Private property along the Quinault River between NFS land and Olympic National Park, adjacent to Colonel Bob Wilderness and just past The Quinault Nation reservation.  Homesteaders came here in 1890, prior to that there was no human habitation. A perfect base camp to explore the many varied facets of the West side of the Olympic Peninsula. The campsites are on acreage of a very small off-grid farm. Relax and forget the stress. We offer both tent and RV campsites. Toilets are available, as well as trash bins, potable water, and picnic tables. We do not allow pets. Guests love staying here: "This spot was everything we were hoping for and more! Awesome location near everything in Quinault. Received a fun, short tour of the property from our hosts who are incredibly nice.  The campsite was tidy and exactly what we imagined. Plenty of room between us and our neighbors, and we barely knew that they were there. The outhouse is basic but clean and charming. Imagine the friendliness of staying at a distant cousin's organic farm, with the facilities of a top-notch campsite. Only regret was that we were crashing there quickly, and weren't able to stay longer and relax on-site. If the description on the website seems like what you're looking for, I would highly recommend this location."

Sitka
This was such a beautiful and serene property! Paul met us right when we came in, had thorough and easy directions to follow, and a nice clean and sustainable off grid property. He gave us a tour of the entire space, some suggestions, and showed us how to use everything. With all the rain and cold the standalone kitchen was a wonderful spot, the bathroom was clean, and the tent sites are laid out really nicely. I would love to come back during a bit more dry or light shower season and would absolutely recommend this place.

Double site
Paul was a great host! We arrived later in the evening. He still came out to meet us and show us our site, as well as the various public buildings. The next morning, we asked Paul about his garden and use of solar / propane power (property is off grid). He gave us a tour and discussed how he set up his systems. Paul is a great example of what can be done, if we learn and put forth the effort. We stayed at double site. We each had our own tent space. Fire ring was perfect. With an almost full moon and stars galore above us, we couldn’t have been at a better camp site! We know where we’ll be staying next time we’re out this way…at Paul’s place!!

Great spot by Lake Quinalt! Easy to find and nice and quiet for a night’s stay with plenty of space to stay longer.

Mountain rainforest campsite # 1
Paul and the campsite were great! We were greeted upon arrival and shown around. We were also checked on later in the night to make sure we were all good. A great place to stay if you’re in the area!

So fun!
Paul was an excellent host! His property was unique and very accommodating. We loved seeing the chickens and cat along with his garden! He gave us a great tour upon arrival and made sure we had plenty of water. I would definitely recommend this site!!
