One of the largest undeveloped properties located directly on Puget Sound with more than 1 mile of shoreline, the park provides stunning views of the East Passage, Mount Rainier and the Cascade Mountains. The site had significance for early Native Americans and is referenced in a legend about Snake People who arrived from the mainland as part of war party. The park contains rare stands of Pacific Madrone, a salt marsh, eelgrass beds and significant fish and wildlife habitat for such species as great blue herons, bald eagles, kingfishers, chinook salmon, orca, and bull trout. Trail length within the park: 3 miles (plus .75 mile gravel maintenance road to the shoreline accessible to non-motorized vehicles only).

Not in the mood for a short hike to the River, cool off in the solar heated pool located near the trail head and house. POOL USE ONLY JULY,AUGUST,SEPTEMBER. River and Pool access is permitted 7:00 am - 8:00 pm. All of this is behind a locked gate just off the MT. Rainier scenic highway 706. Quiet time is 10pm The first entrance is where sites 6 and 7 are located. The second entrance is where sites 1-5 and the airbnb are located. Each site is clearly marked. Parking is permitted in front of each site. We provide a picnic table and trash bin at every site. No fires are allowed in individual sites but guest can congregate at the group fire pit that is located in the Middle of the field between campsite 3 and 4. We provide the firewood. The porta potty is located at the second driveway behind the privacy fence. Campers in site 6 and 7 can walk through the woods on maintained trails to access the porta potty or drive back out to the main driveway. The sites are large and spaced out. Also gas and groceries are close as well. Boat launch is about 1/2 a block easy access. There is talk about sites at the river, we have some in their premature stage. This is NOT offered through our Hip Camp site!!!!! There are reasons for this: When we initially opened, we allowed people to camp there through Hip Camp and I was getting low stars ratings because Entitled people thought for $28 bucks, they got the whole river to themselves and would fight with other campers. IT JUST GOT TO EXHAUSTING. In the coming years I’m going to try to set up some premium sites on the river and work super hard at getting amenities that will match that price. But for now, Enjoy Camp Hope and the river ACCESS too!! We are located on a very private property (the only houses you will see are across the inlet) surrounded by nature but only about 10 minutes from downtown Olympia and 5 minutes from I-5 and Lacey. The property is situated on the very south end of Henderson Inlet. We are on the tide flats so twice a day (at high tide) we have the opportunity to explore on the water in canoes and kayaks. The property is spread over 16 acres and is comprised of two large fields (one in front of our home and the other is a smaller meadow off to the side (hidden meadow) and forest land. There is tons of space for playing, exploring and tiring out your kids and pups! Wildlife is abound with eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, shore birds and a variety of forest birds make this place their home. We are also frequented by the local deer who wonder through and say hi. About the campground: The campground is located in the far northeast corner of the property on the edge of the forest and meadow. In the common areas you will find the porta potty, shower and sink. There is also a supply closet that has the yard games and extra supplies. There is a hot tub situated right on the edge of the forest with peek-a-boo views of the inlet. You will also find garbage and recycling bins. There are trails throughout the forest along the 600 feet of water (tide) front. Along the trails you will find several different benches, seats and swings to relax and enjoy nature from. There are also fairies and gnomes who have been sighted in the forest. If you look closely, you might spot one too! We ware, if you touch a fairy or gnome they do lose their magical powers so please respect the mystical creatures. 😊 The sites are about 500 feet from our house and offer great privacy. You may see us throughout the day and evening coming and going from the campground, working on the property or playing with the kids on the trails!

