What a wonderful spot! The view was absolutely outstanding on its own, and the abundance of wildlife to watch ((Rock Wrens, Cliff & Violet-Green Swallows, Marmots, Lizards, Red Tail Hawks, Osprey, Northern Flickers, Western Screech Owls, Anna's Hummingbirds, horses on the ranch)) only added to the magic. Wish we had brought binoculars!!
The cabin was very cozy and private, it felt like we were completely alone. The outdoor kitchen was rad. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the beautiful sunsets. On our colder night we enjoyed the wood fireplace inside the cabin. The water spigot up the hill was incredibly helpful, and the solar shower was a nice convenience!
Wish we had had to fully explore the onsite hiking trail down the canyon!
If you're seeking a peaceful, secluded stay, and/or desiring to watch incredible wildlife, come stay here! It was lovely and we plan to return at some point. 11/10

So peaceful and feels really remote without actually being too far out of town. Loved how private / tucked away it is and has the accommodations needed for a brief stay. Really unique spot I hope to return to one day!

This cabin is amazing! So cozy, very comfortable, super cute, really well-equipped, and has the BEST sunrise views. We had a lovely weekend and would return in a heartbeat. Hosts were great to communicate with and everything exceeded our expectations.

I loved the cabin. The sunrise from the deck was beautiful. Sunset was also lovely. Stars were amazing. I was warm with the wood stove. When I walked out the door the smell of juniper greeted me.

Awesome off grid tiny house with unbeatable views. I really don't want to leave a positive review, as I'd love to keep this place a secret, but must be honest...this place is really special!

I would have packed my things and moved-in permanently if I could have. This little haven was the PERFECT off-grid dojo for my road trip through the high desert. Beautiful sunrises into the bedroom windows paint the three sisters and Mt. Hood a soft pink to the west, while sunsets and stars show up literally on your front porch. Not to mention a view of Smith Rock to the southeast. Incredible.
While this spot is perfect for a private camp out getaway, it isn’t for the faint-hearted or high-maintenance traveler. With no power or running water, you need to show up prepared. A solar shower hookup on the deck is provided, but NOT the shower itself. Just a hook on the wall and a little shower nook. There IS, however, a propane barbecue provided, which was a fantastic surprise.
I would HIGHLY recommend this little cabin as a break from desert camping to anyone looking for a bed, a roof, and a table for a few nights. Private, quiet, and incredibly beautiful, I will 100% be returning to the Cabin on the Rim.

We loved this little slice of solitude! Grill worked perfect to make steak dinner while it snowed then enjoy sharing our meal while we watched the view of birds snagging a meal before the snow stuck. Not to mention, nobody close by and nothing stopped the stars from glowing at night! Definitely want to come back for an early summer enjoyment. Close to so many beautiful places to adventure! Place was clean and welcoming, host was quick to respond and kind. Highly recommended!

We had the most picture perfect stay at the cabin on the rim! The view is spectacular and private, the cabin was cozy, the bed was clean and comfortable, and the hosts are the absolute nicest people. We had an accident where we left a light on in the car overnight and killed the battery (was tired after the long drive and forgot to double check). The hosts came out to help jump the car and when it didn’t work the first time she called out her dad, a local rancher, who came and saved the day. Between the stunning landscape and the incredible kindness of the hosts, this place is 12/10 hands down my fav glamping spot I’ve ever stayed at!

I loved this cabin so much! I wish I could have spent more time there. It’s truly beautiful and peaceful. I was treated with waking up to snow while I was there and it was gorgeous. It was just me and my dog and we both enjoyed our time there so much. I will be coming back whenever possible!

Our stay at the Rim Cabin was an excellent, rejuvenating and grounding experience. The cabin's aesthetics are lovely, simple, and cozy. The spacious deck is amazing as is the surrounding terrain and view of the canyon. Nothing beats the night sky, quietness, and waking up to a flood of warm natural light through the various windows! It was the perfect glamping experience and we look forward to returning.
The hosts were communicative and accommodating for any questions/concerns that arose which was much appreciated!

Selfishly, I want to say this place was terrible so that no one books it because it is absolutely phenomenal, and I want to hoard it 😂 But I’ve already sent the link to three friends saying that they have to stay here. One of the prettiest places I’ve ever stayed.

I had a great time staying at this little cabin! The view was incredible and I was fortunate to have great weather for my trip. It was just my dog and me for this trip, but I do plan on coming back with my wife for a nice and quiet weekend. The bed was quite comfortable and the cabin was furnished with all the basic amenities. There was plenty of firewood for the stove and it was easy to use.
I did bring my own camping stove, cooking/dish ware, a pop up love seat, and 5 gallons of extra water. I live in Bend, so it was easy to over pack. The walk to the cabin from the parking wasn’t bad at all.
Definitely recommend for anyone looking for some peace and quiet.

What a beautiful spot. The cabin is perfectly simple, perched on the very edge of the Crooked River Canyon. So quiet. Beautiful sunsets. So many stars. Horses and deer to enjoy watching. We had a wonderful time. Wish we could’ve stayed longer!
