summer. The hosts clearly love what they do and welcome everyone with warm greetings. We'll happily be back next summer.
