Our unique location is close to Bend city limits and right next to Horse Ridge Mountain Biking Trails. BLM land surrounds the area, and is even accessible from the upper part of our property. Come out and enjoy the high desert and explore the juniper forest.
We have tent camping sites and one tipi.
We are currently in the process of still building out our glamping pods. However in the mean time you can currently book a stay at those sites for tent camping.
The tent sites offer a comfortable setting for your tent in the sandy dirt.
Each site includes a large picnic table and a fire pit.

We have a small community area, there you will find a small outdoor kitchen with a large blackstone, small bbq and little cooking/eating utensils.

Next to the community area is where you will also find the bathroom, which is a clean porta potty.
Come enjoy wandering the juniper forest and sage brush in Central Oregon’s high desert. We are next to 100’s of acres of BLM land, including the Horse Ridge Mountain Biking Trail System. There is hiking, biking, horse trails and ATV trails all nearby. Our open skies are great for daydreaming and stargazing. Come see how bright the milky way is out here Sage Ridge.

TOM'S REST was created by Tom's wife Cheryl in an effort to carry out their plans to provide respite for those in need. Tom Edwards worked tirelessly for years to clear this wild recreation space where he planned to live while helping others. Tom suddenly and unexpectedly passed February 2, 2015 while in the process of making his move to Sisters with his High School sweetheart of 45 years. Cheryl continued his passion and their dream to make this a place for those in need as a way to honor the most giving man she ever knew. This process has brought some healing and it is our hope to continue that healing for others in need from life's many trials.
Anyone experiencing grief, widows/widowers, can enjoy a respite visit to refuel and support during tough times.
Those that come to enjoy Tom's Rest will hopefully gain some needed respite. Most feel they are pretty much 'on their own' in this retreat area with the option for seclusion OR mingling if so desired.

Don’t worry though, we’ve got a floodlight and cameras for a little extra peace of mind. In the morning, you might even wake up to our neighborhood mule deer cruising through the yard.
Right across the street, you can hop on the Canal Trail and head either way. Cruise east for a quick 5-minute bike ride to Fred Meyer, Starbucks, and more. Or head west through 120+ acres of forest that connects straight to the Deschutes River Trail (about 4 minutes away). From there, it’s all about the outdoors—fishing, bouldering, biking, swimming, rafting…you name it.
Want to check out the Old Mill or catch a show at Hayden Homes Amphitheater? It’s all just ¾ of a mile down the hill—super easy to get to.

Pull up and let the vacation begin. The Lake Billy Chinook area has everything for the perfect camp trip. There is bike riding, boating, fishing, hiking, ATV riding, swimming, kayaking, lounging and enjoying nature.
When you arrive just park in your site. We have 30-amp service but no RV septic hookup. The site is gravel so you may need to level your rig.
We have a fantastic outdoor area complete with couch, loungers, BBQ and fire pit. The high desert offers some of the most amazing views of the Cascade Mountains with clear blue skies and some of the best star gazing around. Casa del Lago is a dark sky site. There is a fantastic view of Mount Jefferson from the couch and the sunsets are absolutely beautiful.
During the Summer we usually enjoy beautiful sunny days and cool comfortable nights. You can hang out down at the lake and find a spot on the beach to have a picnic. You can also bring your boat or rent one at the Cove Palisades Marina and enjoy water sports.
Hosts live in house on property. We are located 4 miles from the lake and are nestled in a rural country neighborhood.

This 320 acre plot of land on which you can hike anywhere has been in our family since 1993.
Large, graveled spot for tents or two vehicles with excellent view for miles and miles and night star gazing. Primitive outhouse. Juniper forest with sage brush... basically high desert vegetation. We only allow one reservation per night. You can arrange vehicles or tents to not be in view or block any view from house way above. 320 acres to hike and roam. Mitchell is 10 miles away with well stocked grocery and feed store, restaurants, small brewery, and tire shop. We give directions fairly quickly. Road is wide, but steep at top. 4 wheel drive is recommended. Very close to the Painted Hills Unit of the John Day Fossil Beds National monument, Ochoco National Forest is seven miles. John Day River for swimming, rafting about 20 minutes. If you can book, it means you can drive on up with out contacting us. As you drive in if at night, you will see a light on the outhouse.

Enjoy Cascade Mountain views during the day and unlimited stargazing at night. Camping is situated on 10 acres and just 10 minutes from the Crooked River, Prineville Reservoir and Millican Valley OHV Trail System . A 15 minute drive will take you to a very scenic hike at Chimney Rock Trail. Bend and Prineville are both a 30 minute drive away.
The group tent site has two separate-12' x 14' flat gravel pads and will accommodate tents of all reasonable sizes. Also includes an outdoor shower/compostable toilet, BBQ with picnic area, and propane fire pit.
The other two separate tent sites are roughly 20'x20' flat gravel pads and will accomodate 2 individual tents if needed. Also includes shared compostable toilet and individual propane fire pit.

Located 9 miles east of Bend our 40 acre ranch is full of open fields and juniper forest. We have cows, chickens, geese and ducks that live on the ranch and you will most likely see them roaming around the fields. The nights are quiet with the exception of frogs and crickets and offer a full night sky without light pollution.

Absolutely breathtaking mountain views from the tiny house and all over the property. Located on an active farm sanctuary. You will wake up to the sights, sounds and smells of our rescued farm animal friends.

