Welcome to Molalla Ripple! Enjoy the sound of the Molalla River rolling over the rocks. Wake up to birds chirping and tall trees swaying in the breeze. The campsites are sixty feet apart for privacy, and one path along the River Shack that leads to the river with two private beach areas to relax. NOTE, Please use the clean bathrooms provided. DO NOT USE THE WOODS or camp site as your bathroom. Thank you, let's keep things clean and safe for others to enjoy! We are forced to require our guests to pay a cleaning fee that's refundable after your stay. Please add the extra to your booking. We have tried to work with our guests to offer trash service, yet campers leave more than we can handle or clean before our next guest arrives. This is our home and property that we want to share, so let us work together to keep it clean and safe. Thank you from the Toops Family Jsm Ranch started in 2004 when we moved from Oregon City. This once was a working farm with two chicken barns and a meat locker barn. All had fallen into disrepair before taking ownership. In 2007 we planted 200 trees and 100 shrubs to build a new fish and wildlife habitat along Woodcock Creek. We then focused on building fence along the Molalla River to protect water quality. From there, we started raising Black Angus in 2008 after spending four years cleaning up the fields to make it safe for animals. We strive to be good stewards with our land as we continue to work with Clackamas Soil and Water to make better working lands. You're only minutes away from the town of Molalla to grab a bite, groceries or other camp items. Also have Molalla Rodeo just 3 minutes away on Splat Action Paintball is just five minutes away. Open all year. -March 21 – April 27, 2025 Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival Camp with us while you visit. Just twenty minutes away or thirteen miles. -July 1-4th. The Molalla train park! You won't be disappointed for a great breakfast at Tammy D's (Mulino, OR), sandwiches at Humble Pig or pizza at Bear Creek Pizza & Pub.

Welcome to our small group Riverside campsite. Craving family time and need a break? We have room to spread out and enjoy one another while camping along the Molalla River in Sites two and three. This group site is 100' away from other camp sites. But just feet from the River shack. A reservation at our group space, River Rock, allows for 15 people. Additional guests, up to a maximum of twenty, are welcomed for an added fee of $8 to cover insurance expenses for everyone's safety.  Our group area has room for ten tents and a couple of van campers or teardrop trailers. We provide picnic tables in the group area and one along the river's edge. Have a campfire in camp or the one along the river with our two fire rings. Need to do some work while camping We have you covered with our free Wi-Fi on the river. Wake up to birds chirping and trees swaying in the breeze. Stroll along two scenic paths to enjoy the sounds of the river and see hawks or perhaps a bald eagle soaring in the sky.  Check out the working farm with grass-fed cows, chickens, ducks, goats and sheep. We also have treats for the animals so little ones can enjoy our animals.  Enjoy a crackling campfire with the stars above and make lasting memories!  Need a smaller campsite, look up Molalla Ripple. Hip Camp will send out an email with all our info once you book your stay. . Our rates change with the seasons. We look forward to having you stay with us. When you book the entire campsite, you are booking the entire campground with the River Shack and its 20x20 deck. River Shack has power and food prep tables, a BBQ refrigerator. All sites 1-8 along the Molalla River with 2500' of river frontage to explore also comes with a 3 acre pasture for guests with RVs with easy in and out accesses. While on 25 acres. With the River flowing along the west side of your campsite and the working farm on your Eastside. Perfect spot to watch Sunrises and Amazing Sunsets. Each tent campsite has room for two cars with an overflow just feet away. The tent site will not accommodate big RVs. The pasture comes with its own fire ring and picnic tables. Fully fenced if pups need to run. NOTE, Please use the clean bathrooms provided. DO NOT USE THE WOODS or campsite as your bathroom room. Thank you, let's keep things clean and safe for others to enjoy! FAQ Are day campers included in the total guest count, or does it only apply to overnight guests? All campers, whether they are staying overnight or not, must be included in the reservation. Can additional guests be added after the initial booking? My family had a great time camping at the Molalla Ripple! Our site was nice and private, we had a peaceful night under the stars. The campsite is right along the river, which my dog loved, and there are farm animals there to greet you! A perfect place for a quiet getaway, I highly recommend this spot!

