Secluded private site centrally located just a mile from Interstate 5 off of exit #11, and 6 miles from the Interstate 5 / Hwy 205 intersection so most places in Clark County are less that 20 minutes away. Located 5 minutes from the Amphitheater, 10 minutes from Ilani Casino, and less than 30 minutes from some of the nicest freshwater lakes around. This is a secluded, Park Like property with walking trails all the way around it, and some interesting things for kids to spot, especially up Fairy Lane. Walking access is permitted, but you must keep pets on leash and keep an eye on your kids. In the dry season, typically May through the end of September, fires are not allowed, and please USE EXTREME CAUTION IF YOU CHOOSE TO SMOKE ONSITE. If you are one of those who just tosses your butts in the underbrush, you will be asked to leave for the safety of our property and guests. There is no smoking allowed inside the cabin, bathroom, or anywhere near the sawmill, or any area North of it. There is a public bathroom in the middle of the property beside the tree fort. It's well lit and open 24 hours a day. It has a flush toilet and a hot water sink and a HOT shower. * PLEASE NOTE To keep from freezing, the instant hot water heater is disconnected, and hot water, and hot showers ARE NOT AVAILABLE FROM NOV 15TH TO MAR 1ST. Cold water to flush the toilets and wash your hands is available all year. Please park outside the yellow gate in the parking areas noted on the map. Please park on gravel and DON'T DRIVE OFF THE GRAVEL ROADS ONTO THE GRASS. Anita hates it, as you can cause a fire in the summer, and leave muddy ruts in the wet seasons. If you're driving through the trees, you're doing something wrong. Tucked Away Retreat evolved from empty acreage to an easy retreat from the city and an opportunity to share our love of the rural life. Located in the Chapman area of Scappoose, this area is rich in logging history; the Crown Zellerbach trail is an old logging road and now an 18 mile hiking/biking "story board" of the life and culture of both the Native American Indians that lived in the area and the evolution of logging. Just over the peak of the CZ trail (which is approximately 3 miles from our property) is an old mine, just one example of many hidden areas to explore. Our retreat is just 45 minutes from Portland, yet feels a world away. You can relax in the quiet or explore the trail, the small towns that dot Highway 30 or head to the river. If you continue West on Highway 30, you will pass through many small logging towns, the old Trojan Nuclear site and eventually land in Astoria on the coast. Learn more about this land: Tucked Away Retreat is quiet and peaceful yet 45 minutes from Portland. Located on 4 private acres, watch the deer wander through the property or the hawks float overhead. Bring your bikes and hit the Crown Zellerbach trail, or hike it instead. We are located approximately 0.8 mile from the trail. Visit Sauvie's Island, the largest inland island in the United States. Paddle or kayak on Scappoose Bay, head up to the Trojan frisbee-golf course, or just relax. We are also an easy drive from Vernonia, the Nehalem River and Big Eddy Park. The B side is on gravel on the upper drive and is shaded most of the day. This site is best suited for camper vans, truck campers or small trailers due to trees along the back curve of the driveway. Large trailers/RV's and motorhomes will fit but you may need to back in. The B side is backed by our private, small shop. It is adjacent to our tiny house, with a privacy fence separating the two areas. The site has water, power and septic hook ups. There is also WiFi, although it can be spotty inside your trailer. The property can accommodate one or two additional RV's in spots adjacent to both sites for multiple vehicle groups; contact us for more information if you are a larger group. Additional vehicles are an extra charge. Please be aware that we are RV only, we have no outhouse, so we cannot accommodate tents or folks who want to sleep in their vehicle. We will consider an exception if you have a RV/trailer and kids who want to sleep in a tent. Please reach out to us prior to booking for this exception. We do not allow "shower" tents. Also please note that there is no cell service once you leave Highway 30; you have to have WiFi calling capabilities to use your cell phone. These sites are on our private property. This is a 10 acre camp of wooded hills. This campsite currently has an rv pad for rent and a featured camp site with a hobbit house. Soon to be more tent sites. There is a firewood stand on site and bundles are only $5! The hobbit house is built back into a hillside and is underground, round doors, and arched ceiling stays true to hobbit architecture. This is a glamping opportunity. Inside the hobbit house there is a full bed for two, with a quality mattress and an adjustable bed frame that has a motor to lift body to sit up or you can raise legs. There is power inside and a small microwave for cooking. 30 feet away is a sink for cleaning and good drinking water. There is a bathroom area a short way down the hill with a flushing toilet and heated shower. Outdoors includes a fire pit, a few small springs and ponds and lots of trails to explore. Your shelter and mattress will be top notch, however this is still a campground and you need to be prepared as a camper. Currently we do not have a refrigerator, bring your own cooler. No silverware, or plates are provided. You can heat things in the microwave or cook over the fire. Bring whatever utensils are needed. Within a couple miles of our location is Lewis River Golf Course, as well as popular water spotd of Merwin Lake Park, and floating the Lewis River. We have a scavenger hunt set up on the trails of our property if you want the challenge of finding our targets as you walk the trails.

