'Royal Heart Hill' is at the very end of a Dead-End road, which means no sound or light pollution from passing cars or nearby residences. Surrounded by BLM and Timber properties, while being 6 miles from downtown CG (7 miles from the I5) and 30 miles from downtown Eugene.
All guests have access to the outdoor shower, which is connected to the Dome. Please use biodegradable soap in the shower! Potable water spigots are located by the carport and at the top of the steps leading down to our platform site. Each site has its own composting toilet, fire-pit, electrical outlet and hammock.
Nearby access to: two lakes for swimming and fishing, waterfalls and cliff-jumping, hiking and biking trails, dining, wineries, breweries, shopping and more. I am happy to offer suggestions and share what I know- please ask!
UPDATE: The timber acreage that borders our property- to the west and north of Overholser Road- was harvested winter 2024.
The property consists of Oak savanna, mixed conifer woodland, camas meadow, undulating hills and a SMALL pond (home to many rough-skinned newts- no swimming or fishing). At our domestead we practice permaculture, native habitat restoration and regenerative forestry.
Poison oak is present on the property! I have done my best to clear it from camping areas and trails. Tecnu is provided in the outdoor shower.
There is a mile long loop that goes around the whole property, which we keep mowed and accessible. Hipcampers are encouraged to use the loop to explore the property. To access- walk south/downhill toward the pond signs and follow the mowed path through the meadow and back up toward the road, which will take you back to your campsite. I have included a screenshot of the loop as recorded by my Strava app, which is in the property photos.
The property hosts a geodesic play-dome and slack-line (during the dry months) up by the green dome/outdoor shower. Guests may play on these at their own risk- the closest hospital is 7 miles away.

Have farm fresh eggs 🥚 available for purchase and if you don’t want to scavenge wood for a fire I sell bundles of dry split 🪵.

Mosswood is on 5 acres of mostly forested land, there's usually a project going (or three).
We've recently finished building a barn workshop, a covered timber frame deck in the meadow, and a very unique woven tree net that you'll be sure to enjoy!
No dogs living here, just one friendly cat, otherwise it's squirrels, birds, and the occasional wild turkey procession or coyote.
There is a large garden, and when growing season is on, we may send you packing with some fresh greens or veggies! If you see us out and about, feel free to come say hello or ask questions.

Veneta/Elmira are charming small rural towns with all the basics less than 10 min drive: Grocery Outlet, Bi-mart, Ace hardware, Auto parts, some decent restaurants. Eugene is 25 min, and the beautiful Oregon coast is 45 min drive if you want to smell the ocean air and visit Florence.

Not only is our property peaceful and beautiful, but we are also just 10 minutes from Finley Wildlife Refuge, where you can see white swans, Canadian geese, and a wide range of waterfowl. Alsea Falls, with its hiking trails, old-growth trees, and two magical waterfalls, is only 30 minutes away.
You can reach the coast within an hour. A few miles from the property, you’ll find a charming country store for all your needs. We’re also conveniently located for visits to Corvallis or Eugene — both within a 30-minute drive. We provide porta-potties, potable water, and a serene environment for your stay.
Don’t have a tent or camping equipment? No problem! We offer tents and all the gear you need for a great camping trip. Ask us about our camping kits — we can even set them up for you.
Things to consider before booking: we are on a secluded property with a variety of wildlife, including bears, cougars, bobcats, elk, deer, turkeys, snakes, hornets, yellow jackets, and more. We are actively working to remove poison oak, but it will be an ongoing effort.

Enjoy the calm, quiet serenity of the South Santiam River. Get back to the basics here and just relax and enjoy nature. We have a small cabin with a bunk bed, and a camping toilet is provided. Bring your tent or camper for extra room.
Our campsite is nestled among the trees next to the river. There's lots to enjoy. Do you like hiking? Silver Falls State Park is only 36 miles away. Boating? You can put in your kayak/canoe at Gills Landing in Lebanon and float down the river back to the campsite. Fishing? Bring your fishing pole and try catch and release in our pond. Swimming? Take a swim in the cool water. Of course, you can just relax by the water's edge and enjoy the tranquility provided by the soothing flow of the river.
This 192 sq. ft. cabin is very basic. There is no shower, but there is a portable toilet with a wash station located outside. We do provide a full 5-gallon water cooler for drinking since there is no running water. For cooking there is a 24" Blackstone 2-burner griddle, and small propane cans are provided. Also, the cabin is furnished with a small supply of pots and pans. There is a battery that provides lighting, and phone charging is available in the cabin. During the cooler months, there is a small wood stove for heating, and firewood is provided. The cabin sleeps 2, but there is room for a camper and/or tents. This campsite is meant to be very simple, so you should plan on bringing whatever you may need/want for camping.

