Unmatched Views & Lots of Character

This place is so special. The A-frame is so cute, very comfortable, and had beautiful views. The host is so nice and they have the sand bar tavern across the highway. I HIGHLY recommend checking it out. We brought our Bernese mountain dog with us and there was plenty of room for all 3 of us. In terms of what to expect, there are some helpful things to know about the space. You’re pretty close and all the fire pits are communal. The cabin is glamping style but camping rules still apply, so keep food out and know that you’re not booking a true “cabin”, caterpillars and critters are free to roam. It’s more like an upgraded text with a provided mattress and electricity. This is exactly what we were looking for so it worked for us but I read some reviews where hipcampers weren’t expecting it to be on the outdoors/dirty side. All in all it was clean and comfortable for us and we loved our time. It is up a steeper walking path, so bring good shoes if you’re staying in the A-frame. The shared kitchen area is so nice and views unmatched. Andrea is honestly such a sweetheart so you almost feel like family being welcomed. P.S. this place would be an AWESOME place to book with a bunch of people you know and all share the area.

Stayed in the tree haus and had a really lovely cozy one night stay. Definitely prepare for a rustic vibe, but it felt like Andrea did a lot to make our stay comfortable! Really enjoyed the cold plunge in the river.

Paradise not too far from home

Andrea is amazing. She is very welcoming and the place is wonderful. There is alot of thought put into each cabin, rv etc, we felt like we found a goldmine!! The view was beautiful, and all the lighting was perfect!! The river was a 2 minute walk. The bathrooms were so clean and accessible!! And dont forget the Sandbar tavern!! Great beer and atmosphere! We were so excited they had cribbage boards!!! Overall a wonderful experience! Can't wait to go back!!! Thank you

We had the most amazing weekend here! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such incredible hospitality. The hosts were so sweet, kind, and inviting, and they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Anytime we needed anything, they were there to help and made us feel completely at home. The treehouse was absolutely magical and made the perfect getaway. We loved kayaking, relaxing, and sipping our coffee by the river in the mornings. It was peaceful, beautiful, and exactly the kind of escape we needed. This was truly such an amazing experience, and we left already looking forward to coming back. We cannot wait for our next visit! If you’re looking for a beautiful, relaxing getaway with wonderful hospitality, I highly recommend staying here. ❤️

Beautiful Location, Some Flaws

Overall, we had a good experience and really enjoyed the location, but there are a few things that could have made our stay much more comfortable. The cabin is located quite close to several other accommodations, so it did not feel as private as we had expected. The interior also felt somewhat run-down and could have benefited from a thorough cleaning and some general upkeep. It was dusty, there was a noticeable musty smell throughout the cabin, and there were several trash cans around the property with varying amounts of trash in them. A good cleaning, dusting, and reorganization of the space would have made a significant difference. One of our biggest concerns was the sleeping arrangement. The listing indicated that the cabin could accommodate two adults and a child, but the bed was simply too small for three people. Ultimately, only my three-year-old and I could comfortably fit on the bed, and my husband had to sleep on the floor. Given the stated capacity of the cabin, we had expected a sleeping arrangement that could reasonably accommodate all three guests. There were also a few maintenance and safety issues that should be addressed. For example, one of the picnic benches was broken and had exposed parts that could potentially be hazardous, particularly for families with young children. On the positive side, the location was outstanding. Being so close to the river was wonderful and easily one of the highlights of our stay. The setting itself has a lot of potential,

Overall we had a nice experience! It was definitely a lot dirtier than expected in the cabin--I think my tent would have been a lot cleaner and less siders/cobwebs. But the river is beautiful and the sound of running water was delightful at night.

Amazing find

Beautiful property, right on the river, awesome views adorable cabins each thoughtfully planed. Andrea communicates extremely well and is very friendly. We felt like guests not customers. Private beach access great spot for swimming or water activities. We saw lots of eagles and wildlife. Andrea provided so many amenities, including kayaks. Make sure to visit the sandbar tavern right across the street, so whimsical and fun! We are already planning our next trip.

My family loved staying in the Chalet! Our favorite thing was going down to the river just steps away from the cabins for a cool, refreshing swim. The current is very gentle so that even my 4 and 7 year olds could enjoy the water. It's crystal clear. The hostess Andrea was super kind and friendly.

Peace and quiet

Beautiful and quiet area close to the river was much needed. We were able to have a fire right outside our door. Very relaxed. We liked how close the parking area was to the cabin and friendly "hellos".

Great place to stay at. Andrea was a great host. There was a huge traffice jam and we couldn't go into town to get some supplies but Andrea help provided us with some. Luckily the weather was good and we were able to enjoy the water also. Would definitely stay again.

"The Cedar Hawks Nest"

Nice little community campsite tucked away in a wooded area by the river. River didnt look kid friendly for offshore swimming but you can launch a paddleboard or kayak. Our tent camp was very spacious, trees helped blocked the rain, Porta potty and outhouse were very well kept & all the unique cabins looked so fun. We will be coming back to stay in the tree house! We found our new get away. Rain or shine.
