Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Prineville Acres is a 2 acre, flat and peaceful, uninhabited rustic getaway in Prineville to enjoy all to yourself. It is located 7 minutes from Prineville Reservoir and 12 minutes from town. The property is situated on a quiet corner, and is best suited for dry campers who want a more private experience as there is no host on site and you do not share the space with other campers. The center area is cleared of trees, has a newly updated graveled fire ring for warming fires, and a newly graveled RV pad and parking area along one side. There is a deck and a shed used for host storage, and trees surrounding the perimeter of the property. The adjacent 2 acre property is also uninhabited, adding to your sense of privacy, while the neighboring property to the rear has live- in very quiet tenants. Local deer travel through the property at all times of the year so please be respectful of wildlife. In the summer, bring your boat, kayaks, bikes, paddle boards, off road vehicles or ATV's, and use them in the surrounding waterways, on the nearby public use BLM land, Millican Valley OHV Trail System, or Four Corners Staging Area. Bring your family's fishing poles and take the kids to the local Youth Fishing Pond, nearby Haystack or Ochoco or Prineville Reservoirs that are stocked year-round with trout. Within just a couple minutes of the property is a local petting zoo you are sure to enjoy and be sure to stop in town at Tastee Treet for the best milkshakes and burgers around! And- if you enjoy relaxed open-air fire side setting2, stop by the Wild Ride Brewery for a truly enjoyable outdoor family friendly experience and grab a brew and pizza or fish n chips at the on-site food carts. After dinner, don’t forget to take a moment to enjoy the most beautiful sunsets and opportunity for stargazing unlike anywhere else at the overlook or our camp spot!!Prineville Acres is a 2 acre flat space surrounded by Juniper trees on a quiet corner in the secluded PLA2 neighborhood near endless activities for you to enjoy. Most roads in the area are paved and a few are gravel, but they are accessible by all vehicles types. The on-site deck can be used as you like, and while off leash pets are always welcome, please be sure to clean up after them, ensure they are with you at all times and that dogs do not bark excessively. There is a newly updated warming fire pit area to use when fire bans are lifted and as the sun goes down you may see the local deer that stroll through the property and get a chance to enjoy the most beautiful sunsets!

I had a nice stay for the week for work. Easy access to the reservoir close by and not too far away from town so kinda best of both worlds. I was in a tent not an RV and it was comfy ground was plenty soft like sand but there was no shade so I'd recommend a pop up canopy if you're tent camping. Mandy was great answering any questions it's a great spot I'd recommend it.

Mandy's place is way out of town and quiet. I got some amazing star photos. It's a very rudimentary site: level, a raised platform for tents, no water and a ton of dust. Beautiful, lots of dust but a million stars!

Great spot to park my 20’ travel trailer for 2 nights. Would absolutely go back again in the future. Zero frills, just a chunk of land. Some road traffic but you’re far enough off the road that it isn’t annoying. There were actually a few folks walking by which fine, again, you’re several hundred feet away. A bit far from town, plan for a 20+ minute drive if you want to explore downtown Prineville. The highlight for me was finding a house nearby with a bunch of free cowboy hats on the gate that I scored one from!

Great little private spot. The deck was a nice amenity. Couldn't use the fire pit due to fire restrictions, but it would have been great. 10/10 would stay again. 😊

I only stayed here one night, but felt safe and comfortable! Some barking from the neighbors dog but it didn’t keep me up at all! Fell asleep to the stars and woke up to a few deer and fawn grazing near my car!

Nice quiet dark spot to watch the night sky. Empty 2 acre lot in a new subdivision of sagebrush and juniper desert in process of being improved. Flat easy road access for towing our little trailer. Nice flat deck to roll out sleeping bags and tents. Could not see the lights of Prineville.

It was a spacious, level area with a turnaround that was partially gravel, but largely loose, dry dirt. The sparse trees gave a sense of privacy from the scattered houses and trailers nearby. There was a free-standing deck that was very convenient. It was a peaceful place to enjoy the big night sky.
