Private, serene just off SR 2... 3 cabins and 2 RV's...these cabins are called Glamping cabins...that's glorified camping 🏕️ all surrounded by gorgeous mountain views and located along the north side of the Southfork Skykomish River. Most sites offer views of the river, with some looking through the trees and others enjoying wide-open vistas. Porta potties, communal kitchen and fire pits. 🔥Dish and hand washing stations and The RV's have indoor bathrooms with running water 💦 no showers. 🚿 all cabins are BYO Bedding and they all have a queen size bed. Best for 2 people but some units have room for one or two more depending on if you bring sleeping mats. ( we can provide blow up mattress or pad and bedding/sleeping bags for extra fee) All units are about 100 ft apart with nice privacy. The Toy Hauler is close to the Chalet Cabin... and that unit is only available if The Chalet guests want more room or the nice bathroom . 🏕️ .., and some sites also feature private fire pits. 🏕️🔥 A few guests have commented on possibly encountering a cobweb or a critter 🍁🏕️we live in nature along with these critters... yes we have squirrels we also have a cat that takes care of the the smaller critters 😅🎃 Easy short trail down to river access. Fire pits and covered seating area by river also. 🔥 Only the Cedar RV the Naughty Pine Chalet and Toy Hauler have heat. Das Treehaus and A-Frame are not insulated but are still cozy 🍁 Located near a variety of outdoor activities, the property is just 1 mile from the town of Index and a 5-minute walk to the Mt. Index Sandbar Tavern 🍺, which is dog- and kid-friendly. It's also very close to the trailhead for Lake Serene and bridal Val Falls. Hoping for a good ski season this year we are about a half hour from Stevens Pass ⛷️

The yurt began as a rustic structure utilizing lumber from trees selectively harvested to protect the health of the forest. But, the more Roy worked on the Yurt the more it spoke to him letting him know how to proceed and what it should become -- resulting in this phenomenally peaceful and stress-free wilderness sanctuary where the sun, the moon and the stars wink at you through the gentle undulations of the 100-year-old Douglas Firs Trees or through the ambient ether of the adjoining meadows. Our property is located 1hr and 30 minutes from Mt Hood in Oregon. We are located in White Salmon, Washington. There are enough things to do in White Salmon, including hiking trails, biking trails, white water rafting, waterfalls, and paddling spots to keep you entertained for a weekend, week, or lifetime! NOTE: While we do accept Instant Bookings for both our Tree House and Yurt there may very rarely be a conflict with a booking received earlier from another site when the HipCamp calendar has not been updated to reflect that booking. We can't wait for you to experience this tiny house in the woods. Check back weekly to see our progress photos! We call this a treehouse but it's technically supported by posts (nicer to the trees). There is a fullsize high end queen memory foam bed on the upper floor. Yes, this is a 2 story treehouse! On the second floor there is also a children's sleeping loft which overlooks the rest of the bedroom. This loft is suitable for a small child or 2 but headroom is only a few feet. We found it also requires some youthfull agility to get up there. A beautiful knotty alder slidding barn door leads from the bedroom to a private bathroom with pedestal sink and odorless composting toilet. There is a small kitchen with a coffee maker, mini fridge, induction cooktop, mini crockpot, and enough dishes and glasses to enjoy a simple meal or drink. Water pressure in the kitchen and throughout is good! There is a soaking tub on the main floor near the fireplace and TV with free Netflix. This luxury tub is sure to be a favorite amongst guests. I designed a non traditional floor plan knowing that this would be used primarily as a couples retreat. You can literally be soaking in the tub and watching TV by the fire while your significant other is preparing a meal in the kitchen all in the same space. We find the layout very romantic and unlike anything else out there. There is also a large hot tub avalible for our guests near the main house. You are welcome to use this hot tub anytime if you don't mind it being by the main home. Free Wifi. No cable TV but we supply Netflix on the hi-speed guest network. Guests will have free parking in our large circular driveway suitable for cars, trucks, or even RVs under 31ft.

