The site had significance for early Native Americans and is referenced in a legend about Snake People who arrived from the mainland as part of war party. The park contains rare stands of Pacific Madrone, a salt marsh, eelgrass beds and significant fish and wildlife habitat for such species as great blue herons, bald eagles, kingfishers, chinook salmon, orca, and bull trout. Trail length within the park: 3 miles (plus .75 mile gravel maintenance road to the shoreline accessible to non-motorized vehicles only).

Also gas and groceries are close as well. Boat launch is about 1/2 a block easy access. There is talk about sites at the river, we have some in their premature stage. This is NOT offered through our Hip Camp site!!!!! There are reasons for this: When we initially opened, we allowed people to camp there through Hip Camp and I was getting low stars ratings because Entitled people thought for $28 bucks, they got the whole river to themselves and would fight with other campers. IT JUST GOT TO EXHAUSTING. In the coming years I’m going to try to set up some premium sites on the river and work super hard at getting amenities that will match that price. But for now, Enjoy Camp Hope and the river ACCESS too!! We are located on a very private property (the only houses you will see are across the inlet) surrounded by nature but only about 10 minutes from downtown Olympia and 5 minutes from I-5 and Lacey. The property is situated on the very south end of Henderson Inlet. We are on the tide flats so twice a day (at high tide) we have the opportunity to explore on the water in canoes and kayaks. The property is spread over 16 acres and is comprised of two large fields (one in front of our home and the other is a smaller meadow off to the side (hidden meadow) and forest land. There is tons of space for playing, exploring and tiring out your kids and pups! Wildlife is abound with eagles, hawks, owls, falcons, shore birds and a variety of forest birds make this place their home. We are also frequented by the local deer who wonder through and say hi. About the campground: The campground is located in the far northeast corner of the property on the edge of the forest and meadow. In the common areas you will find the porta potty, shower and sink. There is also a supply closet that has the yard games and extra supplies. There is a hot tub situated right on the edge of the forest with peek-a-boo views of the inlet. You will also find garbage and recycling bins. There are trails throughout the forest along the 600 feet of water (tide) front. Along the trails you will find several different benches, seats and swings to relax and enjoy nature from. There are also fairies and gnomes who have been sighted in the forest. If you look closely, you might spot one too! We ware, if you touch a fairy or gnome they do lose their magical powers so please respect the mystical creatures. 😊 The sites are about 500 feet from our house and offer great privacy. You may see us throughout the day and evening coming and going from the campground, working on the property or playing with the kids on the trails!

Parking is permitted in front of each site. We provide a picnic table and trash bin at every site. No fires are allowed in individual sites but guest can congregate at the group fire pit that is located in the Middle of the field between campsite 3 and 4. We provide the firewood. The porta potty is located at the second driveway behind the privacy fence. Campers in site 6 and 7 can walk through the woods on maintained trails to access the porta potty or drive back out to the main driveway. The sites are large and spaced out. Wow! Such an amazing spot! We loved staying here. If you have kids under the age of 10, this place is pure play and magic! Gary has put a lot of thought and work into making this place a delight. Fairies and gnomes around every corner. Chickens, rabbits, garden, little walking trail. The kitchen is fantastic. Hot water showers are sublime! We will be back to rent the whole place out and bring other friends and their kiddos!

Jeff's camp sites are amazing! Site 1 is nestled right next to a pond with a lovely babbling brook. We saw a bunch of salamanders in the pond too! There were other campers near by, even a big group that had three sites, but we never had a problem with noise or anything like that. If we hadn't been able to see them, we wouldn't have even known they were there. The landscape is beautiful with a wonderful variety of trees and other plant life. Jeff stopped by, introduced himself and told us a bit about the work he's done and plans to do to improve the place. We had a great time here and will *definitely* stay again. Thank you so much Jeff!

spacious & private farm field site, blackberries in abundance, friendly sheep, cutest frenchies ever, warmly greeted and toured around by hosts - was a great place to land for the last night of our road trip. we recommend ear plugs tho, as we could hear neighbours havin' a time into the night and due to the nature of a field, sound carries far. the kitchen was fully stocked, hot showers, wifi- good value! thanks for having us :)

He is generous and helpful, with a useful camp kitchen and multiple hangout spaces. The site was perfect, there are a couple next to the creek, and other campers were quiet and unobtrusive. We’d definitely stay here again!

John has put a tremendous amount of time and effort into maintaining his land and providing an exceptional place to camp. He gave us a warm welcome, walked us through the campsites, showed us all of the facilities, including a lovely gallery and meditation space and cooking/dishwashing station. We had a wonderful time staying at the Enchanted Forest, and we cannot recommend John as a host highly enough!

The Magical school bus is an adventure you won't forget! Set on 20 acers of wooded forest. We have created a whimsical wonderland like no other. We think you'll fall in love with what we have created like so many other guests have. Our bus comes equipped with it's own kitchenette with cooking oils, spices, cook and serving wear, a very comfortable queen size bed plus much more, set in your own part of the forest.

We loved camping on Gary's property. Our 2 year old enjoyed the play ground, net, playing with the dogs and bunnies, and running around. This was a perfect spot for a family of 4 (2 adults, newborn and toddler). The kitchen was well stocked with supplies, clean bathroom, and shower had heated water. We plan to come back again this summer and highly recommend it to other families.

We absolutely loved camping here. We could not find one negative thing to put in this review. Had an absolute blast. From how scenic, to the nature sounds with the creek that runs through the property, to the birds and owls howling. It was exactly what we were looking for. Close to all the activities we wanted, paddle boarding the lakes, endless hiking trails and of course visiting Mt. Rainier! Fell asleep every night to the waterfall creek right next to our tent. We will be back at this location soon and this time around take the kids with us. Also met the owner Jeff, extremely nice guy and can tell he wants the best experience for the people staying there.. you can tell he has put a lot of work into the campground and excited for his future plans. 10/10, 5 stars all the way! Thanks for having us!

The farm is beautiful and the campspots are large, cozy, and private nestled in a blackberry grove. The bunkhouse is open to all - with a lovely bathroom, shower and kitchen - two adorable french-bulldogs to welcome you, and fresh eggs and peaches from the farm!

Beautiful campground right outside of town. Wanted to stay near the fairgrounds so we could go to the rodeo. Camp was clean and well kept. Down sides were communication and bathrooms. When we arrived there was alot of confusion about where to park and what campsite was ours. Would have been nice to have a campsite map with parking and bathrooms marked emailed at booking so we could just pull in and start setting up our tent. Bathroom was just a single old wooden outhouse. Im personally fine with that or just doing my business in the woods but if we knew it was just going to be the outhouse and no running water we would have booked elsewhere being that we had a todler with us Not sure if I missed something in the fine print here. Campground operators were very friendly and helpful.

The property that the site sits on is amazing. So many incredible views, including a view of the capital building. Green table is the biggest site and Pink table has the best view which is where I'll mostly like camp next time. The well water is delicious! It's so close to the free way and also to stores.

This hammock is set up close to a drop. It's above the creek that flows through so you can relax and just listen to the water below.

Jarrett has a little piece of heaven here!! Very rustic but that’s what is so amazing about this property. I was fortunate to have it to myself for 1 nights. Hard to believe it’s so close to Seattle. You feel completely free in nature with the comfort of a porta potty for that after coffee relief. I will return. Do all the things!!
