Our unique location is close to Bend city limits and right next to Horse Ridge Mountain Biking Trails. BLM land surrounds the area, and is even accessible from the upper part of our property. Come out and enjoy the high desert and explore the juniper forest.
We have tent camping sites and one tipi.
We are currently in the process of still building out our glamping pods. However in the mean time you can currently book a stay at those sites for tent camping.
The tent sites offer a comfortable setting for your tent in the sandy dirt.
Each site includes a large picnic table and a fire pit.
**We offer firewood bundles for sale for $5 in the community area**
We have a small community area, there you will find a small outdoor kitchen with a large blackstone, small bbq and little cooking/eating utensils.

We have a basketball hoop, yoga deck, and pull up /hanging bars.
Next to the community area is where you will also find the bathroom, which is a clean porta potty.
Come enjoy wandering the juniper forest and sage brush in Central Oregon’s high desert. We are next to 100’s of acres of BLM land, including the Horse Ridge Mountain Biking Trail System. There is hiking, biking, horse trails and ATV trails all nearby. Our open skies are great for daydreaming and stargazing. Come see how bright the milky way is out here Sage Ridge.
Sage Ridge is only 15 miles east of Bend right off of Hwy 20.

Large, graveled. Recent Central Oregon fires did no damage in this
spot for tents or two vehicles
with excellent view for miles and miles and night star gazing. Primitive outhouse. Juniper forest with sage brush... basically high desert vegetation. We only allow one reservation per night. You can arrange vehicles or tents to not be in view or block any view from house way above. 320 acres to hike and roam. Mitchell is 10 miles away. with well stocked grocery and feed store, restaurants, small brewery, and tire shop. We give directions fairly quickly. Road is wide, but steep at top. 4 wheel drive is recommended. Very close to the Painted Hills Unit of the John Day Fossil Beds National monument, Ochoco National Forest is seven miles. John Day River for swimming, rafting about 20 minutes. If you can book, it means you can drive on up with out contacting us.
As you drive in if at night, you will see a light on the outhouse.

TOM'S REST was created by Tom's wife Cheryl in an effort to carry out their plans to provide respite for those in need. Tom Edwards worked tirelessly for years to clear this wild recreation space where he planned to live while helping others. Tom suddenly and unexpectedly passed February 2, 2015 while in the process of making his move to Sisters with his High School sweetheart of 45 years. Cheryl continued his passion and their dream to make this a place for those in need as a way to honor the most giving man she ever knew. This process has brought some healing and it is our hope to continue that healing for others in need from life's many trials.
Anyone experiencing grief, widows/widowers, can enjoy a respite visit to refuel and support during tough times.
Those that come to enjoy Tom's Rest will hopefully gain some needed respite. Most feel they are pretty much 'on their own' in this retreat area with the option for seclusion OR mingling if so desired.
My deepest thanks to all who have stood alongside through this journey and continue to do so.

Located 9 miles east of Bend our serene 40 acre ranch is full of open fields, flowers, and juniper forest. We have Bees, dogs, cows, chickens, geese and ducks that live on the ranch. You will most likely see the cows roaming around the fields, ducks and geese in the irrigation ditch and bees on the wildflowers. We are close enough to Bend where if you need something you are not far, but far enough out that you have dark star filled nights with full view of the milky way.

Tiny house with stunning mountain views located on a farm animal sanctuary, Harmony Farm Sanctuary. You will wake up in the morning to the sound of roosters crowing and our crew of friendly animal residents. It can be noisy at times but we find it delightful! The tiny house has huge, direct views of the Three Sisters mountains and Broken Top and plenty of outdoor sitting space to enjoy it and a little propane fire pit to enjoy the sunsets. The tiny house offers an amazing "glamping" experience and a unique opportunity to learn more about what we do at our animal sanctuary and even take a tour!
The Space: Our hand made tiny house offers a double sized mattress (bedding included) in the upstairs area (access via an attached ladder). Room for an additional person across from double bed also in upstairs area or put provided mat on the floor. Please note: the space is small for 3 people and better serves 2.
The Kitchen: Tiny house kitchen area has a small refrigerator, small counter space for meal prep, a tea kettle for hot water, water jug for fresh water, french press coffee pot and coffee/tea, hot plate for cooking, popcorn maker and popcorn, pots and pans, silverware, napkins, bottle openers, etc. We now have a new small outdoor kitchen with a two burner propane stove and an outside fish washing station.
The Facilities: The tiny house offers a composting toilet for night time pee pee needs and offers a port-a-potty for all other uses please! If you want to know a secret river dipping spot or where to go to find a sauna I’m happy to share!
Outdoor Shower: We have a lovely little “instant hot” shower for use on non freezing days.
The Location: We are conveniently located between beautiful Bend, Oregon and Sisters, Oregon. We have hiking and biking trails within .3 of a mile! We also have books to recommend 100's of other hiking, biking, nordic skiing and alpine skiing nearby! And, since we are outdoor enthusiasts ourselves, we are happy to recommend places to ski, hike, mountain bike, float or paddle!

