Learn more about this land: One mile from I-5, you may pitch your tent or park your van in a meadow near some fir trees bordering Elk Creek. Feel the restful flow of water bringing tranquility.  Follow hiking trails along the creek, through groves of trees, or play in the singing creek. There is another hiking trail to another portion of the creek to the right of the road that passes by the barn. A sign on an oak tree indicates the edge of the large mowed meadow that will take you to another sign for the trail to the creek. When entering the property at the county road, you’ll see a big Century Farm sign on the left at the driveway entrance. Continue past a brown machine shed. You will see two apple trees on your left. Just beyond the apple trees is a sign, on a big fir tree. This sign points to the direction of the campsite. Shaped like an arrow it points to the mowed path down to the creek and campsite which you may drive. Uphill from the campsite is a trail going through a small copse of trees that leads up to the red barn. On the left, at the entrance to the barn, is a bathroom complete with sink and shower. Towels are not provided. Beneath the apple trees is a faucet with potable drink safety hose and a bucket for your use.One mile from I-5, you may use pitch your own tent beneath some fir trees at the edge of a small meadow bordering Elk Creek or sleep in your van. There are nearby neighbors who have dogs and cats which may get in trouble. There are cattle across the county road and should a dog get loose, it could chase and harm cattle. Dogs must be under some type of control, or carefully watched.

Spigot. A full bathroom is at the barn above the creek campsite. Also spring water is available at a spigot near the garden also above the creek campsite. Always good to bring own drinking water for ultimate safety.

Beautiful secluded spot not far from I5. It was nice and quiet with a single campsite near the creek. We definitely appreciated the full bathroom in the nearby barn. Perfect overnight stop on our way to Seattle.

Stunning property and gracious host. Would love to spend more time there. We brought a 22ft Airstream and we were anxious about being able to turn it around in the spot but it worked out fine.

Lovely little secluded spot with creek access and a very nice bathroom. It was easy to get to, easy to park, within cell service, and our reactive dog was able to relax without a lot of other campers around. We also took the opportunity to learn about the land and the Applegate ancestors while we were there - it's an important part of Oregon and Kalapuya history!

Dog owners beware!

First evening, we were visited by Susan on her 4-wheeler after we were already in bed. She confused us with the people in her Airbnb at the barn on the hill, saying she fixed the water I complained about. I had to tell her my name repeatedly, and she said she didn't know who I was. Eventually, she found that I had messaged her we were here, and she responded that if you need anything, reach out. Day 2, around 11:00, she comes into our camp. I don't have my dogs tied up (that's why we do Hipcamp to avoid this with traditional campgrounds). My dogs spotted her walking down the hill and ran towards her, barking. My puppy (a 3-month-old Australian Shepherd was jumping on her, excited to see someone, and Susan kicked her in the face and said, “Get off me!” I put my 3 Aussies in the trailer. She said that she was traumatized by her neighbor's dog that attacked her dog around June. She asked if we were leaving today. I told her no, as we have rented two nights and will go tomorrow. Again, she was confused about who we were and how long we had been here. I was ready to pack up and leave, as I was so upset she would think my puppy would attack her. My husband insisted we stay and enjoy the day. I will never stay here again! The Airbnb, is above your site and its not private. This is the worst experience I've ever had renting from someone. If you're traumatized by dogs simply state dogs not allowed. Plus told us not to use the water as she needs it to rain. Again don't offer a shower!

Susan's spot is a great spot to stay! Especially for the price!! I camped here with my adventure cat Cleo. The entire campground has a shade which is wonderful during the heat of the day. There was level ground for me to park my SUV (I car camping), and she also provides a really cute green picnic bench! Having a full shower was such a luxury, and basically having the creek to myself was so nice and waking up to the sound of the creek was so relaxing and peaceful. Surprisingly enough I didn't have any problems with bugs even though I was right by the creek and it's summer! If you look up the history of the farm it's really cool to know that you're staying on a place that has been in her family winde the 1800s! Susan was prompt in her responses and I appreciates her hospitality! I would definitely recommend staying here and will probably come back myself!