The Treehouse is unusual in a charming way. Roy told us about the TH history which causes you to appreciate how they modernized the house while keeping the homes history & spirit. We followed Roy’s & Rebecca’s directive and printed the directions to the Treehouse rather than use GPS which can lead you off course. Not good. We enjoyed the simpler lifestyle the few days we were there. Weather was really pleasant and we dined on the expansive deck. We did miss out on a soak in the hot tube though! Overall it was an adventure!

Need a break from society with a trip to Middle Earth? Of course you do! Let me prescribe you Samara Farms: A must-see magical place to check the fuck out. Wildflower gardens, forest paths, and whimsical treehouses are just the beginning. There’s the artistic construction that nearly defies gravity, the sheer amount of moss on every branch in the forest that makes every trip around the property an adventure, and then: the breathtaking Cathedral! You just have to see for yourself. Also, you won’t feel like you’re “roughing it” in any way here. The hosts have thought of everything. Yes, there’s cell service; but who cares - this is not just a wedding venue, this is a place to get out of the city and frolic, be weird, play an instrument, and forget that email, the stock market, and credit scores exist. Emily and Miles have created a truly magical experience on their land. It was the perfect place for our friend trio to catch up! We rented all three treehouses for one night and quickly wished we stayed longer. We forgot charcoal, but Miles built a fire in the pit for us (thanks!) so we could cook up some dinner. They have a cute little room on the landing up to one of the treehouses that they use for brides to get ready in. It was perfect for relaxing to a little music while we did some super amateur watercolor painting. Waking up in the trees in a cozy bed is something I’d like to do more often. We will be back! Pssst…also love the garden!

These treehouses are truly something special—a little magical hobbit land tucked away in the forest! The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were clean and thoughtfully appointed, and every detail made the stay feel cozy and unique. We cooked dinner over a fire started by Miles, took long walks through the forest and gardens, and loved having the chance to slow down and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It’s an incredible place to gather with friends and reconnect with nature. The community treehouse was another favorite—a wonderful shared space to relax, hang out, and enjoy time together. We had the most amazing weekend here! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such incredible hospitality. The hosts were so sweet, kind, and inviting, and they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Anytime we needed anything, they were there to help and made us feel completely at home. The treehouse was absolutely magical and made the perfect getaway. We loved kayaking, relaxing, and sipping our coffee by the river in the mornings. It was peaceful, beautiful, and exactly the kind of escape we needed. This was truly such an amazing experience, and we left already looking forward to coming back. We cannot wait for our next visit! Wow! What a whimsical experience for 2 old folks who are kids at heart. We came up to Goldendale to stargaze and the treehouse seemed like the perfect place to be. We watched the Perseids Meteor shower from the deck and the parking area. When the smoke from Oregon's wildfires started to creep into the area on our last night, we were glad to have the AC unit, so we could close the windows and play a brutal indoor Yahtzee competition. Having the flushing toilet on the main floor and outside was a treat! What a view! The outdoor shower made the experience rustic yet charming. Everything you need is provided for a simple and fun trip, e.g. towels, games, coffee maker, grill, plates, etc. Thank you for this experience!

What a wonderful stay! The treehouse was absolutely beautiful and set in such a peaceful, gorgeous setting. It was very well appointed, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into creating this special place. The setting was beautiful, the treehouse was unique and cozy, and it was the perfect place to slow down and enjoy nature. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

Remote fun getaway to a super cool treehouse. A lot of detailed work and design went into building this fun structure. Not a lot of room for your luggage inside unless you leave it on the deck or bring a small backpack with what you need. The basics are there for the kitchen with coffee, tea, sugar, fridge, etc. It’s a bit of a short dirt road drive with switchbacks to get to this location, which I’m sure has fantastic views but we were there with all the fires. I’m sure the stargazing is fantastic when smoke is not present. Place came with an air conditioner, so we were comfortable despite the high outdoor heat. The shower did work, but I needed to get some tech support from the owner. We enjoyed it very much.

Camping in the Treehouse was amazing, it was surrounded by a real forest and was so serene, mornings were amazing and the forest was actually really fun to walk around, the treehouse had a spectacular view and the deck was rlly nice.
