This charming beach town welcomes you with miles of soft sandy shores, where the Pacific Ocean sparkles on one side and peaceful Grays Harbor rests on the other. Tucked away on a spacious, tree-lined property, our large private camping area gives you total freedom and seclusion. You’ll have the entire serene space to share with family and friends — no crowded campsites, no “quiet hours,” and no rules holding you back from making memories under the stars. Picture gathering around a crackling fire, kids and dogs running freely through the open grassy areas, and everyone soaking in the fresh ocean air. Leash-free pups are welcome to explore and play to their hearts’ content. Just a pleasant 10-minute walk through rolling dunes leads you straight to the beach for kite flying, beachcombing, picnic lunches, and those magical Pacific Northwest sunsets that light up the sky in brilliant colors. Note for winter and spring (November–May): The dune trail can get muddy or wet, so rubber boots or waders are recommended. You can also drive to public beach access in just a few minutes from town. Another lovely stay here! The wind gave us a break for once, and the sun was out in all its glory. Only a few puddles left on the trail to the beach, but I was still glad to be wearing hiking boots. More mosquitoes than in the fall, so I was glad for all the deet!

We just stayed here and we want to book every year now. We camp many times a year all over this has been the best site we've stayed at as far as privacy. It's a huge spot too and such a great path to the beach. Our dogs absolutely loved it.

Lots of space for multiple tents and canopys! The port-a-potty was freshly serviced and clean. You have your privacy and can hear the ocean from the campsite. It was noce not having to worry about being too loud around the campfire at night, especially since we were night owls. Overall we had a great experience and would love to come again!

We had some miscommunication with the gate combination late at night when we arrived. The area this campsite is in is beautiful and the location seems very private. Hopefully, we get to come back and experience it, next time.

This was an excellent spot that was nice a private but still close to town! We were able to talk to the beach using the trail, but needed our rubber boots to get through the flooded spots. The only issue we had was with the gate lock. It got jammed pretty bad a few times and was difficult to lock/unlock even with the correct code.

When we first pulled into the private driveway, we were greeted by 3 deer that were so tame and friendly. such a secluded peaceful spot. perfect private trail leading right to the beach. as of may 20th there were still some puddle on the trail but totally walkable/bikeable. our dog loved being free around the site and on the beach. the fire out is perfect not too small. porter potty was clean and well maintained, a great delicacy for being out in the nature. so much room to bring others whether you have a big toy hauler or a little tent. be prepared and bring bug spray/repellent torches. they sell pet friendly bug spray at the pharmacy! We loved the stay and will most certainly be coming back and recommending it to others

Great location, dogs loved roaming free. Very clean. Tip: Make sure you request a gate lock code. Drive in past gate has some low hanging shrubs/trees, if traveling with something bigger than 30 ft trailer, be careful.

Great spot! Brought our 3 dogs out and they had a blast running around. Would definitely come back with friends! Lots of space and private feel. Very convenient location quick drive to dog beach, restaurants and grocery store though!

I have mixed feelings because we had a great time at this location and would come back- during different months. I booked this location because of the beach access and trial to the beach, which says rubber boots are advised Nov-May. I thought it sounded like the trail was still walkable with rubber mud boots in some areas- in reality it’s LONG stretches of wetlands that would keep some people from reaching the beach. I’m lucky that I happened to ask about boots the week before and learned I needed waders or to drive to get access. We managed to change our plans, drive two vehicles instead of just the rv and brought waders and paddle boards- but I’d have wanted to know this information before I booked since showing up without being prepared would have been heartbreaking for this trip. The water during our trip got as deep as knee/thigh high in some areas. I did talk to the host about updating this description so it’s more clear that the trail is seasonal access for others planning to go. Otherwise the site was as described and lovely! We had a great trip! It’s very private and feels safe.

Great spot, very private. It is bigger than we though it might be, we were able to get 6 RVs is there, a little cozy, but it worked great! We went in the spring, so the trail to the beach was flooded, but the public beach access is very close. The host was very nice, and quick to respond as well. Great trip, and a great spot! We would come back for sure!

A beautiful private spot with room for the pups to roam free. Nice to have the porta potty, table, chairs and fire ring. The ten minute trail to the beach is well maintained. The beach is beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

This camp was great! It was very private, the dogs could be off leash which is a game changer for us( my dog won’t poop on leash) it’s a short walk to the beautiful beach and you can listen to the waves from camp

We absolutely love this site and have been back many times so that it now feels like home! It’s a huge site that will easily accommodate several tents and rec vehicles and we usually use it with several other family members who join from around the state. It has a beautiful little path to the beach where we post up, fly kites, surf fish, and generally soak up the sound of the sea and the sunshine. It has a fire pit and a porta potty. We usually spend a day in town as well doing go-carts, ice cream, and finding razor clam chowder. We always have an amazing time when we visit.

It was a great trip i would recommend it to anyone looking to take a tent or an RV. Directions were easy to follow, it was a quick trip to the beach, and then theres the rest of Ocean Shores to explore. Loved it the kids loved it, guarantee youll love it too. The road going down to the site was welcoming everybody waved and was nice. Happy camping everyone. Thank you Suzanne for allowing us to camp at the Coastal Family Hideaway!

Had such an amazing time we had to stay an extra day! Site is very private and quiet, trail to the beach very peaceful and lovely to hear the ocean at all times. The trail was slightly mucky in some areas but no issue getting through in hiking boots. Definitely recommend and will be staying again in the future! Thank you!