We had a lot of fun camping on the Applegate farm with Susan. The campsite was nice, it was nestled among some trees above the creek. Our little guy enjoyed the water of farm equipment and wildlife. I think our favorite part might have been sitting under the billion stars that were out for us to see!! Thank you for having us, sorry our trip was cut short. We will definitely come back!!

Fabulous camp spot and awesome host! We meet our adult children every year for a camping trip and Applegate Century Farm was perfect, we had the creek to play in, there was plenty of shade all day, it was clean, beautiful, and private and the bathroom/hot shower was a wonderful addition. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful property and loved the trails for guests to wander. My partner is a birder and they had an incredible time seeing new birds they hadn’t seen before. My dog got along great with the property pup too for added bonus!

Susan is wonderful and hard working. Site was tucked by creek yet still easy to get down to with our truck camper. A bit of a walk to get to bathroom in the barn, but happy to find a flush toilet and shower. Very magical spot

Private spot for a weekend getaway

The camp spot at Applegate Century Farm is lovely. It’s a private spot set in a grove of trees right by a creek. You park your car close by in a mowed field, which was great for set up/tear down and to store our food for the weekend. There is a bathroom with shower a short walk up a hill. It was very relaxing to listen to the burbling creek and birdsong, though the sounds of I-5 could be faintly heard on occasion. The landscape was stunning - oak Savannah in the foothills - and it was fun to explore some trails along the creek. Definitely recommend.

Incredible campsite! Secluded, quiet, and magical! Will definitely come back. We usually don't take our dogs to public campsites as they are a bit noise reactive but we brought them here and it was a success. The doggies were able to chill, explore, and even swim! The creek is really beautiful as well! Also, the farm was peaceful, great to walk around and the sunset was incredible!

Susan is an outstanding human and host! The campsite was very well thought out and positioned to allow for maximum privacy on this beautiful working farm. The site allows for shade at all times of day in different areas with ample tree cover. Nearby access to the creek also kept temperatures moderate even during high 80s in June. Having access to a private bathroom for our extended camping stay was a wonderful bonus too.

This site is one of the prettiest hipcamps I've ever stayed at. The site itself is situated in a small grove of trees right by a gentle creek. We loved hearing the water flow at night and enjoyed walking around and in the stream in the morning. The bathroom was a clean, full bath with a shower in a barn two minute walk away. The site had a good amount of privacy, and was away from any major roadways (But still a three minute drive from I-5)! Susan was super kind and helpful, and very flexible and understanding when we showed up late. I've stayed at quite a few hipcamps and this is easily in my top 3. I would totally recommend this site, especially for anyone with kids or a dog that loves water!

We had such a lovely weekend! This space is quiet and cozy, with a grass field next to a cozy space under the trees. It was so wonderful waking up to the sounds of the creek. Highly recommend!

This is a really wonderful spot. Easy access off I 5. Peaceful and private with a beautiful little creek next to the campsite. Offers sunny areas and shade. The bathroom/shower is great. The host is fantastic, super friendly and helpful. If you're lucky, you'll get to meet Ellie, the sweetest dog girl in the world.

Perfect serene stopover spot on a roadtrip! Private campsite by a creek PLUS a private full bathroom (electricity and plumbing!) up a little path. So cute! I will stop here every chance I get. Wonderful night’s sleep. Safe and quiet while only minutes from I-5. Unbelievably great find.

What a beautiful campsite! Located on 120 acres of beautiful land, you can drive right up to the campsite and park just a few feet from a lot wonderful little creek. Full shower and bathroom is located just 100 yards or so up the hill in a barn on the property. Remote, quiet, and one of the most picturesque sites I’ve seen through HipCamp. 10/10 will be back, and would recommend to anyone either driving through or wanting to stay for a few days. On top of all that, Susan and her dog Ellie were wonderfully kind and showed us around the property. She was responsive to texts/messages, and gave off a very genuine and kind energy. I couldn’t recommend this site highly enough.