I live here with my partner Khohay who now takes care of his family farm which used to be his late aunts Soma Institute of Structural Integration School (now ran by his brother on Whidbey Island). https://www.soma-institute.org/ We are constantly doing projects around the property to restore, improve and preserve the beauty that it has to offer and would love to share it with other people as we go! ________________________ PET OWNERS PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING: Please declare any pets on the “Who’s Coming” page. We have noticed an influx of owners that do not let us know and show up with dogs as we need to go over additional information. There is no additional fee but since we have livestock roaming freely around the property, to ensure their safety, long leads are highly encouraged especially if dogs do not have exceptional training and recall. Thank you! AMENITIES/THINGS TO DO: -There is a communal bunkhouse on property available to guests with a flushable toilet and a hot water shower. It also includes a kitchenette and we welcome you to use any of the kitchen/cookware and appliances. Our 2 Frenchies also stay in this building but they love humans and all the attention you can give them! -There is an infrared sauna that can sit up to 3 people located next to the yurt accompanied by a cold plunge as an add-on. -You are welcome to wander around the entire property and grab fruit daily from the trees when in season or have us get you farm fresh eggs from the coop to eat for breakfast. -Say hello to the animals (sheep, goats, chickens, cats and dogs) or go for a walk/run around the countryside roads with walking/running/biking adventures available to you along the beautiful and paved Foothills Trail extending from Enumclaw to Puyallup. -Communal fire pit areas with picnic table and chairs available when fire ban is not in effect. We have a moveable metal one which we can transport to your camp spot if preferred. We sell a large milkcrate full of wood for $10 if needed.

Weekend Trip to The Hoopla

My group and I stayed in site 1. Carrie is sweet and they are so nice and helpful there. The site was large enough for 3 tents and our Truck with camper. They had a cool, fun atmosphere, hiking trails, access to the beach. The location was easy to find using Google Maps as well as Carrie's instructions. She came out to say hi when we arrived. Next time, I would stay in site 2, it is just a little bit bigger and slightly more private, but site 1 was still very nice and large. Getting to the beach is not hard, there is a bit of a steep grade at the end, but they have put in ropes to help with stability and it is not hard to get up and down from the beach at all, it is a typical nature path. If you have knee issues or general stability issues the use of hiking poles or a walking stick and good shoes is recommended. Overall, our stay was very nice, the camp is clean and the owners are very nice and helpful.

Jenel & Kohay's tiny home is an absolute gem. The place is private and has a variety of amenities for a very comfortable stay, including a kitchenette. It was lovely to wake up amongst the different farm animals and wildlife. Jenel and Kohay are so welcoming and accommodating and made us feel like we stayed with them not at their property, but at their home. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. We cant wait to return for round two. I can't recommend their place enough. Thanks again for everything!

This place was great! So much to see and explore. The outdoor kitchen area was well setup and stocked with everything you need to cook your meals. My kids loved the games and the big net, which they played on for hours. Overall I'd recommend it to other families for sure.

Weekend Trip to Hidden Meadow Retreat

As always, Jake and Molly are the perfect hosts and their campsite is immaculate. Tucked so close to I-5 with an easy route to the meadow, this will be my third visit and this time I brought my whole family! We rented out all five spots for the weekend and had such a fabulous time! My sister and brother-in-law loved the deck site with the power and water, my nephew and his wife took the stargazer tent, and we all rallied around in the middle of sites one through three. If I could stay here more than once a year, I definitely would! This place is just the best.

What an amazing spot to get away from the city, plenty of space to set up camp with friends, and have a 10/10 weekend. Don was an awesome host and great guy to chat with. Cool goats and especially cute baby goat named Nova. So many birds were around. The potable water nearby was useful and tasty. Nice hike around the property, nice spot near the lake, and was nice to be able to get firewood from the property. Would come back again! Thank you!!

Weekend Trip to Riverside Camping Near Mt Rainier

Tent camping at lot 9 was great! It was an RV spot, but it worked well having potable water and an outlet to charge our car. Had respectful neighbors and bathrooms and showers weren’t bad. Showers had hot water! Old Timey train was cool too, but I imagine it would get old after a couple days because it is loud. Campsite 9 and 8 are adjoined, but there is an ugly bright green shed in between the campsites that you don’t see in the website photos. And campsite 10, you are staring at a sea-train container. Would book campsite 8 if had to do it again.
