Overall, we had a good experience and really enjoyed the location, but there are a few things that could have made our stay much more comfortable.
The cabin is located quite close to several other accommodations, so it did not feel as private as we had expected. The interior also felt somewhat run-down and could have benefited from a thorough cleaning and some general upkeep. It was dusty, there was a noticeable musty smell throughout the cabin, and there were several trash cans around the property with varying amounts of trash in them. A good cleaning, dusting, and reorganization of the space would have made a significant difference.
One of our biggest concerns was the sleeping arrangement. The listing indicated that the cabin could accommodate two adults and a child, but the bed was simply too small for three people. Ultimately, only my three-year-old and I could comfortably fit on the bed, and my husband had to sleep on the floor. Given the stated capacity of the cabin, we had expected a sleeping arrangement that could reasonably accommodate all three guests.
There were also a few maintenance and safety issues that should be addressed. For example, one of the picnic benches was broken and had exposed parts that could potentially be hazardous, particularly for families with young children.
On the positive side, the location was outstanding. Being so close to the river was wonderful and easily one of the highlights of our stay. The setting itself has a lot of potential,

Overall we had a nice experience! It was definitely a lot dirtier than expected in the cabin--I think my tent would have been a lot cleaner and less siders/cobwebs. But the river is beautiful and the sound of running water was delightful at night.

Beautiful property, right on the river, awesome views adorable cabins each thoughtfully planed. Andrea communicates extremely well and is very friendly. We felt like guests not customers. Private beach access great spot for swimming or water activities. We saw lots of eagles and wildlife. Andrea provided so many amenities, including kayaks. Make sure to visit the sandbar tavern right across the street, so whimsical and fun! We are already planning our next trip.

The Artist A-frame Cabin
My family loved staying in the Chalet! Our favorite thing was going down to the river just steps away from the cabins for a cool, refreshing swim. The current is very gentle so that even my 4 and 7 year olds could enjoy the water. It's crystal clear. The hostess Andrea was super kind and friendly.
Beautiful and quiet area close to the river was much needed. We were able to have a fire right outside our door. Very relaxed. We liked how close the parking area was to the cabin and friendly "hellos".

Great place to stay at. Andrea was a great host. There was a huge traffice jam and we couldn't go into town to get some supplies but Andrea help provided us with some. Luckily the weather was good and we were able to enjoy the water also. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful spot, tree haus has a very comfortable queen size bed. The river was clear with an incredible view. Cabins were close together but the stay still felt private.

"The Cedar Hawks Nest"
Nice little community campsite tucked away in a wooded area by the river. River didnt look kid friendly for offshore swimming but you can launch a paddleboard or kayak. Our tent camp was very spacious, trees helped blocked the rain, Porta potty and outhouse were very well kept & all the unique cabins looked so fun.
We will be coming back to stay in the tree house! We found our new get away. Rain or shine.

Girls night out at glampNcamp was prefect! We had everything we needed for a fun camp night. The cabins and camper were perfect for us. We all had our own cozy space to crawl into bed after playing on the river, hanging out at Karaoke at the cute Sand Bar Tavern, and then bon fire. The outdoor kitchen was perfect for us. All we had to bring was bedding and food. The host Andrea is so nice, she will go above and beyond to make sure you have a perfect camp trip!

River front tent site
Overall we had a great experience. The host was communicative and helpful prior to and during our stay. We went with a spot away from the river front so we could be in the shade. Neither tent sites that were available felt like full tent sites, they were fairly small and limited but we had plenty of space to roam since we had access to two newer sites and the cabins weren’t all taken. Could have had more information upfront upon arrival through the app or a quick message with where to find trash, what areas were open to all, toilets, etc.
Andrea was super flexible to accommodate our needs. We felt very welcome on the property. Very cute setting tucked back in the trees. We just car camped there but there were several small cabins that looked really cozy. Nice fire pits and picnic tables. If you have a bigger motor home this might not work for you as the parking lot is a bit small. Good for small rvs or sprinter vans. I was good with a small pop camper. No flush toilets but the portopotty was well maintained. No showers but we went to the river everyday to rinse off. Very small water access but enough to get into the river. Didn’t make it over for karaoke at the Sand Bar but want to come back and have a drink sometime. Great place if you are looking for a home base for adventures near index.

We had a great weekend at the A-frame. Close to all the hiking off Hwy 2 and an amazing view of the river and mountains from the porch. The community kitchen was convenient to cook up some hot dogs. There were two fire pits on the property. If there's not firewood already on property you can buy some at the Sandbar Tavern. Our host Andrea was super friendly and answered all our questions quickly through the app.

Beautiful riverside glamping, with warm hosts and a great location. I intend to bring family and friends back to enjoy the river fun, outdoor kitchen, fire table, and multiple grills for a cozy weekend. I highly enjoyed sitting in the sun with a book and the river and mountain views during my solo stay. Thank you Andrea and Devon!
Had a great stay in the A-frame cabin! The grounds are beautiful and have tons of character. The view of the mountain is spectacular, Andrea and Devon were so kind and helpful and willing to answer any questions I had. The bed was really comfy. There is road noise but it dies down at night and you can hear the river. I slept really well. The communal kitchen had several options for cooking. I used my own silverware and oil but they seemed to have everything else. The firepit overlooking the river was my favorite part. And I loved visiting their one-of-a-kind tavern down the road The Mt Index Sandbar Tavern. Just a great getaway!
The views of the river were beautiful. However, it appeared that Devon and Andrea's Glamping business was newly on hipcamp and were unprepared to host for the amount of sites they have listed. The A frame cabin, RV sites as well as one of the camp sites share two fire pits and are all in close proximity of each other. It could be re listed as "communal living" and be more suited for a large group occupying multiple sites. We ended up spending lots of unplanned time with the other campers as well as additional summer occupants when we were told no one would be at that site.
Not the romantic getaway we were hoping for and would not recommend for queer/trans community (got some comments about "being brave" for coming there as two non-binary partnered people).
Lots to explore in near by areas and we would recommend a trip to Index!
If you’re looking magical spot next to the river, this is it! Super cute, affordable, rustic cabins with a communal kitchen and fire pit that make camping an easy experience- rain or shine! The cabins are perfect for couples or solo folks who want to camp in the woods on the river but don’t want to hassle with putting up and breaking down a tent…or getting rained out. Highly recommend!

My friends and I had great time camping here, host Andrea is super cool and very responsive. This location has great views and all required amenities, only thing I missed a little bit - no tap water onsite so plan accordingly. Oh, and having a bar with beer served in walking distance was a cherry on top !
