Weekend Trip to Humptulips Valley River Camp

Hi! Great spot! Would definitely come back again! We felt safe and it was super clean. We came 4th of July weekend. It was little loud with fireworks but not outrageous. We expected that anywhere we camped. There is a semi busy road next to the spot. All my friend had ear plugs and slept through the night. Don't let any of the negative stop you from going. Its such a beautiful spot next to the next to the river.

The space we stayed in was majestic. Mary was there adding some finishing touches when we arrived and she was so accommodating and helpful. She went above and beyond. The view of the swimming hole and beach was incredible. Waking up to it was one of my favorite parts. We counted at least 13 different birds we saw, including a bald eagle we watched for almost an hour. I have already been planning to go back. Highly recommend this spot.

Quiet, lovely beach side camp ground with only 5 RV full hookup sites. Nice crushed rock mostly level pads, picnic tables and great views. Four sites 1-4 are walk outs directly to beach and one #5 is elevated. Shelby, the contact person, is super responsive. We have already made our 3rd return reservations for 2026. Highly recommend.

Site 5 is AMAZING! The whole property is nice, clean, and quiet. Site 5 is pull through and large. We have dogs and kids so it was nice to have some space. The full hookups were excellent and we really enjoyed our time. We will be back!

We absolutely loved staying at this campsite. It was private, peaceful, and close enough to everything we wanted to do. The campsite itself is STUNNING and the lack of light pollution made for some great stargazing as well. I totally recommend this place!

Weekend Trip to RV+ Rainbow Falls / Willapa Trails

We loved tent camping here! The creek was definitely the highlight for our teens and for the other kids staying there. We were the only tent campers, so we had tons of space to ourselves. After a little uncertainty finding a choosing a site in the dispersed camping area, we found we had a wonderful spot. Dan came to greet us and let us know we found the right spot and gave great directions on all the routes to the bathrooms, creek, and river. It’s wonderful that he has kept the forested areas on his land. David was also very responsive to questions through the app and let us know we were welcome to pick some cherries from their big tree. We also found lots of native trailing blackberry - yum! Our confusion was that I think the “game trail” in the directions was wider than expected (more like an old logging road). We camped under a massive big leaf maple shortly after the turn north. Highly recommend!

We felt like we'd found a little hidden secret. Sarah's campsite is extremely private. Even though there were other campers we felt completely secluded. It is a stunning 10 minute drive to Shelton The firewood was plentiful. The sites are quite small. We had a 6 person tent that just fit the site.

Homesteaders came here in 1890, prior to that there was no human habitation. A perfect base camp to explore the many varied facets of the West side of the Olympic Peninsula. The campsites are on acreage of a very small off-grid farm. Relax and forget the stress. There are 6 tent sites and 2 small RV sites. Toilets are available, as well as trash bins, potable water, and picnic tables. We do not allow pets. Guests love staying here: "This spot was everything we were hoping for and more! Awesome location near everything in Quinault. Received a fun, short tour of the property from our hosts who are incredibly nice. The campsite was tidy and exactly what we imagined. Plenty of room between us and our neighbors, and we barely knew that they were there. The outhouse is basic but clean and charming. Imagine the friendliness of staying at a distant cousin's organic farm, with the facilities of a top-notch campsite. Only regret was that we were crashing there quickly, and weren't able to stay longer and relax on-site. If the description on the website seems like what you're looking for, I would highly recommend this location."

