The Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest is made up of 1.8 million acres and spans from the Western Cascades to the Siskiyou Mountains. With somewhere between 60 to 100 inches of rain per year this escape is filled with a diversity of green and a lone Rogue River. Port Orford Cedar and Douglas fir practically litter the mountainous, and meadow landscapes. Lakes and streams (200 miles of them) aren’t too uncommon, and the forest boasts the tallest Pine tree in the World (we’re not kidding folks). The Ponderosa Pine stands at 268.35ft, which is a little bit taller than your average industrial wind turbine.

Salem, OR · 1 site · Tent, RV
Welcome to the future site of The Star Colony. The Star Colony – 2-Acre Private Desert Site + AR Experience This 2-acre private high desert property in Central Oregon is currently undeveloped — raw, open land surrounded by expansive skies, mountain views, and quiet natural terrain. What makes this stay different: In addition to renting the land itself, guests can access an exclusive augmented reality (AR) experience that reveals the planned Star Colony pyramid structure on-site. Using your phone, you can stand on the land and see the future pyramid rise in full scale — walk around it, view it from different angles, and experience the architectural vision where it will eventually be built. You are experiencing the beginning of a project before it exists. The land is ideal for: • Tent camping • Vanlife / overlanding • Stargazing and astrophotography • Content creation • Quiet day or overnight retreats Important: This is raw land. There are no built structures, no utilities, and no traditional amenities. Guests must be fully self-contained and pack in / pack out. This stay is for people who appreciate open terrain, big skies, and experimental experiences — not resort convenience. The Star Colony is evolving. This is Phase Zero.

My family has owned the ranch since 1977. We bought it from my parents a few years ago to keep it in the family. We love living here, and although it is just the two of us working it, we are slowly getting it to what we want it to be. The house we live in is over 100 years old and used to be a stage coach stop back in the late 1800's to early 1900's, You can still see some of the old stage coach roads on the property, and we are trying to preserve those the best we can. Also in the early 1900's this ranch used to be the place to go on the fourth of July. People from all over would bring their prize horses to compete in a horse race for the name of the fastest horses around While others would bring picnic baskets to set back on the knoll in one of our fields to watch. Learn more about this land:We are a 500 Acre working ranch located in Beautiful East Central Oregon, We are Between The stunning Painted Hills, and Umatilla National Forest. Just a few miles away from the Gorgeous John Day River, where Rafting, Tubing, Fishing, Swimming is always a welcome retreat. A few miles above us is Bull Prairie Lake and the wonderful Umatilla National Forest where hiking, sight seeing and wildlife viewing is always available.

Antelope, OR · 8 sites · Tents, RVs, Lodging
We are located in the heart of Antelope, a rural (near) Ghost town that is rich in history and culture. This particular property is currently being cleaned up and revitalized. We would like to open it up to dry camping, some cabins, and RV Space with partial hookups at this time as we are already seeing a huge influx of cyclists and motorcycles in the area and they have no place to camp. There is a bathhouse onsite as part of the Pavilion structure. Please do not park on grass, unless you are an RV Space with partial hookups that has made arrangements with park host. Thank you for visiting and having patience while we continue to fix up the property.

Hi and welcome to Picknik Place LLC! This campsite is situated on a 20-acre farm, so it feels remote and removed from the primary residents. With this spot, you are nestled under a juniper tree that provides ample shade with a lava rock backdrop, and can watch the sun dip below the Three Sisters volcanoes in the distance. This spot is very simple and tucked away, perfect for stargazing at night with limited light pollution. There is a picnic table, swing, and fire pit (please make sure the fire ban is off for this). There is no water, electricity, septic, or wifi. You do have cell service. Please remember, you may encounter wildlife. This can include, but not limited to, deer, coyotes, snakes, spiders, etc. I have seen many bull snakes around that mimic rattlesnakes but are harmless. As long as you do not aggravate any animals, they should leave you alone. Also, please remember if you have pets, to keep them under control and be aware that cheat grass in the summer months can get stuck in their paws, ears, etc. While feeling remote and removed from the Bend tourism, it only takes 15 minutes to get downtown Bend, where there are ample restaurants, shops, coffeehouses, the Deschutes River, etc. It takes 7 minutes to get to Trader Joe's and Home Depot, and 10 minutes to get to St. Charles Hospital. We are perfectly situated between Smith Rock State Park (25 minutes) and the High Desert Museum (17 minutes). Heads up: as many places in central Oregon, Picknik Place gets pretty dusty, dry, and hot in the summer months. You may also encounter minimal road noise. Enjoy this private spot with all of the surrounding natural beauty!

Our house is located in Wood River Village. It is the beginning of where the Deschutes River bends as it comes into the town of Bend. One can quickly and easily walk to the river trail from our house. By going up river, one gets the sense of being remote and in the forest along a well maintained trail that makes a 3 miles loop with many rapids visible from the trail. By walking down river, one can quickly access Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Old Mill shopping and Downtown on a paved walking path. Check out the Hayden Homes Amphitheater websites for their concert series this year. https://www.eventticketscenter.com/hayden-homes-amphitheater-bend-tickets/525456/e?gclid=Cj0KCQjw06OTBhC_ARIsAAU1yOUS7UvoFf-WWpnWbHjLjiXzVu0zkNnzLjvGaFg_Oh2eCBJhXHjRfIEaAvU7EALw_wcB Learn more about this land: Campers will be camping in our backyard, surrounded by old growth Ponderosa pines. This campsite sits on forty acres of property that has been in the family since the early 1930's.  It is the property where my husband has been born and raised.  His brother started growing a few acres of tempranillo grapes as a hobby about twenty years ago.  His hobby has turned into Emerald Slope Vineyard with many varieties of grapes. The working vineyard has made this property even more beautiful than it already was.  We feel blessed to live in such a beautiful place and love sharing its incredible view with others.