Learn more about this land: It sits upon a meadow with surrounding trees and a cow pasture in the distance. Spring time offers a small pond (please see below), but the Lewis river is close by with tons of recreational activities (swimming, fishing, hiking, wineries, etc.). There is only one site so there is a lot of privacy (there used to be two so some of the pictures show the older site right by the pond). It is a rural property with both farms AND residential homes/Airbnbs along the river and surrounding area. Town is not far (six miles) to get supplies and the Heisson convenience store is less than a mile away. It's perfect for a quick trip out of town for a day or two or just a quick and safe stop in your travels. This a beautiful property and I enjoy sharing it, please be mindful of the rules. Quiet hours start at 10 PM until 8 AM. *This winter was tough, lots of wind, so some trees fell, but they are all cleaned up and lots of small trees were planted. Can't wait until they grow to help for more privacy!!! Please, read the site description carefully! There is NO electricity or plumbing at the site but there is a composting bucket toilet with seat and lid in a private tent (so if you are a large tent group you may want to consider bringing another camp toilet as there is only one available). YOU MUST PACK OUT ALL WASTE. There is a BPA safe hose for water at the top of the hill for your use (I usually have it on but if not please feel free to message me, and if you don't want to wait for a reply please feel free to knock on my door). This site can accommodate a large group, please see the prices when reserving. (It can fit up to five RVs but keep in mind it's dry camping other than having access to potable water.) It is also perfect for just one person or a couple looking for some privacy. I LOVE Dogs and they are most welcome, and may be off leash for a run in the field, however, they MUST have high recall. Please be mindful of my own dogs and chickens down below so please do not let them go beyond your site or the field when using. *We plan on making the pond to be a swim pond that will hold water all year long (the creek that runs into it is seasonal so it dries out depending on how much rain we get in any given year).

We have one large forest glade with room for several tents. We book only one group at a time, so you are guaranteed the place to yourselves. We can accommodate up to 15 people, with a max of 5-6 vehicles (parking is tight). This is a hike-in only campground most suited to backpack style camping. The hike in has two short steep grade sections about 50 feet each. It takes 5-15 minutes depending on fitness level and load. This is not suitable for those with accessibility issues. Pack and dress for backpacking. The campground features: -Fairy lights strung among the tress to create the perfect magical ambiance -forest disk swing -Large fire ring with seating for 7-10 and cooking grate -picnic table with seating for six - Composting latrine with a forest view (commune with nature!) -Photo worthy hammock, swinging loveseat , and sunset views - A huge clearing with multiple flat tent spots (5-7) -1/2 mile of trails with hidden surprises - A parking area suitable for car camping or van camping during the rainy season. -Only 20 minutes from downtown Portland, 15 from I5, and minutes from gas and Parking is separate from the campground! It is a brief but steep 1/4 mile hike to get to the main campground and latrine. Bring hiking shoes and pack light. It takes most people 5-15 minutes to hike up, depending on fitness level and load size . If you want to car camp, you will be next to a road and separate from the latrine and fire pit. Enjoy several short trails on the camp's property before heading to Forest Park's Wildwood Trail, which is just up the street, or check out all of the incredible natural and urban nearby attractions in Portland. The camper is located between St Johns and Kenton in charming North Portland. It is safely located in the backyard of the property, and is surrounded by tall fences and shrubbery, allowing for absolute privacy. Beautiful yard with outdoor dining area and hot tub access (hot tub available starting September 2025). We are located a half a block away from the historic Columbia Park, with a long walking path through mature Doug firs, sports fields, pickleball courts and a play area/splash pad in the summer. Our 27' 1973 Airstream Overlander has been completely refurbished with lots of love and attention to detail. The outdoor space is a chill zone full of native plants, trees, flowers and an 8 ft. barrel sauna! Located in the heart of NE Portland Oregon, ART CAN is walking distance to the Alberta Arts district, Vancouver/Williams Corridor and Mississippi Ave. The interior space is open yet cozy with an extra long queen bed suitable for 1-2 person, full couch/daybed, desk area, kitchen table, ventless blue flame propane heater and music listening options (bluetooth speakers and record player with records!) We provide linen sheets and a perfume-free environment. We only use natural cleaning products and soaps with essential oils for those sensitive to perfumes. Kitchenette includes 2 burner stove, eco-sink, mini-fridge, cook/dish-ware, coffee and tea supplies, a water filter and outdoor grill. NOTE: This is a rustic space! A separate shower, bathroom sink and composting toilet are separate, but only a few steps away, right next to our 8' barrel sauna. This space is ideal for anyone looking for a quiet place to land while they explore the city and/or endless nature in the surrounding areas - Forest Park, Mt Hood, The Columbia Rive Gorge, and the coast! We are biking distance to several fabulous neighborhoods and restaurants along with tons of hiking opportunities in Forest Park, Columbia Slough trail, Mt Tabor and more. We have 2 bikes available for you to use during your stay! * * * The outside area is a secluded, minimally shared space.* The ART CAN has it's own deck with couch, table and chairs and grill. Lots of plants, trees and bird watching. We can not offer the use of the fire pit at this time due to fire hazards and smoke. *House residents do use the separate upper porch/deck attached to the main house and VERY occasionally the composting toilet and bathroom sink to wash hands.

