Escape the Crowds at Erosia Land Sanctuary - Book Now! Potential federal forest camp closures this coming season mean booking early is key! Discover Erosia's 13 wooded acres, featuring the incredible Blessing Tree ("Ambrosia of Erosia"), a big leaf maple with a woman's figure in its trunk. Explore our walkable 45-ft memorial labyrinth (you can add a personalized brick- ask hosts if interested). Adventure Hub: Ocean Shores (1 hr): Beaches, kites, fishing. Lake Cushman/Staircase (1 hr): Old growth, hiking, swimming. Olympia (30 min): Food, museums, markets. Tacoma (1 hr); Seattle (1.5 hr); Portland (2 hr). **CENTRALLY LOCATED** for Western WA day trips! **Important Notes:** NO potable water onsite - pack all you need. Swimming hole/YMCA are close for bathing needs. ADA porta-potty available. Fire pits at each site. Ask about picnic tables/chairs- they are at most sites. Firewood available for a nightly fee. Hosts Karl and Sarah (Rare Earth Designs - spiritual wood gifts) live on-site in the 5th wheel trailer in the main meadow if you need assistance. Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere while they build their permanent home and shop, living now out of temporary buildings. Donations over $50 to the non-profit labyrinth run by Sarah and Karl's WA nonprofit organization "Erosia Land Sanctuary" receive a memorial brick. This site is just down from the Dionysian path off the driveway. It has it's own parking spot adjacent to the site. There is a terrace with a small picnic table and benches, a couple chairs and a fire pit. The tent pad is big enough for a large tent or two small tents. It is very closed in and private. Enjoy this magical wooded area at the base of a maple tree that looks like a dancing Goddess!

Erosia Community Camp Site 1

Stay with your community or meet some of ours by booking this Community Camp Site. This site is at the southern part of our property and you can drive right up to it and park up to 4 cars, however each pad gets only 1 parking spot, unless you've checked in with us requesting 2 cars for the one pad you are renting and we've saved that 4th spot for you. This is our biggest group camping spot, with 3 pads for tents, which are rented out by the pad. It has no stairs or steps, but does have a gravel road and path. It is basically a long open area consisting of 3 pads that step down from each other about a foot and half down. The first area is where the picnic table and fire pit is located. Then the tent pads go down numbered 1, 2 and 3 with site 1 being the closest to the road and 3 being the farthest away. This part of our camp is not set up for car camping (camping out the back or around your car) as the parking spots do not have enough room for that. If coming as a group it might work, if you are booking the whole 3 pads on this site. Contact us if you have questions. This site is site 1 and is the FIRST PAD, the closest to the parking and communal fire pit/picnic area. This site is it's one of our sunnier spots as the trees are thinned out in that area of the Land Sanctuary, so it will also be very good for stargazing. It's still very sheltered and private with thick vegetation around it. Please note- all three pads share a fire pit and picnic table (once they are built- until then we have tables and chairs we can lend if you need). This is a great place for multiple families to come together and camp or to be open to meet someone and share a fire and stories. Each pad has 1 of the 4 parking spots available for the Community Camp sites. If you need that extra parking spot please let us know soon to save it for you, it is first come, first served. Additional parking may be available, but not right at the site.

Dionysus Site 1

Pitch your tent in one of two sites off to the east of the property close to where you will park. Enjoy the wind in the trees on a completely wooded site. Both sites on this short trail have a fire pit. Enjoy a small picnic table with benches. Site 1 (the first one you come to) already has 2 chairs by the fire pit. Site 2 is the last site on that trail, so is the most private of the 2. The parking spot that is closest to this site (just across the road from the trail) is "first come, first served". Please make sure to park so that others may pass the car on the driveway. The other parking spots for this site are by the port-a-potty. This part of our camp is not set up for car camping (camping out the back or around your car) as the parking spots do not have enough room for that. Contact us if you have questions.

Pitch your tent in one of two sites off to the east of the property close to where you will park. Enjoy the wind in the trees on a completely wooded site. Really enjoyed staying at the Land Sanctuary of Erosia with its quiet, secluded sites and plentiful firewood. We had one issue with another camper occupying our site when we arrived but the host was quick to provide a pleasing solution. I would go back again in the future and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends.

We absolutely loved staying at this campsite. It was private, peaceful, and close enough to everything we wanted to do. The campsite itself is STUNNING and the lack of light pollution made for some great stargazing as well. I totally recommend this place!

We felt like we'd found a little hidden secret. Sarah's campsite is extremely private. Even though there were other campers we felt completely secluded. It is a stunning 10 minute drive to Shelton The firewood was plentiful. The sites are quite small. We had a 6 person tent that just fit the site.

Sarah's land was perfect for what I needed. A nice clean campsite. Little cute picnic table, chairs and a flat ground. Couldn't ask for more! She also gave me some excellent recommendations for local places to go explore. Quick to get back to me on any questions or requests!

Tent camping was great. This spot was very private. We didn’t see anyone else the whole time. Enough flat room for 2 tents. Very convenient location only 10 minutes from town. Beautifully surrounded by trees and views of the stars

We loved the beautiful site called Dancing Tree. It felt very peaceful and was well taken care of. Perfect for tent camping with a very level tent pad. At all the sites that we saw there was an intentionally beautifully level place for tent camping in this very sweet natural environment. Labyrinth and Goddess Tree are special features at this land sanctuary saved and protected by the owners. The hosts, Sarah and Karl were both lovely people and were flexible with us when our plans had to change.

A beautiful and peaceful experience

What a wonderfully magical place. I loved walking the property, visiting with the Goddess Tree, strolling the labyrinth, and taking in the sky view and circling golden eagle from the stargazer spot. The hosts were kind and left me to myself when I mentioned that I was there for 'alone time.' I would definitely come here again.

Camping here was wonderful. We showed up quite late but the host still came out to greet us and make sure we were settled okay. Had a nice, private campsite with a stunning view of the stars. Host also invited us to stroll the property the next day, which we took full advantage of. Really loved every bit of it. You can tell they truly care about their property and making sure people feel welcome.
