Hi and welcome to Picknik Place LLC! This campsite is situated on a 20-acre farm, so it feels remote and removed from the primary residents. With this spot, you are nestled under a juniper tree that provides ample shade with a lava rock backdrop, and can watch the sun dip below the Three Sisters volcanoes in the distance. This spot is very simple and tucked away, perfect for stargazing at night with limited light pollution. There is a picnic table, swing, and fire pit (please make sure the fire ban is off for this). There is no water, electricity, septic, or wifi. You do have cell service. Please remember, you may encounter wildlife. This can include, but not limited to, deer, coyotes, snakes, spiders, etc. I have seen many bull snakes around that mimic rattlesnakes but are harmless. As long as you do not aggravate any animals, they should leave you alone. Also, please remember if you have pets, to keep them under control and be aware that cheat grass in the summer months can get stuck in their paws, ears, etc. While feeling remote and removed from the Bend tourism, it only takes 15 minutes to get downtown Bend, where there are ample restaurants, shops, coffeehouses, the Deschutes River, etc. It takes 7 minutes to get to Trader Joe's and Home Depot, and 10 minutes to get to St. Charles Hospital. We are perfectly situated between Smith Rock State Park (25 minutes) and the High Desert Museum (17 minutes). Heads up: as many places in central Oregon, Picknik Place gets pretty dusty, dry, and hot in the summer months. You may also encounter minimal road noise. Enjoy this private spot with all of the surrounding natural beauty!

This spot is really beautiful, and the price made it a great option for what we needed. We were in the area for a training and just needed an inexpensive place to pitch a tent for a couple nights, and it worked well for that. The privacy was decent, probably around a 6 or 7 out of 10. The biggest downside was the noise. It's close to a road, and there's also an airport nearby, so there was quite a bit of traffic and aircraft noise. Overall, I'd recommend it if you're looking for an affordable overnight stop while passing through, but I probably wouldn't choose it as a destination for a peaceful camping getaway.

This spot was perfectly placed with a picnic table and fun little swing. The views were beautiful and it felt private and just far enough from town but still close enough to get to anything and explore easily! Very much enjoyed my time!

Great remote spot away from the crowds. Close to the entrance and easily accessed with my Honda fit. A few deer hanging out in the field. Definitely coming back here again!

This was my second time camping on Nikki’s land and I couldn’t recommend more! It’s a short distance into town and I’ve been lucky enough to have the place all to myself both times I’ve stayed. The site was clean and had everything I needed personally!

Farmland Site #2 was perfect for us and our reactive dogs. Very private and "cozy" under a gorgeous juniper tree with a lava rock backdrop. Sunsets were incredible and we enjoyed birding. We mainly wanted to test out some new camping gear, so being near the road and hearing traffic wasn't a big deal for this trip. There was also a burn ban in effect, but we typically don't make campfires anyway, so that didn't impact us at all. Site is pretty dusty, and there is a ton of cheat grass beyond the gravel pad, so beware of that if you have dogs. We kept ours on leash and were just mindful of where we walked them on the property. The only downside was that previous campers left their TP in the bushes in the back. We picked it up before we left, but REMINDER: this site doesn't have a bathroom, so plan accordingly and pack it out! We came prepared with our own Luggable Loo toilet and a privacy tent. I would absolutely stay here again. Conveniently close to town and all the recreation areas, easy to find, and lovely scenery.

This was my second time staying on Nikki’s property. The location is why I came back. It is a short drive from almost everything Bend has to offer. Definitely on my list of repeat stays!

We really enjoyed this spot! It’s a great home-base for Bend / Redmond activities. The site was level and the Juniper tree at the site provided perfect shade from the afternoon sun. There is minimal road noise and didn’t bother us at all. I love sites that offer an early check-in add on and this one has that - we were able to be there at noon! The site is private, we were left to ourselves, and had plenty of area for our dogs to be off leash. We plan to book a return visit!

I loved this site so much!!! It’s very private & it was so close to downtown Bend which gave me the option to explore without having to drive back and fourth!! Host was super helpful if needed. If noise is an issue for sleeping, there is a nearby road that is well trafficked that makes noise. Wasn’t an issue for me but might be for someone else so just take into account!!

If you have a dog, especially smaller, don’t go here. The fox tails are horrendous. Had to take dog to vet and paid $400 to have fox tails removed from ear canal. We arrived late in the evening and left early next morning and in that short amount of time our spaniel got a fox tail in his ear. Fortunately we found a vet and they made arrangements to take him in. Very quiet. Wonderful to let the dogs just run without a concern. The value and solitude is perfect.

Awesome spot, easy to find and super clean! Loved the swing,. Picnic bench and solar lights on the tree. Didn't try the solar power but so nice that it's there. Nice and level spots too! The bata were out at dusk which is always fun. You can hear the road noise but it's distant enough that it doesn't affect sleep. Only heard the train at bedtime and then once in the morning. Would definitely stay again! Thank you!
