Amy is a 10 star host! My daughter and I had a wonderful weekend at Amy's cabin. Amy has created a charming cabin in a lovely serene setting on her property. The bed was oh so comfortable and warm cozy blankets were available for the cool of the summer mountain evening! The amenities were great with a shower (A+water pressure), indoor flush toilet, coffee maker, and frig/freezer. Amy, Thank you for preserving a small piece of the past with this little cabin and sharing it with us!

A very comfortable stay, with thoughtful amenities provided. A hot shower, fridge, and bathroom are provided in a separate building close to the cabin.
We tried Mt. Adam’s pizza and loved it!We paid for wood and it was provided. Water is available, bring a water jug to fill up.
Amy, the host answered any questions we had. The WiFi is pretty spotty, but there is service closer to the bathroom.
The view of Mt. Adam’s is spectacular!

Little Mountain Cabin
We were on a roadtrip and this little cabin was the perfect stop! We had a campfire, lovely views, a propane stove for food, and a very comfortable bed. We even spotted a calf and his mom spying at us from behind the cabin (there is some agricultural land around the property). A very lovely stay!

My dog Helen and I had a wonderful getaway at Amy's Hipcamp cabin! The property is remote enough to unwind, yet close enough to grab a delicious burger and fries a few miles away. The Trout lake hike is nearby and a lovely hike.
The cabin is fantastic! So cozy, especially with the gas stove. Amy thoughtfully provides an array of items that guests may need in the cabin and kitchen/bathroom area. The bed, pillows and bedding were extremely comfortable, which is not always the case with rentals. I made a fire in the fire pit and read for hours until the sun went down... so relaxing! We were visited by two deer, a family of cows, lots of birds, and a sky full of stars.
When we awoke in the morning we were greeted by a GORGEOUS view of Mt. Adams that was obscured by clouds the previous day- WOW.
I highly recommend staying at Little Mountain cabin- I am already looking forward to another stay, perhaps in the winter (according to the guest book comments it is especially dreamy in the snow).

Amy’s place was so great! So many things to do around Trout Lake. I’m a hiker so I was in heaven!
The place is clean, the bed is super comfy. We cooked outside with the Coleman stove and propane supplied by Amy. There a fridge, coffeee maker , bathroom with a shower in the next building over. So nice to have that.
Definitely one of the best hip camps I’ve been to.
Love that it is dog friendly!

I loved staying at Amy’s site! The DNR cabin looks exactly like the photos and the directions were clear. There isn’t electricity or running water but there is a porta potty and camping lights to make sure everything was well lit. I went in the winter and the cabin stayed nice and warm. Amazing views of Mt. Adams and well with the stay.

I have always stayed in cabins IN the woods, this cabin is out in the SUN! If you need some sunshine, come here (when it's sunny). Snow, blue skies, SO many stars, fire pit for hot dogs and contemplating life. Just a few minutes from Trout Lake for any needed items, but be forewarned, Trout Lake businesses close down early at night (the one grocery, gas station, restaurant).
Kitchen/Bath house is warm & cozy, short walk from the cabin. Dishes are minimal, so bring plates/bowls/spoons if needed. We made do with a glass measuring cup and a fork for breakfast oatmeal in the microwave.
The low was 18 degrees, so we had the propane stove on the whole night. We woke up around 2am with a strong smell of chemical in the cabin. Within a few minutes, the Carbon Monoxide Detector beeped. We turned off the heat and slept cold for the rest of the night.
We didn't see any warnings about keeping the heater on all night, but it kinda freaked us out.
Cabin was clean and small and neat and perfect nonetheless.

Super cute little cabin! It snowed the entire time we were there, literally a dream. The bed is super comfy and stayed warm all night. Accommodated two people and two dogs just fine!

My absolute dream place to be snowed in!! While we didn't get to see Mt Adams or the stars, we were blessed with the most gorgeous winter wonderland in the most adorable and cozy little cabin!! We played uno by lantern light and taught each other new card games, wandered along the very quiet country roads, and overall just had a lovely, peaceful, romantic time.
Amy was so kind in helping us reignite the stove pilot after we managed to douse it, and all around communicative.

This cozy little cabin was perfect! Freezing temps of about 25° overnight but the fire outside and propane heater in the cabin kept us plenty warm. For an old retired fire-watch cabin, there was much more included in the stay than expected and the addition of bathroom/shower a short walk away was much appreciated! The host was very helpful and responded quickly to all questions I had.

What a delightful, cozy little cabin! I loved the thoughtful touches Amy added to both the cabin and kitchen/restroom area, and her personal recommendations for the area were absolute gems. We would definitely stay again!

Little Mountain Cabin
LOVED our stay at Amy's cabin. Exactly as described - super cute + cozy space. The bed was so so comfortable and we loved the little outdoor picnic area - as well as the full bath + kitchen right next door. Such a perfect area to explore Gifford Pinchot, as well as all the amazing restaurants super close by. Definitely hoping to come back for even longer next time. Thanks again, Amy!

Little Mountain Cabin
When wildfires destroyed our long-planned dark sky camping trip, and a last-minute back injury made things even less certain, Amy's cabin saved the day. We were able to get all the milky way images we could want, plus peace and quiet in a tent, plus a bed for our injured member. Showers and a flush toilet didn't hurt either.
And Amy is super helpful and friendly.

Cute cabin that really has everything you need. Right out front on the road is the best view of Mt Adams, which I loved taking a walk at sunset and watching the mountain change colors. There is plenty of land to park, hang out, let your dogs walk around. Overall, it is a great place and a historical piece of Washington.

We loved the coziness of the cabin and the beautiful views! It was so calm and peaceful and Amy was so great! She made sure we had everything we needed (especially a small fan because goodness it was hot!) and gave us suggestions on local hikes. It was a great weekend!

This little cabin was a delightful place to stay at the foot of Mt. Adams. Amy put so much thought into making sure guests had everything they needed to have a comfortable stay. She met us shortly after our arrival to be sure we were all set for our two night stay. She gave us great recommendations for daytime activities in the area (hike at Sleeping Beauty and venture out to Lake Takhlakh). She was even kind enough to allow us to stop by on our way back from hiking Mt Adams for one more shower even though our stay has ended. I’d recommend this cabin to any adventurers looking for a rustic but very well cared for cabin.