Great privacy! Just a short walk to the river with so much birdsong! Enjoyed watching cows be moved from one pasture to the next! The fairy lights at night were 100% magical!

This was our second time camping here, and it was even more magical this time. Waking up to the birds and the sound of the river is amazing. The amenities are also great to have, and James was so quick and helpful with any question or request we had. Will definitely stay again!

I loved the campsite it was very private, quiet, cozy, safe and convenient! The water view was so great and my family loved the hot tub with the hot water! Communication with the host, James was super quick and helpful he came down right away to help us to solve the situation. There is a shack and a sink you can wash your dishes. The dish soap and a sponge was provided! We were so impressed! The river is perfect for kids on the shallow part and to do paddle boarding or kayaking on the deep part in the same zone. Restroom was clean and the fire pit has a useful grill attached you can put kettle/pot/pan on. I will cook some corns next time! I’m so amazed I didn’t suffer from insects once during the stay. Our family really loved everything there and will come back.

Loved how close this was to home, with three kids that made it easy. We were at site eight which was a short walk to the river access. My kids loved trying out the paddle boat and throwing rocks in the river. Signage to the site was good. Our camping neighbors were all nice. I would recommend a canopy tent if you need shade the afternoon got pretty warm in the sun. Plenty of parking. The only thing I regret is not asking James about the firewood that I thought I had purchased. I couldn’t figure out where to pick that up. my fault for not asking him as I had a nice conversation with him. Will definitely be back. Also, the Porta potties were the cleanest I have ever been in.! which was also nice with three kids and it was close to our site and to the river access.

This is really a great setup. Camping spots for a tent or a van or a small (less than 23 feet or so RV) to nestle in right next to the Molalla River. Toilet facilities plus hand-washing stations. Cattle grazing just a few yards away in a famed pasture. Minimal insect (skeeters). Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring with a swing-away metal grate for cooking. There were a few VanLife spots too for those of you in to communal camping. Couple of rules you are asked to follow: 1. Don't make the woods your latrine. There are toilets provided, use them. 2. Pack your trash out. Easy peasy. James was nice, as was his old man, Ken. All this less than an hour from Portland. I'll be back.

The camping was great, spot #7 was beautiful, and basically level, dry with a picnic table and fire pit and fairly private. The portapotty was nearby and clean. The owner, Jim, was very patient and friendly. firewood bundles, potable water & ice are available on site. All sites are on the river with amazing views and lots of wildlife in the evenings, and access for fishing, but only water access is between site 3 & 4, along with a plumbed community kitchen to use. Really lovely setup. Sites #5, 7 & 8 all get direct sun for about an hour. We ended up sitting behind our tent in the road to cool off. There are no trash bins, it’s all pack it back out. There were a lot of Northern Pike Minnows, easy and fun to catch. Be sure to read your confirmation email to get your gate code too.

We had a fantastic time, the kids had an absolute blast, we always wish that we had more time when we come here. One of the biggest highlights was finding a perfect, clear spot to get right into the river for a swim—it was incredibly refreshing and kept the kids entertained for hours. The natural beauty of this campground is top-notch, but what really sets it apart is the hospitality. We want to give a big shoutout for everything he has done for us once again. His help and dedication always make our trips so seamless and memorable. We truly appreciate you!

James’ property is such a treat. He was welcoming and quick to respond when we had questions. The river view is absolutely stunning and site 8 is especially lovely as we could hear the water rippling over the rocks throughout our stay. The site was well equipped with a fire ring, grill grate, and picnic table. There were fresh bark chips on the tent area so we were not in the dirt and the porta potty was clean and equipped. Potable water was just a short walk from the site when we needed it. Our stay at Molalla Ripple was fantastic and we will surely be back.

What an amazing place to camp!! James was a great host from beginning to end. He was very quick to respond to our questions when we booked, and was very good about making sure we were comfortable in our site after we arrived. The campsites are very well maintained and a lot of care has been taken to make this area feel relaxing and safe. I can’t say enough about the whole experience! Highly recommend Molalla Ripple to anyone looking to camp here!!
