We had an amazing stay. The camp is clean, there is a clean outhouse, as well as a handwashing station that he refills for you. We also enjoyed the u-pick blueberry farm across the street, and the mules at the farm! We enjoyed the campfire, and we got to use the propane grill for dinner. Overall I would recommend, and I would absolutely be back!

Very cool spot. Private and spacious. Really awesome hosts. We camped here and shuttled back and forth to a weekend soccer tournament. Very nice to find this level of seclusion and still be “close in”.
Some perks… lots of coyotes, birds, and beavers!

We had a group of friends here to celebrate a birthday and enjoyed our time. Not too many bugs and we appreciated the clean toilet and handwashing station. I would recommend for a quick camping spot that’s not too far from the city.

I'm hesitant to express just how incredible this camp experience was. If I do, it might be fully booked the next time I want to return! ;) However, I understand how challenging it can be for families to discover great camping locations. Jeff was incredibly kind; he personally guided us to our site and ensured we were all set up. We had a private area just for ourselves, and my dogs absolutely loved rolling around and soaking up the sun. They were on leashes the whole trip, so having the chance to hang out with us off-leash was fantastic. We did get a little spooked once in the middle of the night when we spotted some eyes. I’m pretty sure it was just a bunny, though! 😂 Regardless, you won't find a better camping spot or host in the area. I hope Jeff keeps this affordable, as we have soccer tournaments coming up. Thanks again, Jeff!

The Grove is a fantastic hideaway just minutes from stores and 26. It was easy to get to and offered plenty of space for the dogs and kids to play. I hope to come back soon

This was a beautiful, quiet, private spot and we loved our stay here! Jeff was exceptionally accommodating and the toilet was spotlessly clean. We could hear wildlife of all sorts at night and felt quite private and comfortable. The gas grill was an excellent amenity - we didn’t have to worry about bringing or cleaning up any of our usual cookware. All in all a fantastic experience!

I can easily say that this stunning site is now tied for 1st as my favorite camp of the summer (I've been to 22 camps this year). Jeff is the perfect host, accessable & attentive - without being disruptive.
I felt like I was low-key glamping. The portapotty was spotless & he has running water for a hand washing station right next to it. Jeff additionally has some tinder, a first aid kit, paper towels etc. There is also a gas grill, trash cans, a picknik table & fire pit.
The site is, and I cannot stress this enough, huge - and private. There is a lovely little creek that runs around 3/4ths of the camp complete with beavers! The breeze sifting thru the towering trees, birdsong by day, owls by night, it's a perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. I was lucky to have it all to myself for several days but it is enough space that it could support a fairly large group camp. There is a lovely little blueberry farm directly across the street with a little farm stand It is also very close to Hillsboro proper for easy shopping.
The only other thing I want to mention is something that does not bother me or mydog at all because we're familiar with it - there is a trap & skeet shooting range within a few miles on the site so there are times you can hear the shots as they fire. If you have a human or pet that may be reactive to that sound it may not be the site for you.
I really enjoyed my time at this unexpected gem of a site.
