Moon Shadow Meadows is currently in the permitting process to become an official event space. As a working farm, we currently sell Eggs, Herbs, Vegetables and Flowers. We are preparing to host agritourism events, class reunions, weddings and farm to table events. Our secluded 40-acre hilltop retreat is located at 2,200 feet in the Cascade foothills near Westfir and Oakridge, Oregon. Accessed via a scenic two-mile gravel road, the property offers panoramic views of Diamond Peak and Devil’s Backbone. On-site, guests can enjoy a one-mile trail for hiking and biking, with easy access to world-class mountain biking, the Willamette River, and local hot springs. Please note that we embrace a genuine wilderness experience; we offer limited cell service and no on-site Wi-Fi to encourage guests to disconnect. Our Skoolie Bus at the entrance provides maps, a lending library, and first-aid supplies. Well-behaved pets are welcome, and we kindly remind visitors that uphill traffic has the right of way on Steep Gravel Driveway. Site #33 has a beautiful little Oak Tree with a fantastic Sunset Views. You can pull through with a trailer but not a big one and it may be a little bumpy. Great for vans. This site has water, hanging chair, picnic table, shade, and allows fires with a Propane Fire Ring. Site is approximately--42'x70'

This site is the most rugged, private and has the best views on the property.. Views include Buckhead, Tire Mt. ,Alpine meadow and the canyon.. This site is not suggested for small children as it is on the edge of the canyon. 4wd required although we have driven a Prius down there when it's dry so it's not that bad but can get very slippery when wet. I can drive my 2500 Sprinter down with no issues 2wd when dry, Site is approximately 50'x70' No Trailers because turning around in this spot with a trailer would be more than a challenge. No water or power.. some cell service. water is accessible near site #33. Bathrooms are near Sites #33,and 3. Our Mt. Bike Trail runs along side this site and has great access to The Enchanted Forest section of trail.. Tents aren't recommended as it can get a little windy. The Views are amazing and star gazing is breathtaking, The Milky way is seen often... Very private site. Let us know what you think.. Jason

#5 is in our round about area. ** This is one of the best spots for All Terrain Trailer or Larger than a van type vehicle. Site is Approximately 40'x70'** With great views both East and West.. This site also comes with a Propane fire top Picnic Table. Sites #3,4,5 and #32 are great for people that want to be near one another but also want to have their own Site. Ideally back in with your Van. All Terrain Trailers OK- Van and cars under 25ft The Campsite is approx.--'40x70' and has room for two separate pull in spots. -We do have water to this site but no power. Please come prepared to be fully self-contained. We ask if you run a generator, be kind to your neighbors and our quiet time of 9pm-7am.

#3 is the first site in our round about area. With great views both East and West.. and with a very interesting Rock Formation.. one pointed rock with the heading of South Pointing directly at Diamond peak.. *Blocked by some trees..* --Gathering Sites #3,4,5 and 33 are great for people that want to be near one another but also want to have their own Site. Ideally back in with your Rig. Trailers are ok if you're good at backing up - Van and cars under 25ft are ideal. The Campsite is approx.--30'x50' -We do have water to the site but no power. Please come prepared to be fully self-contained. We ask if you run a generator, be kind to your neighbors and our quiet time of 9pm-7am.. This site is one of the closest to the Bathrooms. Propane Fire Ring Ok.. But please use caution

Set in the Oak Savana of Moon Shadow Meadows with a view of Diamond peak. #319 is a great group site.. With views of Diamond peak and potentially a head of Elk. Up to 4 Vehicles and 10 people.. Ideally back in. --60'x90' We have a mile long Mt. bike trail with 200' of vertical gain and loss great for hiking and biking. Moon Shadow Meadows is within a couple miles of The Historic Westfir Covered bridge. We now have water to this site

Must book in advance.. Private Event Camping is the whole campground of 7+ sites . Includes use of our 1 mile Mt. bike trail loop, water at most sites and two forest sinks with running water and 2 bucks bathrooms. Enjoy the serenity of your private event among the oak savannahs and the prairie grasslands. If your group needs anything (See The Extras store while booking your stay). Property already has an assortment of hammocks, chairs and picnic tables and benches. School bus that is an office is available with rental as well. Incredibly beautiful views and serene surroundings. The campsites are so peaceful and relaxing. Super nice they have running water at the sites. Would stay again! The 2 mile gravel driveway is challenging to get up in a sedan, but possible.

