We had an awesome two-night stay at Site 1 over Fourth of July weekend! Naked Falls is absolutely stunning, and the campsite is spacious with a great mix of sun and shade, a fire pit, and, to our surprise, a picnic table (the listing said there wasn’t one).
We had 10 people, 4 large tents, and 4 vehicles with plenty of room. The trail to the falls starts right from Site 1, which was incredibly convenient. Just know that because of this, people (and often off-leash dogs) walk through the campsite to access the river. We loved the convenience, but if you want more privacy, another site may be a better fit. The hike is short with one steep section that has a built-in ladder, and we had no problem getting our dogs down.
The porta-potty was much closer than expected, just past Site 2, and was clean during our stay.
A few tips: screenshot all of the host’s directions and gate codes before arriving because there is essentially no cell service. Firewood uses a different lock code than the main gate. Dougan Falls is only about 5 minutes away and worth the visit, but it requires a separate parking pass. There’s also a great mercantile about 15 minutes away for ice or forgotten supplies.
Overall, this is a beautiful campsite in an incredible location. We’d absolutely stay here again!