We cleaned up the area and remodeled the house next door and put in the 5 RV sites. We hope you enjoy this property as much as we do, it is a one-of-a-kind beautiful, quiet place. All of our sites have full hook-ups (water, sewer, and power). The sites are just a couple feet from the bay with access to miles of beach hiking. You can walk to Bottle Beach State Park which is approximately 1 mile north or hike about a mile south to Elk River. Enjoy unobstructed views of Westport and the freight ships coming into the harbor. Enjoy a peaceful beach with amazing sunsets. Whether you are surfing for the weekend or tuna-fishing, this is your go to spot - you will not be disappointed. Westport is 7 miles by car and the Westport Winery is only 5 miles. There is two nearby boat launches - one off of Elk River just 2 miles away and the other off of Johns River launch just 6 miles away. This is a camping location with ACCESS to the river, access to OUR farm land, ponds and DNR land. Our camp spots are private and not stacked on top of each other. Right now we have dry camping with outdoor honey buckets. We are wanting something that you can clear your mind, camp In peace. We also offer wood for SALE and all of our sites have wood burning areas. We also have ice and delivery services. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK We are about 45 minutes from ocean beaches, only a few minutes from the best riding, hiking and boating in the world. We have a cute bar and restaurant within a mile. Also gas and groceries are close as well. Boat launch is about 1/2 a block easy access. There is talk about sites at the river, we have some in their premature stage. This is NOT offered through our Hip Camp site!!!!! However, we do upon arrival let people stay right on the water on a case-by-case deal and NOT on busy holiday weekends. There are reasons for this: When we initially opened, we allowed people to camp there through Hip Camp and I was getting low stars ratings because Entitled people thought for $28 bucks, they got the whole river to themselves and would fight with other campers, than they would cry because the bathroom was too far. IT JUST GOT TO EXHAUSTING. So now I do it judging by the vibe the camper gives me when they arrive and how full we our. Next year I’m going to try to set up some premium sites on the river and work super hard at getting amenities that will match that price. But for now, Enjoy Camp Hope and the river ACCESS too!! We appreciate the wonderful feedback everyone gives it helps us grow with you!!

Beautiful Tent Yurt sight quiet and serene river frontage and woods. This Yurt will hold 4 Adults comfortably with room to spare. Great for biking, walking on the beach, exploring. Watch the fish jump and ducks swimming. Visit the only working covered bridge in Washington State. Very remote and private . You will be captivated by it's beauty. Bring a kayak or canoe. Ride your bike on a beautiful country road. The water is very amazing. A few miles away is a little restaurant. Open only Thu - Sunday. It is 12 miles to nearest town in both directions for a store and gas. No potable water yet so please bring your own. A contained fire allowed. No electric at this time. Pet friendly. Pets must be on a leash for their safety. Children must be accompanied at all times because of the water. Life jackets are highly recommended for people who can't swim. Only 26 miles to Astoria Oregon and 34 miles to Long Beach Washington.

Adam & Sara purchased the property in 2018 to preserve it. We enjoy sharing it with nature aficionados who respect the sacredness of the unblemished land and help us keep it pristine. From your mossy bank perched above the panoramic Pacific, beneath burley spruce tree boughs, magic sunsets unfold at your own super-private and secluded campsite with fire-pit. Adjacent to Olympic National Park, this is the same beach and bluff that defines Kalaloch, LaPush and and other wild Washington coastal icons. As the stewards of this land, we are now inviting respectful and responsible small groups and families to share its beauty. Without prior approval we allow only eight people per group— even when split between campsites. Please make sure to check the site *title* for number of campers allowed in each site. For example only two people are allowed in sites 1 and 4. Merriman Creek Maple Flat Hipcamp

Merriman Creek is nestled under a canopy of old growth Maple Trees next to our Nightly Rental, The River's Edge, on the South Shore of Lake Quinault. At the request of our nightly rental customers, we have added secluded dry camping sites for our guests and for those wanting to enjoy the Lake Quinault area. Due to USFS Campground closures and high demand, we are happy to provide a place for campers to spend a night or two as they enjoy Lake Quinault. The Hipcamp location is approx 100 yards away from our Rental House and it is secluded and provided. Preferably this is a walk-in tent site Hipcamp, but if the weather is dry, you may drive in with your car or camper van. Please be mindful of other campers as this is an open field nestled under old growth Maple Trees. Quiet Hours and respectful camping etiquette should be followed. We have a communal fire pit in the middle of the 3 acre parcel, 7 sites in total and a clean and new Porta-Potty toilet. There is no water on site so please bring your own water. You may also bring your own portable propane fire pit should you wish not to use the communal fire pit. We hope this description helps! Site 1 is best suited for a camper van. Everyone must pass by this site to get to the other sites. SIte 1 is also closest to the Porta Potty. Site 5 and 6 are in the very back of the property and might be best if you are camping with another family. Site 7 is closest to the fire pit. One tent per space please. You are welcome to message the Host for any questions, we are very accommodating and can also help you plan your trip and advise on things to do. We also have a brand new cabin 1/2 mile up the Valley from our Merriman Creek Hipcamp that also can be rented through the Hipcamp Platform.

Accessibility is limited to foot traffic beyond the parking area due to road washout.

Bring your binoculars for bird watching and a bag for collecting agates along the shore.