One mile from I-5, you may pitch your tent or park your van in a meadow near some fir trees bordering Elk Creek. Feel the restful flow of water bringing tranquility. Follow hiking trails along the creek, through groves of trees, or play in the singing creek. There is another hiking trail to another portion of the creek to the right of the road that passes by the barn. A sign on an oak tree indicates the edge of the large mowed meadow that will take you to another sign for the trail to the creek.
When entering the property at the county road, you’ll see a big Century Farm sign on the left at the driveway entrance.
Continue past a brown machine shed. You will see two apple trees on your left. Just beyond the apple trees is a sign, on a big fir tree. This sign points to the direction of the campsite. Shaped like an arrow it points to the mowed path down to the creek and campsite which you may drive.
Uphill from the campsite is a trail going through a small copse of trees that leads up to the red barn. On the left, at the entrance to the barn, is a bathroom complete with sink and shower. Towels are not provided.
Beneath the apple trees is a faucet with potable drink safety hose and a bucket for your use.

Welcome to Squared Roots Farm, a Garlic Farm and homestead in Alsea, Oregon. We specialize in gourmet hardneck garlic and sustainable farming practices. (IG @squaredrootsfarm)
On our farm we grow veggies and flowers. We raise Nigerian dwarf goats, chickens, and honey bees.
You will be staying in a 16ft Pacific yurt built on raised deck that has a covered deck for shade and rainy days. There is plenty of space for additional tents and RV campers to join! There is a fire pit, picnic table, full propane grill and composting toilet. There is also a wonderful warm wood stove for staying cozy! You can swim in the creek right next to the site or walk over to the North Fork of the Alsea River where there is 1/2 mile of river access and great winter steelhead fishing too.
Close to the farm is world class mountain biking, hiking, fishing, waterfalls, great views, and surfing on the Oregon coast. The camp spot is a very private grassy nook nestled next to Honey Grove Creek.
There are nature trails on the property with blackberry bushes. We offer farm fresh eggs, firewood bundles, and as the garden begins to ramp up- we will offer all the veggies to campers including goat cheese! We can do cash or Venmo payments.

Our family "Riverhouse" is one of my favorite places in the world. We use it to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday professional life. The town of Harrisburg is such a cool, easy-going, quaint place to spend some time. Accessibility is one of its' key assets. Harrisburg has a few family owned places to eat at, and a few shops to explore. It's a one light town, but that is why we love it here. The river is my favorite part. I sit for hours on end, watching the water flow by. Fishing, rafting/floating, and wading in the water are all fun things to do here. If you are looking for something just to get off the highway for the night, or for a longer stay, this is a great quiet place to be. Conveniently located off of historic 99 hwy., our property is one of only 12 properties located right on the Willamette River in Harrisburg Oregon. Our vacation home "Riverhouse" has a dedicated RV pad with full electric/sewer/water and WIFI hook-ups that can accommodate up to a 50ft. RV. Enjoy our amazing views of the Willamette river on our 500 sqft. custom Japanese Cedar deck located right on the water. Take a 2 minute walk to downtown Harrisburg and enjoy the local eateries and shops. Float or fish the Willamette River! The best part will be relaxing afterwards, enjoying the postcard sunsets. Also, our location is conveniently located halfway between Eugene and Corvallis for sport venues for the University of Oregon and Oregon State. This property is a true gem. Hungry? Then check out "Junkyard Extreme Burgers and Brats", home of the best hamburger in the U.S.A according to Guy Fieri from "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" which is less than two miles down the road. an 8 acre tree farm
located near Lebanon, Oregon. We purchased this property in 2019.
This is a tree farm with 1000+ planted Christmas trees.
We put in campsites, a cabin, a barn loft, and a fire pit. We offer these to guests when not being used by our family and friends.
Wildlife includes deer, turkey, and quail & 3 active beehives.
Guests are welcome to
fresh eggs from the chicken coop.
We are fully fenced and gated for your family and pets protection.
South Santiam River is less than 1 mile for fishing, kayaking, or rafting.
Foster reservoir is 30 minutes away and Green Peter Reservoir
is 45 minutes away for boating, swimming, and fishing.
There is a loop exercise trail that circles the property and offers 30-degree climbs. You can also play games inside or basketball outside.
We thought it would be great to have family gatherings and get togethers here and think
of this as our slice of heaven, and hope others enjoy it as well.