Tiny house with stunning mountain views located on a farm animal sanctuary, Harmony Farm Sanctuary. You will wake up in the morning to the sound of roosters crowing and our crew of friendly animal residents. It can be noisy at times but we find it delightful! The tiny house has huge, direct views of the Three Sisters mountains and Broken Top and plenty of outdoor sitting space to enjoy it and a little propane fire pit to enjoy the sunsets. The tiny house offers an amazing "glamping" experience and a unique opportunity to learn more about what we do at our animal sanctuary and even take a tour!
The Space: Our hand made tiny house offers a double sized mattress (bedding included) in the upstairs area (access via an attached ladder). Room for an additional person across from double bed also in upstairs area or put provided mat on the floor. Please note: the space is small for 3 people and better serves 2.
The Kitchen: Tiny house kitchen area has a small refrigerator, small counter space for meal prep, a tea kettle for hot water, water jug for fresh water, french press coffee pot and coffee/tea, hot plate for cooking, popcorn maker and popcorn, pots and pans, silverware, napkins, bottle openers, etc. We now have a new small outdoor kitchen with a two burner propane stove and an outside fish washing station.
The Facilities: The tiny house offers a composting toilet for night time pee pee needs and offers a port-a-potty for all other uses please! If you want to know a secret river dipping spot or where to go to find a sauna I’m happy to share!
Outdoor Shower: We have a lovely little “instant hot” shower for use on non freezing days.
The Location: We are conveniently located between beautiful Bend, Oregon and Sisters, Oregon. We have hiking and biking trails within .3 of a mile! We also have books to recommend 100's of other hiking, biking, nordic skiing and alpine skiing nearby! And, since we are outdoor enthusiasts ourselves, we are happy to recommend places to ski, hike, mountain bike, float or paddle!

This Hipcamp was perfect for us! It was private, peaceful, and had plenty of mowed grass where our golden retriever could safely explore and roll around off leash.
Our gracious host, Matt, met us at the end of the driveway and personally escorted us to our campsite, where we easily set up two tents on level, grassy ground. He was friendly, welcoming, and very responsive to our questions about the area. Matt truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay.
The campsite included Wi-Fi, a clean porta-potty, potable water, an electrical outlet, a picnic table, and an additional table—both with attached umbrellas. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities and would definitely stay here again if we're in the Bend area.

This is a lovely campground not far from Bend. The bathrooms were great as well as the communal fire pit. It’s well-kept and most sites were well-shaded in the mornings and late afternoons.

Nice shady afternoon spot in plotted 5 acre home site neighborhood. Nice location for easy bike rides to downtown or nearby shopping or State park. Well maintained grassy parking for whatever camping style you have: motorhome of large or small size or tent camping. Cold water sink and power outlet next to gas BBQ grill that makes kitchen tasks easier. Picnic table and smaller 4 chair dining table within steps of camp site, both with shade!

We love The Camp and have stayed here a few times when traveling to Bend. It's incredibly clean, great location and we love the sitting/coffee/book swap area in the middle. The only downfall is Burnside can get a tad noisy with trucks going by in the morning, but not much you can do about that and the pros far outweigh the one con. We will be back!

Cheryl’s property is great! A quiet, gorgeous spot to camp away from crowds. We loved sitting out having coffee in the mornings or drinks at night and just looking out at the mountains and/or the stars. Highly recommend!

This place is a hidden gem! My family and I stayed here for two nights in our Sprinter van at Site 1, and it was an excellent experience. The site was impressively level, so I didn’t even need to use leveling blocks.
The bathroom facilities were clean and well maintained, with a sink available for washing your hands. The electrical and water hookups worked flawlessly throughout our stay. We also appreciated the shade and enjoyed several relaxing lunches at the picnic table provided.
Our dogs absolutely loved this property. There was plenty of open grassy space for them to run and play, and they had a great time with the hosts’ friendly dog, Kona.
Rocki and Myles were, without a doubt, some of the best hosts we’ve ever had. They were welcoming, kind, and made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this spot to anyone traveling with family or pets. We would gladly stay here again!

The trailer was so cute and cozy for our quick stay in Bend. The bed was actually very comfortable, we slept so well! It was hot out the weekend we were there, but the trailer stayed cool with the curtains drawn and in the evening it cooled down a lot so it was perfect. I also loved the location, it was very central to lots of parks, restaurants, and the water. We would definitely come back 😊 thanks for having us!

We had such a great time staying in the teepee! The property is beautiful and conveniently located, we were in town for a concert and had no issues coming and going. The picnic table and outdoor counter were also a nice touch, and we loved saying hi to the chickens and goats!

What a wonderful little camp ground! I loved staying in the Tipi. It was practical and supeer cute! Although I brought my own queen air mattress. They do provide two nice sleeping pads and a one cot. It was a great for a place to sleep after a concert at Hayden home Amphitheater. And its only about 25mins for downtown Bend.

We loved our relaxing and unplugged stay at Harmony!! This is a very special place - the animals are friendly and so well-loved. Robine was welcome and accommodating to any needs. All the staff and volunteers who we interacted with were amazing! Highly recommend this unique property - we loved the views of The Sisters and the quiet sun sets over the pastures.

I love this place. Easy access, close to downtown bend, and it doesnt cost an arm and a leg. Bathrooms are nice and they even have laundry service. I will be back for sure.
