Cozy Hillside Yurt with Sunset Views Near Portland Hi there! We're pretty new to HipCamp but not to this property. We're beyond thrilled to finally open up and share this special place with you! We're perched on a serene hillside in the lush Pacific Northwest, this cozy yurt offers the perfect blend of rustic retreat and modern-day adventure. We’re so happy to share our peaceful 1.5-acre hillside retreat with thoughtful, nature-loving glampers. Looking to unplug, reconnect with the land, and enjoy a unique Pacific Northwest escape, or maybe just a getaway from the city but only 20 minutes from downtown? Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, solo forest recharge, or your first glamping adventure—this truly is the place for you. Nestled into a forested slope, our cozy yurt offers beautiful sunset views, solitude, and the calming presence of towering evergreens. Just steps away is our ¼-acre working herb farm (guided plant I.D. tours are available upon request for a small fee), where we cultivate a variety of medicinal plants using organic and sustainable practices. We also offer optional guided walks through the herb farm and surrounding forest for those interested in plant identification, wildcrafting, or the foundations of herbalism. You’ll feel worlds away, but we’re just 20 minutes from downtown Portland, where you can explore award-winning restaurants, breweries, music, and art. We’re also 10 minutes from Sauvie Island—perfect for berry picking, farm stands, swimming, and riverside strolls—and only a few minutes' drive to Forest Park, with miles of hiking trails winding through one of the country’s largest urban forests. You’ll have the yurt and surrounding space all to yourself. It’s a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path hideaway ideal for those seeking rest, reflection, and a deeper connection with the land. Please take note to the dropping temperatures of autumn - be prepared for cooler nights and dress appropriately, the yurt is not heated. We can't wait to share this incredible place with you! See you soon. *All additional options ( herbal farm tour, and morning coffee) are available upon request.Inside the Yurt: Your Peaceful Forest Retreat This incredible glamping retreat is tucked into a quiet corner of the hillside beneath a canopy of Pacific Northwest trees, your stay will be in a cozy, thoughtfully furnished yurt designed to help you unplug and unwind. Your site sits alone on a 1/2 acre of forest sanctuary and grassy field, a beautiful place to enjoy in the day or to watch the stars at night. Come for a breathe of fresh air to unwind, restore, and relax. The yurt features a comfortable full-size bed with crisp clean sheets and bedding, a cozy arm chair and side table for curly up with a book or watching the sunset, along with a dining table and 2 chairs for writing, journaling, or enjoying a quiet cup of tea in the cozy side chair. A cot is available for a third guest upon request (please message me if you’re traveling with other small children, as additional cots may be available). There is no electricity, but a small battery pack powers soft indoor lights and can charge your phone/laptop—perfect for a quiet night of reading or stargazing without screen time. Outside, you’ll find a basic sink and hose with cold water for minimal dishes. We offer drinking water and a hot water kettle available at all times for tea, ramen, and other basic needs (making it cooking free and easy!). Please note: water at the dish washing station and in the bathroom is non-potable, we offer drinking water and a hot kettle in a separate space, just outside the bathroom area. *For your comfort and ease we offer morning snack, hot water, and tea complementary and offered all day long. Hot coffee delivered to your yurt in the morning at 8am for a small fee - available to purchase upon arrival, if needed.* The bathroom is a small walk to a rustic setup with cold, non-potable water for hand washing only. Do not pour food or drinks down the bathroom sink—simple signage at each station helps guide proper use and water disposal. ***All additional options (herbal plant/farm tour, and morning coffee) are available upon request after you're arrival inside your guide book within the yurt.
