We loved our camp site on Sharon's land! The sunset over the Sisters and big sky night was spectacular. Cleanest lou I've used, and clean water and picnic right at the site.. wish we could stay longer.

This campsite is like something out of a dream. The views are stunning, as are the sunsets behind Mt. Jefferson and watching shooting stars in the clear night sky. The horses, the canyon, the sound of coyotes in the distance at twilight...
We happened to come on a very hot day (92) and were glad we had a canopy to provide a little shade since the campsite is in full sun.
The port-a-potty was perfect for us, and the running water was right at the site and very clean.
Our kids (9 and 12) managed very well on the land and loved the horses. I wouldn't recommend it for campers with toddlers since it is a working ranch, and you need to be able to pass under/through fences to visit the horses and the canyon.

A magical experience amid the horses and high desert! We had a wonderful time at this campsite. Some items to note, it was extremely hot in mid-July and there was no shade at the site, so bring your own shade. There is a nice, short walk to the canyon rim near the campsite, though we found it chock-full of foxtails and it passes through an area with a horse that doesn't like dogs--all in all, we probably wouldn't bring our dog next time, or maybe leave him in the tent for that walk. There were also some dogs in a neighboring house that barked quite late into the night, so we were glad we brought some earplugs. For these mild inconveniences, you get breathtaking scenery and a moonrise over the buttes that was absolutely to die for--we will absolutely visit again!

Wow! What an amazing stay. Sharon was soo sweet, led us to our camp spot where we could set up. Even gave us a tarp to put down since the ground was wet. When I say this was the most incredible spot, stars, and view I don’t say that lightly! I am from Oregon and was blown away from the beauty. So private, so safe, gorgeous horses! Woke up to a buck and deer by our tent. Also the cleanest porta potty, and fresh water from their well. 100/10.

We had the best time! Beautiful location with mountain views, horses, and sagebrush, and very close to visit Smith Rock. One thing to keep in mind is that the road is a little rough going out to the campsite. My friend was still able to make it out there in their car going slowly, but we had an easier time in our truck. I would definitely recommend this site, it was very special.

My friends and I had a great stay at Sharon's Horse Ranch on the Rim. The views of the Sisters and Mt. Jefferson were spectacular. Sharon was easy to communicate with and a friendly host. It was nice to have a portable toilet and potable water available too. Definitely recommend staying here if you are visiting Central Oregon.

This was a great first-time Hipcamping experience for us. Sharon was a very helpful and accommodating host. Camp sites were quite secluded and peaceful, with the cleanest portable toilet I have set foot in and clean well water graciously provided. The view would have been even more superb without the haze. Would love to come back again and explore more of the canyon rim next time.

Lots of wide open space with views of the mountains. Each site has a private porta-potty. There is a burn ban in the area currently so you wont be able to have a camp fire but the host said cooktops are okay. It was also nice being able to fill up on clean drinking water that tasted great!