Oakridge MTB Basecamp | Hidden Gem

We absolutely loved our stay over Memorial weekend at Moon Shadow Camp! This was the perfect basecamp for our mountain biking trip to the Oakridge area, which was exactly why we chose it. The location is fantastic—close enough to the trails but far enough away to feel like a true escape. The site itself is oversized and easily accommodated our truck camper with tons of extra space for friends to join us. We especially appreciated how dog-friendly it is (our pup had a great time too). The host was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. We even got to buy fresh farm eggs on-site, which was a nice bonus! The amenities are simple but thoughtful: fresh water, toilet, comfortable hammocks, a great fire pit stocked with free firewood, and gorgeous sunsets. The short drive up to the camp is totally worth it—the road takes you through peaceful woods filled with cows and wildlife which opens into a beautiful alpine meadow. Once you’re there, the quiet and serenity are unmatched. We left (after extending a night) feeling refreshed and would 100% recommend Moon Shadow Camp to anyone looking for a peaceful, spacious, and welcoming spot near Oakridge. Perfect for bikers, nature lovers, or anyone who just wants to unplug. We’ll definitely be back!

Great spot! We spent just 1 night here before a biking trip out of Oakridge. Super sweet spot, beautiful views and very quiet. Host was super helpful and responsive to my questions. Would/will stay again and highly recommend. Thanks for an easy and lovely stay.

What a gem. The views and peaceful surroundings made it a trip to remember. You feel so far removed but are still close to town and amenities. Jason was accommodating when plans changed and we needed to adjust our dates. Highly recommend!!

This place is incredible! I booked very last minute, and I showed up after dark, which I would not recommend. That said, they had a fire going for me and the wife even ran out to help me find the campsite. This was a last minute, emotional solo trip for me and it's exactly what I needed. This place is beautiful. They have solar lights everywhere, a porta potty, a hand washing sink, and the views are beautiful. They have put thought into everything. I can't wait for the site that's along the ridge to be ready & open, but I would stay in the one that I was at again in a heartbeat. Thank you for all of your hospitality and for sharing your beautiful land with me! This was just a quick stop over solo trip for me, but I will be back with my little boys to enjoy this beauty!

#33 One Tree Hill w/Sunset views

The campsites werevvery private and tucked deep into the property. There was a cluster of them with a great view and some trails surrounding it. I stayed at one tree hill #33 and it was perfect for me and my standard doodle. There was an open grass area in fron of us to play fetch, and plenty of shade on our campsite. I was able to get the the site with 2wd. The host was responsive enough, but didnt see them. There was an extremely clean porta potty, and also a kitchen sink right outside of it! There was firewood for sale, they also had eggs and herbs available. I would love to stay here again

This spot is truly a gem. Pictures don't do it justice - the expansive views, quiet evenings, loads of mini critters (butterflies, happy bees, even some lizards...??). We came here to escape any and all 4th of July firework noise for our puppers and even though Oakridge boasted a big celebration, we didn't hear any of it. Thank you, Jason, for curating such a wonderful experience. I'm very excited to plant my new sunflower, too.

We really enjoyed our time on this beautiful and remote piece of land. Each campsite had access to potable water and a clean outhouse, which made things super convenient. The sites are fairly open and close together, so we could hear our neighbors’ conversations—but that actually turned into a positive, as we ended up meeting and making friends with them! The property itself is peaceful and scenic, perfect for getting away. We’d definitely stay here again.

It is so sad to see that the town will be not allowing people to camp here anymore. If it ever is available again, it is the absolute best! Highly recommend if you can get there before they have to stop using him camp.

The best place I've ever car camped, hands down. The view from #42 is second to none. Our host Jason left flowers and farm fresh eggs as a welcome. He also provides maps and listing to swimming spots and hiking trails. Just a 10 minute drive and we had the river to our selves. All the spots we walked through were pretty with toilets and hand washing stations, hammocks at each site and 400 acres of fields forests and mountains. I don't want to say to much so I can always stay here and keep to ourselves but it must be experienced by all.

Amazing property. Very secluded, beautiful views, and campsites were private. We saw a lot of wildlife and our 3 year old loved the old school bus parked on the property. One of our favorite places we’ve camped!

This is a special, special spot. Open meadows, mountains in close proximity and soo peaceful. The climb up the access road definitely favors smaller RVs and vans but that same climb is what offers the views up top. Jason just opened for the season and with the addition of a new tractor he put to use, sites were freshly leveled and groomed. Book it and you will be happy~

We stayed at site #42 (the sum of the universe). Wow what a cool location, you’re right across from Alpine mtn. You also have a great view of Paterson mtn, home of Lawer, Hardesty, & Eula trail. We purchased fresh eggs and heirloom salsa from Jason, that was awesome. It is a bit of a trek to go up and down the mtn road, but it’s worth it.

One of the best Hipcamps we’ve ever stayed at! Had a family emergency and had to reschedule last-minute, and they were very kind and accommodating. The sites are well taken care of and the considerations for campers (motion sensing light in the extremely clean port-a-potty!) showed that the hosts really care about the experience. We got there after dark, but our sunrise coffee views were 10/10. We will definitely be back!