Private 50 acres on the river and you can fish or swim along our .7 miles of riverfront on the Umpqua River. Multiple fishing access, drift boat ramp, canoe launch and fishing heaven with salmon, sturgeon, striped bass, steelhead, shad, and smallmouth bass.
Bring you dogs, kayaks, or drift boat. Pontoon floats available for rent. 2 acres are mowed for camper enjoyment. There is a 30 Amp RV hookup, 2 110v outlets, and water at two sites in the area!

5 Acers of woods, 1 Acer of field/grassland, and one are on the hill with gravel for up RV's.
Property is only 0.35 miles from Calapooia river access (local secret spot). 1 mile to McKercher Park and additional river access. General store 0.75 miles away. Next to the historic Crawfordsville Covered Bridge. 8 miles from Brownsville, this town has been featured in multiple movies. 13.8 miles from Foster lake.
At the bottom of the property there is a tree house, fire pit, and large grass field that could accommodate 20+ tents. Upper area is a rock parking area with RV hook ups. gas firepit, gas BBQ, and picknic table. I only rent to one group at a time. Rarely camping there when campers are there but father is on site (the grey house) to assist if needed.

Beautiful sunset views and shaded grass area below to use. Our kids loved the treehouse and zip line! We also saw a ton of wildlife (deer, ospreys, lizards, and horses on the shared fence line). The creek area was a close drive with easy parking and steps down to the river. Hosts were there on arrival and very friendly!

So quiet. Beautiful meadow next to camping spot. Close enough to Eugene to see our daughter-in-law for dinner twice. Lots of space to walk on trail nearby and cute bridge and waterfall near the driveway entrance. Hosts were available if you needed them, but respect privacy also. Recommend...

Great camping experience. James' trailer pad and hookups were perfect. The campground felt amazingly private and quiet. James was welcoming and helpful. The property had a beautiful hiking trail. We used this to stay close to the Covered Bridge Regatta, and it worked great, being just 15 minutes from the lake.

Such a great spot, when I read the other reviews saying you just need to pack food and clothes they weren’t kidding. Literally everything else is there (bedding, pillows, French press, blackstone, pots and pans, paper towel, dishes, cutting boards, silverware). I brought a jet boil for hot water to make coffee in the morning but otherwise didn’t need anything else I brought.
My dogs loved being able to roam free with us, my little dogs are impossible to camp with at regular campgrounds because they bark at everyone. They loved this spot!
The water was high and fast in April so I didn’t paddle board but I did put my toes in the water and look for cool rocks. Such an amazing spot.

I had a nice and relaxing time staying here. I really enjoyed being immersed in the forest while still having a lot of amenities available. Having WiFi was a big plus and helped me feel a bit more safe as a solo traveler. My dog and I loved roaming around the property and checking out the trails/future campsites. You can tell a lot of love and hard work has been put into this land. I appreciate the thought put into everything (hygiene supplies in the restroom, leaving out dog treats/a bowl, snacks, the tea/nespresso pods, even creamer and water in the fridge). I am very pleased with my stay and will definitely be back/recommend this site to friends/family. Thank you for everything! 😁

Absolutely loved this spot and will 💯 be back. The views are incredible and the privacy is unmatched—felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Tons of wildlife (we saw several deer and wild turkeys!), and the property is fun to explore, including a peaceful pond nearby. Perfect place to unplug and relax by the massive fire pit!

We took our airstream out for the first time to test it all out with our dogs. The property was peaceful and private and the trails off the property were great to explore.

Weekend Trip to Shelter at Castle Rock Farm🏕️🚐
Nice secluded spot. When you lay down at night you can hear the peaceful sound of the creek in the distance. The amenities are very nice and convenient. You still get the feel of a primitive campsite by sleeping in a tent, cooking with propane stoves, cleaning dishes in a wash basin, and using an outhouse. But staying with Richard you don’t have to pack, haul, set up, and tear down all that stuff. This allowed me to really enjoy being out in nature and making a fun camp meal without as much headache.
