Home to approximately twenty full-time residents, the Grove is rooted in a vision of connection, nature, healing, and building intentional spaces that support authentic living. Guest accommodations include five cozy yurts and one spacious 16’ bell tent campsite, all tucked among cedar groves, ferns, and peaceful forest trails. Whether you’re seeking a solo reset, a romantic woodland escape, creative inspiration, or a unique stay immersed in nature, the Grove invites you to slow down and reconnect. Your tent site has territorial views of South Prairie. Owners live on the property about a quarter mile away from the tent site, where you will find a communal kitchen and bathroom available for use. Welcome to our community! Our goal is to create a beautiful, fun, and relaxing environment for our visitors, friends and community members. We are actively working towards enhancing our camping, yurt and event hosting experiences. One of our main goals is to create a space that is inviting to all, where people get the opportunity to connect with others in a serene and playful nature space. This was the cleanest, most balanced and beautiful crunchy camping retreat I've been to. Attention to detail is spot on, the bathrooms are beautiful and equipped with modern fixtures (even on some of the outdoor showers!) the hot water gets HOT! The community members are super chill, very friendly, available and promptly responsive as needed. The grounds are clean and the vibe feels wholesome.

The place was great. I loved the community space. Sadly wasn't as peaceful with 2 staff in the community center sharing her health problems and another guest stated she was moved multiple times and not treated well. As an anti drama person there to relax and work it was nicer to sit outside in the rain under a tarp. Hopefully staff can understand guests are there to relax and not deal with drama.

An incredible stay! Our yurt was so cozy and warm despite the 26° lows! The community space was like an oasis after a week of backpacking, and the cedar hot tub was just icing on top of the whole experience. I could not recommend this spot more.

We had a wonderful stay, sad we didn't get a longer visit. There is tons of places to explore and we would definitely love to come back. The folks were helpful, kind and welcoming. Definitely has a family friendly welcome. The yurt was warm even though it was pouring all night long. First night we left heat on low, second night we left it off. They have probably one of the most well appointed kitchens we have ever seen, big and roomy. There are games and books and seating. Big family style table for games and dining. Like home away from home with loads of hiking trails near by. We brought our dogs and they had a blast. Next time we come to visit I wont be in class all day. We cannot say enough about how beautiful it is in camp and the surrounding area. 100% recommend!

It's a very quiet getaway, but close enough to the city. The professional and friendly staff make it feel at home. The community house is stocked full of pots and pans and other baking utensils to virtually make anything you may be craving to make. I would definitely stay here again if needing a weekend getaway to destress myself.

The views are vibe here are awesome. We stayed in camping spot #1 with our VW bus. The community room/kitchen is gorgeous and nicer than my kitchen at home lol. Check-in was effortless. Compost toilets don't smell at all and there are many nice touches all around. The outdoor showers were a highlight. Very hot water also. Would definitely come back and I highly recommend this place!

Gaia Yurt and Cedar Hot Tub
This is my favorite getaway place. It's simple and gracious, a beautiful setting for a peaceful retreat or rest. It isn't too far from Mount Rainier and other good hiking areas, but right now, unfortunately, the primary road down to Rainier is closed because of a bridge problem and another road that would have gone to alternative areas was also closed from a bridge problem, so I do recommend checking road access to special places before you go. Note, this is August 2025, so hopefully the roads will be reopened before too long. Nevertheless, this is a truly amazing place. I love the yurts, the giant maples and the meadows. There's also a community house with a kitchen that is incredibly well stocked and a lovely community living room there also very gracious. There's a cedar hot tub on the deck, which is quite lovely. They've upgraded now and have compostable toilets and hand washing stations. Another note, there is no electricity in the yurts, and while they provide simple lanterns. Next time, I will for sure bring a larger battery and electric lamp. for when I need more light and to charge up my phone. There is a charging station in the community house,.

A really special place! We loved our conversation with two of the long-term residents. Very communal, natural feel. Everything was labeled, clean, and well-stocked, and our yurt bed was extremely comfortable, too. Easy gravel driveway.

Excellent stay. Kitchen was kept very clean and provided a great place to share a meal with friends after “roughing it” in the woods for a few days. Special shoutout to Taylor. Really nice guy whom welcomed us with open arms and shared some insight on Olympic National Park which was our next destination. Warm showers, beautiful grounds, friendly hosts. Book it.

The sites were a lil close together but the yurt was adorable and cozy. It did get a little warm but felt really nice on the colder nights. The owners were doing renovations so was a bit loud during the afternoon but once construction stopped it was very peacefull. The kitchen had everything you could ever need and the hot tub was super relaxing, especially after all dat hiking. I loved the vibes of the owners and the property. Very romantic!
