Enjoy Cascade Mountain views during the day and unlimited stargazing at night. Camping is situated on 10 acres and just 10 minutes from the Crooked River, Prineville Reservoir and Millican Valley OHV Trail System . A 15 minute drive will take you to a very scenic hike at Chimney Rock Trail. Bend and Prineville are both a 30 minute drive away. The group tent site has two separate-12' x 14' flat gravel pads and will accommodate tents of all reasonable sizes. Also includes an outdoor shower/compostable toilet, BBQ with picnic area, and propane fire pit. The other two separate tent sites are roughly 20'x20' flat gravel pads and will accomodate 2 individual tents if needed. Also includes shared compostable toilet and individual propane fire pit. Wood fire bans are in effect year round. We do provide propane fire pits at each site as an alternative. Propane tanks are also included. Group site outdoor shower available Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.

Group Site

Tent camping here was lovely overall. The views were beautiful-- sunrises, sunsets and stargazing was unrivaled. The composting restroom was convenient and very clean. There is a path from the parking area to the site, while it Is not particularly long, a rolling cart would have been helpful for setup. I would return again with a cart and some sort of canopy for shade in the summer months.

Beautiful!

Superb tent site! Clean, comfortable and with a panoramic view of the dessert and mountains. This hipcamp is well designed and beautifully maintained. My only complaint was a nearby camper who kept music playing through out the night. But, I would definitely revisit this place.

Wonderful desert views and absolutely stunning sunsets and moon rises! The composting bathroom and solar heated shower were wonderful additions and were nice to use after a long and hot day biking the Crooked River Scenic Bikeway nearby. Such an amazing ride along the river to Prineville and back! We also hiked the Chimney Rock trail. We had the whole place to ourselves, no other campers, so it was peaceful for the most part. Not sure what the deal is with all of the abandoned vehicles/RVs right on the property…wasn’t sure if there were people living there or not. It’s not disclosed in the property description and none of the photos really show that it’s there. So not quite as private as the photos might lead you to believe. Also, the property neighbors tend to have heated arguments, cursing and yelling at each other and slamming things. It definitely made me a bit uncomfortable an I didn’t love having this in earshot of camp. Their dogs also tend to bark a lot and wander over onto this property. None of this would necessarily deter me from staying here again, I just would have liked to know about it beforehand.
