Pacific Dunes Resort

These campgrounds and the resort are the perfect place for a romantic and relaxing time away, or even the perfect spot for your family gathering! Beyond the great location, easy access to amenities, and a short walk to the beach, they offer fantastic accommodation options for everyone, including large rentable prebuilt tent sites, van and RV/trailer setups with full hookups, and cozy tiny homes fully set up for a perfect getaway. What truly made our stay special was the outstanding hospitality. Despite witnessing them being busy, constantly on site taking care of sites just left or preparing for incoming new vacationers, Karl and Sydnee took the time out of their schedules to answer our curious questions about running the resort and gave us a tour around the property so we could see our options for our next visit. They are incredibly patient, friendly, and truly made us feel like family. I think one of the biggest things that makes a stay great is feeling safe and knowing you're in good hands. Karl and Sydnee definitely went above and beyond in making this place a spot people want to return to. We will absolutely be back!

It’s okay.

I’ll do a pro/con list but I have to put in here what everyone else has said. Very tight quarters. Getting out of the driver side you are stepping into the next campsite. If you stay here I’d recommend the tiny house or studio. If we stay here again that’s what we’d do. For the cost of the rv spot, not the best deal. Additionally. There was someone showering at about 3am. Could be a camper, could be a transient. Showers/bathrooms aren’t locked. However a camper showering at that time seems quite odd. Either way this thought was quite uncomfortable, so I ensured the van was fully locked up as we had the back hatch open for airflow. Pros: close to the beach. Not in a highly populated area. WiFi. Running water and showers. Office with snacks and coffee. Cons: WiFi does not work well. Disconnects every few minutes. (We were not the farthest away) Shower was not clean. Spots are way too tight. Coffee stand very limited and out of a lot of things. Kid are looks like a dilapidated dog park. Overall it has the feel of “we just opened for business and money is tight” or “it’s the end of the season and money is tight”.

Great Setup

This is a great spot near the beach. We had full hookups but I opted for the shower in the bath house. A 5 minute walk over the dunes and you are on an expansive beach with only a few dozen people. They also have yurt type cabins to rent and some tiny home campers to rent as well. We walked 10 minutes down the beach and back across the dunes to stop in to the Green Lantern restaurant and bar. They have pool tables there too. A great spot to hang out for a few days.

Camping near the beach

It is such a lovely place to stay because of its proximity to the beach. Just a short walk through the grasses and over a little bridge, not even a quarter of a mile and you’re there on the big wide beach. Last time we stayed here it was under different management. They were not accommodating. The woman who helped me several times while we were just there for two nights was great, and kind. She acknowledged that they were trying to fix things up and move things around a little, and helped us accommodate certain things like a tent on our spot. It’s a place that feels good for a family, with an open play area for kids and a little fenced dog area.

Perfect beach location

I adore this place! Perfect location for beach access. Nice sea breeze. Clean and well maintained. Beautiful walk through the dunes to the beach. Are spots a bit tight, yes. But it was perfect for our pop-up camper. Kurt and Sydnee are working hard to renovate the campground bit by bit and are very responsive to questions and feedback. You can see they are pouring their hearts into it. I truly can’t wait to stay here again and see how their dreams are unfolding. Thank you!

Hosts were kind, the bath house was clean, and the kids loved feeding the chickens. The campervan sites are just too close together and have no privacy. Fine to spot to park and sleep.

Super chill spot. Amazing beach access. They got a full coffee shop and super helpful friendly staff. The bathrooms are super clean and fully remodeled with an indoor shower and two outdoor showers. Hot clean water....... 😎 The RV sites are super tight, with not much room between them. But aside from that, I will totally come back here again next year. Also, the tiny houses and glamping tents look awesome. I might try those out next visit. Hip Camp FTW!

We had a great weekend camping at Pacific Dunes in our RV. It was a relaxing place to get away, enjoy the coastal surroundings, and spend some quality time together. Our site worked well for the RV, and the whole trip was comfortable and enjoyable. We appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and would gladly return for another weekend. A great spot for an RV getaway near the coast!

One of our favorite places!

This was our 3rd summer spending a weekend at Pacific Dunes Resort, and we still love it! This time we stayed in one of the camper van/RV spots. There were so many spots and plenty of room for my camper van, a tent, a car, and more! The location is perfect which is why we continue to go back, but the new owners made it even better! They are super kind, kept it clean, and have made improvements since last summer already! Plus they still have hot lattes available in the office if you run out of coffee!

Very cool RV spot. Great location to beach just a short walk. Wifi worked pretty well for us. Karl & Sydnee are very nice. Check in was a breeze. Shower was hot and plentiful. They even have a coffee shop.

What a great place! Just the right amount of services in a low key relaxing environment. Toilets and showers were in good shape and always so appreciated after mort rustic camping. The quick walk to the beach was great. Easy access to a fantastic local grocery store and restaurant.

King Studio Suite Kitchenette

We stayed for 2 nights in a 21' travel trailer. Pros- the host Carl, was great. Helpful and readily available. The wall tents, motel, bathroom / shower and tiny houses looked cool but we didn't go inside. Easy walk to the beach. Power was solid. Con's - the rv spots are small. Luckily it wasn't busy so we had a few spots between each rv, but if it was full it would be too cramped. The spots 3-11 are a tight fit to back into , and not enough room to park your tow vehicle. The other spots have a better approach but are still narrow. The sewer connections overlap into adjacent spots so your neighbor's connection would run through your area. Very low water pressure, we just used our onboard pump and refilled the tank instead of connecting to the water. The place is slightly run down with some old fire pits piled up and broken light poles. The kids area is cool but all the toys are broken. If we could have spilled over into two spots I think it would have made a big difference. Overall it was quiet, safe , convenient location. I would just contact the host and discuss your situation before booking a rv spot.

Honestly big fan of this place! Everything was clean, which is hard to find at the beach. Owners were kind and helpful. We slept great on our king size bed, market across the street had anything you could need. Definitely check this place out if you are looking to stay at the coast!

It’s clear the hosts have done a lot to uplevel this place! The room was definitely renovated with a more modern feel & the size was great. It had everything we needed for a 1-night stay. Things to note given the old (but updated!) building: It took a long time for the shower water to get warm, and the walls between the units are really quite thin, especially in the bathroom. The rest of the property left a little bit to be desired with a small, outdated kids play area & communal spaces, but we could tell this is a work in progress & the access to the beach was great.

Premier Glamping Experience

This is reasonably appointed Washington Coast resort. It met our needs despite the fact that the advertised snack bar was closed. Their espresso machine was apparently broken, which can happen. However coffee is not the only reason we might have liked a different snack. The grill was not clean. I will say the hosts were great to communicate with via messages. Self check-in meant we had to guess which tent was ours based on a nonspecific map, as the messages did not include the name of our site. Thankfully, one came to throw us out so it must have been OK. This is a serviceable place

Pacific Dunes was a great place to camp for my family and Karl and Sydnee made sure to welcome us when we got there and were so accommodating when we needed/forgot a few things. He even helped us jump the truck a few times. The beach was super close and they have the cutest hand crafted coffee stand in the morning and are going to have beer on tap soon. The bathrooms were super cute and clean and they have a dog wash area, as well as a clam station. Karl told us they are also putting up a gazebo over the community fire pit area and they will be getting kayaks for the creek. We are super excited to camp here again soon!

Small spots, but nice location

Great location with beach access. Everything was clean and easily accessible. My only gripe would be the very small sites. We made do for the night because the couple next to us accidentally booked two sites and that left space between us. Overall it was a good experience.
