Enjoy the comforts of home at some sites—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.

We are located in the heart of Antelope, a rural (near) Ghost town that is rich in history and culture. We are already seeing a huge influx of cyclists and motorcycles in the area that have no place to camp, so we decided to change that! There is a bathhouse onsite as part of the Pavilion structure. Please do not park on grass, unless you are an RV Space with partial hookups that has made arrangements with park host. Thank you for visiting and having patience while we continue to fix up the property.

Welcome to Antelope Basecamp — a revitalized RV and tent‑camping haven in the heart of historic Antelope, Oregon. Once a simple roadside stop, the property is now undergoing a thoughtful transformation under new ownership, reopening its gates to travelers, cyclists, and scenic‑byway wanderers looking for a quiet place to land for the night. At this stage of redevelopment, guests are welcome to dry camp and enjoy the simplicity of wide‑open skies, peaceful nights, and small‑town charm. The two‑acre camp sits prominently at the corner of Union and Main Street. We invite you to pause, rest, and take in the landscape. Restrooms and running water are available on site. Guests will also find a small honor‑system refrigerator stocked with cold drinks and popsicles — a refreshing treat on warm Central Oregon days. Antelope Basecamp is a work in progress with a welcoming spirit, offering a simple, safe, and convenient stopover for anyone exploring this beautiful stretch of Oregon’s high desert. Please see photos attached and look for the red Adirondack chairs to stop and relax at.

These cabins are simple, only include two twin waterproof mattresses. Guests still get to utilize the property amenities, however it is expected they have their own sleeping bags or linens. The price reflects this model that we are trying to cater to short term guests (cyclist and motorcycles) who just need a comfortable bed and it is better than sleeping on the ground.

A-Frame cabin is approximately 168 square feet with two twin beds, a chair, bottle water, end table, books, linens. Also has heating and cooling, garbage onsite, and portable toilet. There is currently no running water due to winterization at the park, however the cabins will have plenty of furnished water supply. The park is in midst of construction and this is a work in progress property. We sincerely appreciate you working with us while we continue to remodel the remaining cabins and finishing the bathhouse and other buildings. We have had high demand to get a cabin ready for occupancy and we are doing this early to accommodate those requests.

This was my first Hipcamp experience, and I enjoyed my brief stay at Antelope Basecamp. Thankfully, I arrived while it was still light and was able to get set up before darkness fell. The hostess was helpful and responsive upon arrival. It was a nice quiet rural area, beautiful sunset, the bathrooms were clean and warm. I would stay there again, if in the area!