Our house is located in Wood River Village. It is the beginning of where the Deschutes River bends as it comes into the town of Bend. One can quickly and easily walk to the river trail from our house. By going up river, one gets the sense of being remote and in the forest along a well maintained trail that makes a 3 miles loop with many rapids visible from the trail. By walking down river, one can quickly access Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Old Mill shopping and Downtown on a paved walking path. The river is popular for people who want to float the lazy river on their own tubes or rafts with a taxi service with drop-off and pick you up. The Old mill district is popular for shopping In downtown Bend and boarding the river is an amphitheater that hosts top name bands every few weeks. Rancho Mateo is less than ten minutes from "The Cascade Village Shopping Center" with many restaurant and shopping options to the south. In 2016, Nathaniel and Raina Potter purchased this 30-acre ranch and aptly named it Big Rock Ranch. The land’s modest ranch layout is contrasted by the wildly grand views of a towering rock outcropping jutting from Coyote Butte, a striking formation that continues to inspire awe in both its owners and visitors. Today, Big Rock Ranch is home to pasture-raised cattle, chickens, goats, horses, a bursting garden, and a commitment to regenerative ranching practices.

Host has put a lot of intention and care into the grounds. She is responsive and absolutely willing to help, though we didn’t need anything. It’s clean and homey with breathtaking views! We do not have 4WD and easily navigated the roads, with a trailer on our 24ft RV. Though, we can see how it might be challenging with winter or early spring weather. Would absolutely stay here again.

This camping site was easy to find with host's instruction and Google maps did a good job as well. This is a primitive site at a pretty high elevation. There is a picnic table and rough bathroom on site. No water but the hosts kindly offered to provide if i did not have any. I went there to do some stargazing and I suspect this is a Bortle 1 zone. I have never seen Orion so bright. There are a couple of trees to deal with but you can work around them. My dog loved exploring the acerage and it is only 9 miles from the tiny town of Mitchell which has a cafe and a small brew pub, which is quite busy. There is a general store also you can get basic groceries if needed. You could not find a more peaceful campsite with terrific views.

Sandy & Tim’s spot was a great place to stop on our way to the coast! Our site had a nice flat spot for the tent and we had the place to ourselves so it was really quiet. The bathroom is spotless (yes, it’s a porta potty but it was really clean and had a shelter over it and a handwashing station right outside). Everything is very well thought out- there’s even a communal cooking area and a platform for yoga in the community space. Very cool spot!

The cabin was perfect.for my one night stay. The honor fridge and the store/cafe was a huge plus for me as I was on a motorcycle and unable to fit the food/drink needed.

We had such a good stay in the parking lot of bunk and brew. No joke it was fun and comfortable. All the other guests, (could have been our children and some even our grandchildren) were so nice and friendly. The bath house is outstanding with a great sauna and laundry facilities.

I had such a wonderful stay at Roadhouse Ranch & Camp. They were incredibly accommodating when my campsite the night before my reservation fell through and allowed me to come a day early, which I really appreciated. When I arrived, they let me choose whichever available site I wanted.
The site itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I love that each spot has its own personal hammock—such a nice touch and the perfect place to relax. The bathrooms and showers were also in excellent condition. The entire property is beautiful and so peaceful.
I stayed for five nights and honestly couldn’t be happier with my experience. The hospitality, gorgeous surroundings, and well kept facilities made this my favorite stay of my trip so far. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Roadhouse Ranch & Camp!
And of course, the goats were the cherry on top 🐐🩶