Weekend Trip to N Foss Camper

stayed here for our second night in portland after camping the first night. it was super nice to stay in a nice big bed and the host was very responsive and nice. he gave us a puzzle and some cards to play with and was very friendly. would def stay again!

2 parking areas are available for dispersed campers on the property. You can park in either of the concrete block areas. There is a 30 amp RV plug behid the shop area . You can back into the spot begind the building, to the left. Please try not to block the other parking areas.

If you need help backing in, feel free to ask for help. Stu or Anita can get you where you want to go.

I had the most lovely stay here. The hosts are incredibly kind and generous. As a woman traveling alone it meant a lot to me to be received with open arms. The animals are so sweet and the land is stunning. This is a 10/10 hipcamp experience! And the hot tub was a surprise bonus on a cold October day. Thank you thank you 🙏

Great place to stay! Super responsive host. The space was very welcoming and private. Our dogs loved it. Lots of useful things like the propane stove, string lights, and washing station. Hike up is short, but definitely steep. We will be back!

Weekend Trip to Hobbit House Experience

We LOVED our time at the Hobbit House! Beautiful view, felt very private, and was thoughtful in design. There were two of us on the trip and we had an absolute joy of time here. Would highly recommend! Things to be mindful of (as mentioned in listing): need 4-wheel drive to get up short hill, otherwise you’ll have to carry your belongings up it. We didn’t have trouble with it, but could be difficult if you have mobility issues. Bring cash for wood! All & all, we loved our time and are hoping to come back next season:))

We were so blown away by how special Kelly’s place is. I kept our destination a surprise for my partner for his birthday and he couldn’t believe it when we arrived. The setting is so beautiful, the dome and hot-tub so private, and Kelly was easy to text if we needed anything. We will definitely be back! ❤️❤️❤️

1 night at River View Dome - Goode Time Ranch

I needed some solo time and treated myself to a night in the dome. It was sooo lovely and peaceful and I was wishing I had another night. Friendly chickens, lovely views from the hot tub, deer roaming by while reading in the hammock. The dome has everything you could need! And Kelly dropped off fresh cooked eggs in the morning :) Had some issues with the hot tub getting an error message but Kelly was very responsive and was able to fix the issue. Would recommend!

Gino's place was very cozy. Well decorated, packed with amenities and convenient. The bikes were a nice touch for shorter trips. Even though the temperature dropped at night, the heaters provided kept us warm through the night! Location was great, quiet neighborhood but close to many cafes and restaurants. We were provided with some nice recommendations as well. Would love to stay again!

This place seems great for groups, I just went solo for one night. Definitely underestimated the hike to the site but it’s doable! It was pretty steep and gravel can be slippery going down so be mindful of what you bring to avoid multiple trips. It’s secluded enough but you can still hear cars and an occasional plane at night. Loved the outhouse and the many amenities included. I would definitely come back with a group of people!

Robs property and hobbit house is a must visit on your PNW checklist. With ten acres of property to roam, a very clean bathroom facility and a cozy atmosphere what else is there you could want? The bed is beyond comfortable with adjustable features and a cozy electric fireplace to keep your warm during your stay. There was a book to leave a review but no pen so bring your own, games inside the house and even a microwave! There is optional wood to buy but we brought our own. The road to reach the hobbit house is very gravely, I’d recommend 4wd.

We had such an amazing time!!! Absolutely beautiful area, water access, porta potty’s were super clean! We got to go visit with horses and enjoy the swings and kayaks. Super close to town but also secluded enough to make you feel like you’re far out. The hosts were very kind and communicative Could not recommend this place more. We will be coming back year after year:)
