We loved camping out here. We got welcomed at our campsite and got all our questions answered. There was enough space between campsites that we never had a problem with noise. Big spaces on each campsite.

Site 6 - Hoh River Campsites

This was a cute spot nice a well maintained. Very friendly host guest. Make sure come prepared because the nearest anything is 30min out we had to get ice.

This was an incredible camp ground! Specially for a group camping trip. The sites well spaced and probably the best maintained campsite I’ve ever been to! It was peaceful and the directions were clear. However there were some people there that had a generator going 24 hours a day which made it really noisy even after quiet hours so couldn’t enjoy the nature noises as much. But once they left it was great!

If you want a peaceful, secure, spacious campsite with considerate hosts, book your stay here. Our children loved the walk to the maple grove and the river. The stars were incredible. We’ll definitely stay here again!

Site 6 - Hoh River Campsites

This was our second time staying at this Hip Camp, and I'm sure we will stay again. Everything is so well cared for, clean, and beautiful. Having the beautiful river just a short walk away is such an amazing bonus. And, the location is perfect for day trips to beaches or to hiking trails in the area. I love this place!

We went off season so there was only one other camper (site 1) far from us. Very serene. It’s safe since the camp is gated. Very clean and level sites. The walk to the Hoh River was quaint and once you got there, WOW! So cool! Maggie the Host was very quick to communicate back to me with my various questions. Outhouse was super clean and convenient. You only have one other campsite to share it with. I’d highly recommend this HipCamp. Close to many beaches. Overall, a fantastic place!

Excellent communication, beautiful land meticulously managed and a warm welcome upon arrival. I stayed in site 7 which was private and very quiet. I saw elk on my first drive off the property! Maggie and Dan's land is a perfect landing pad for exploring the area. It would also be the perfect place to sit by the river and have a fire. It was a little too chilly and windy when I was there in April, but goodness it could be a lot of summer fun!

Site 8 - Hoh River Campsites

Large campsites with plenty of level surface area for setting up tents or vehicle camping. Each campsite is unique and surrounded by trees and beautiful scenery and sounds. For site 4, you have a nice level gravel area to setup camp and also a large grass field, which is perfect for the kids. There's also a beautiful river rock fire pit and picnic bench nestled in the back corner of the site with a path leading to it. There are plenty of trails on the property to explore and many nearby by. The hosts are incredible, and the location is perfect for exploring along the olympic coast and hoh rain forest area. We come every year and it's one of our all time favorite places to camp.

We had a great time camping at site 8 with our toddler. It was secluded, quiet, and had lots of space for our son and dog to play. This might be our favorite site at this campground. Maggie is a great host and was very helpful. Being able to buy firewood at the campsite is super convenient!

I loved tent camping at Dan and Maggie's campgrounds. We loved how secluded it was and how close it was to the river. Maggie was super friendly, accommodating, and would always respond if I had any questions. Defiantly will be back!

These sites are great! they're large with plenty of flat space to find a spot for your tent/Rv/Camper van. We ordered wood and it was at the campsite when we showed up. There was good privacy between sites and a short walk to the rocky river spot or sweet forest paths. Our site had a built in compost toilet. We came on a hot weekend and the toilet was no immune to smells and flies, but it was nice to have when we needed it. We had a visit from an owl, bunnies, and a cool toad. Highly recommend this campsite!

Fairytale getaway

This was our first experience with HipCamp and we absolutely loved it! The site was very beautiful and private, and the port-a-potties were super clean and close by. We loved swimming in the river, and exploring the many nearby beaches (Ruby Beach, Kalaloch…). Would highly recommend Dan & Maggie’s land to anyone wanting to explore Olympic National Park!

Quiet retreat in the alders

Site 6 - Hoh River Campsites

Such a restful, quiet, safe, and perfect retreat camped out in the trees! Lots of space between (big, easy to park a trailer) camp sites and the grounds are SO well maintained. Maggie and Dan were available quickly for any questions and obviously care a ton about their property and the guest experience. We stayed five fabulous days and will absolutely be back. We stuffed ourselves with blackberries, watched bunnies do the same, and walked down to the river. It's also a great central location to explore. Off the property, it was a quick drive to Ruby Beach/Kalaloch and Beaches 1-4 and about 45 min to the Hoh Rainforest. Overall, 5/5 stars and one of my fav campsites ever.

Lovely, private, quiet spot

Quiet and private spot. Nice to have clean port-a-potties. Short bike ride or a little longer walk to the beautiful Hoh river access point on the property. Hosts very nice and gave us tips about the best water and dump site options nearby for our camper. Dropped off some firewood for us. We were there 5 nights and used it as a jumping off point to Ruby Beach, Kalaloch lodge, Hoh rainforest, and Rialto beach (1hr north). We saw elk on the access road to the property!

As always, Dan and Maggie are excellent hosts with a beautiful place in the Hoh Rainforest. And boy, did it rain this time. Yet we still enjoyed our stay, finding time to visit Kalaloch beach between (most) of the raindrops. We’ll be back again next year.

A wonderful dilemma

Our camping experiences here are always fantastic! This is our fourth stay, and we're excited for many more to come. The property itself has plenty to offer for a full trip, but with so much to explore in the surrounding area, it's always a tough decision on how to spend our time. We consider it a wonderful dilemma!
