Deer & elk walk through the property on a fairly regular basis depending on the season, it's less than a mile walk (or short drive) to the Wind River with a swimming hole, & a short distance further to the Pacific Crest Trail. A 20-minute drive & you're at the Columbia River. An hour to the West is Portland if you are in the mood for some city life, & 35 minutes east is Hood River, a gorgeous old town with tons of charm. The closest town, Stevenson, Washington is home to shops, local restaurants, & access to the Columbia River. Also in close proximity are amazing waterfalls, trails, & National Forest roads that are close by & well maintained. No matter the season there is something to do a short distance from the property. The Cove is located between the two small towns of Quilcene and Brinnon, nestled along a scenic stretch of Highway 101 that hugs the shoreline of the great fjord, Hood Canal, at the eastern edge of the Olympic Mountains. Weekend Trip to John Wayne's Waterfront Resort

We camped at John Wayne's Waterfront RV Resort with our truck popup camper and tent in their overflow primitive site D. It was a lovely location in the park, on grass and near woods and you could hear a creek. The bathrooms were clean and we had good showers. Adorable bunnies hop about the park, fun to watch. Tracy and her team were friendly and welcoming. We had an awesome meal at the Dockside Grill in the Marina across the road.

We enjoyed our stay and super convenient location for our bikr riding on the Olympic discovery trail. Very clean , great options for camping and nice bathroom facilities. Easy check in and out. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The rabbits were entertaining and it was neat to enjoy some fresh berries and peaa from the garden. Thank you!!!

Tent camping here was great! There was plenty of communication and she was available for questions. Our site had plenty of room to have space from others but still were close to the amenities (shower, toilets - just portapots but very clean, and fire). The site was no more than 15 minutes from everywhere we wanted to go on the lake, and relatively close to plenty of hikes.

I absolutely loved it here. The sites are big and the host Teresa is so friendly & had lots of great insight about the area. The shower is fantastic, not very often I find one with good water pressure and super hot just how I like my showers. The only downside was the firepit, and having to lug everything up to the community area every night to have a fire. Still not a deal breaker though, we'll be back. 5 STARS💫💫💫💫💫

Waterfall Sanctuary is a magical paradise. Tyla is fantastic host. The property has chickens, goats and ducks. There is a trail that loops around the property. I stayed in the Stargazer tent. Laying in bed and watching the stars was one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. I would definitely recommend this campground and hoping to go back soon.

Ben’s Ridge at Big Twin Lakes Resort is a huge camping spot overlooking the resort. Great view of the lake and hills. Full sky view so perfect for Starlink. Clean bathroom with shower, and ice for sale at the check-in booth. Great spot for our Sprinter van.

Camping here was amazing! Teresa was amazing. She was so kind and helpful when we had questions. The new shower is fantastic and so nice after a long day at the lake. There were barely any mosquitoes which was a great perk. We are definitely going back soon!

We had a lovely stay the Waterfall Sanctuary. We love to camp but had flown into the PNW so didn’t have all our gear. Glamping at the waterfall sanctuary was the perfect camping solution. The Bloom Cafe has all kinds of snacks, drinks, treats, ice, and even “just add water” meals. You could show up with no food and buy what you need there if you wanted. We enjoyed using the grill to cook though. Tyla is a great resource for things to do in the area: hikes, swimming holes, scenic drives, restaurants, etc.

Weekend Trip to The Khohay Farm

Jenel & Kohay's tiny home is an absolute gem. The place is private and has a variety of amenities for a very comfortable stay, including a kitchenette. It was lovely to wake up amongst the different farm animals and wildlife. Jenel and Kohay are so welcoming and accommodating and made us feel like we stayed with them not at their property, but at their home. We arrived as strangers and left as friends. We cant wait to return for round two. I can't recommend their place enough. Thanks again for everything!
