Welcome to The Landing at Index - located on the South Fork Skykomish River, in the western foothills of the Cascade Mountains, off of Highway 2. With 16 acres of beautiful, private woods and breathtaking views of Mt. Index, this is a wonderful getaway to kick back and relax after your day of adventures, or just to escape the city rush. This is a gated property, protected with a code, which you will be sent 24 hours before your arrival. Please be sure to read arrival instructions! The campsites are at the bottom of a long logging road so an SUV or AWD vehicle are preferable , especially during the wetter seasons. When the property was logged approximately 100 years ago they scooped out gravel from the river to make their roads in the area thus creating the back eddy pool along the beach. A rather peaceful setting, including the rushing sound of the river and the occasional whistle of a train. You will feel refreshed and rejuvenated after you stay at The Landing. Pets are welcome, there are private outhouses at each campsite. These outhouses are protected with a code, which is sent to you 24 hours before your arrival. Loved Popcorn Pond. We stayed here in a tent instead of an RV. It was incredible to watch the sunrise and sunset over the pond. All the birds, tons of berries back in the cove. Felt very private and safe, it’s the least secluded of all the sites and we saw not one person on a Friday night. The property is much larger than expected. Sleeping with the sounds of birds, frogs, insects by the water was divine. Book here!

I absolutely loved it here. The sites are big and the host Teresa is so friendly & had lots of great insight about the area. The shower is fantastic, not very often I find one with good water pressure and super hot just how I like my showers. The only downside was the firepit, and having to lug everything up to the community area every night to have a fire. Still not a deal breaker though, we'll be back. 5 STARS💫💫💫💫💫

My wife and I loved site 3. It is very secluded and only a short walk from where you leave your car. There is a great hammock to relax in as well as a standing fireplace to have a campfire. We found a good spot for our tent and enjoyed being back at the site. My only recommendation would be to make sure to store your trash securely! My wife and I had a trash bag hung up off the ground and either some critters or the nearby camper’s roaming dog got into it. Obviously we learned to store it securely but make sure you do that in advance. Otherwise, it was a great experience. The property was beautiful and extremely easy to find with the signage. The host, Erin, was prompt in responses and made sure to check in on us to make sure everything was going smoothly. This is a great spot to explore Whidbey Island as well because it is right in the middle of island. It makes it very easy to explore the North and South! Also, make sure to checkout the Greenbank Pantry nearby! Incredible sandwiches

The pond is beautiful, I hadn't seen bullfrog tadpoles before, their bodies can be larger than a golf ball! Trails were nice, long sleeve clothing is essential due to definitely needing some clearing to stay walkable.

2 nights at Big Twin Lake Resort

We had a nice spot up on a hill with a view of the lake. The tent spots were big and spread out so nice and private. A nice family atmosphere, no loud people or partying. A very nice base to explore winthrop and Mazama from. If you are adventurous drive up to Hart’s Pass, but watch for bears! We had one crash our picnic.

2 nights at Glamping at the Gateway

Instead of fighting for a campsite in Olympic NP, we opted for a confirmed site at "Tenting in the Ceders" on our road trip from MD. We are glad we did! Great location near Lake Cresent activities (Devils Punchbowl and Marymere Falls/Mt Storm) and the shower is great, hot showers after a chilly swim in Lake Cresent was amazing. Would not hesitate to stay here again. If we stayed again we would probably pick one of the hight number sites that we could drive to, but that is on us. Owner had great communication when booking and with information about the site.
