The Cedar River Retreat is its own little oasis. Located past an old fisherman's community along the river, close to shopping and stores but tucked away from it all just enough to reconnect with nature. This plot was purchased in 2016 and we hope you have a great time creating memories like we have over the last few years. We currently have an off-grid cabin, RV site and a tent camping only site. The outdoors are for everyone! We are excited to host you soon! Happy adventuring! Follow us on Instagram- @cedar_riverretreat

Cedar Hollow Tent Site
Very comfortable camping.
The camping experience on Brittany's Cedar Hollow Tent site was very comfortable to say the least. The spot is tucked away in the trees having a nice clearing with a wood deck slab for a tent, a picnic table, and a circle concrete block fire pit. The area is quiet and peaceful with the sound of the Cedar River in the distance. There is enough clearing to get sunshine but also has plenty of shaded area. The spot is separated from the road and parking by a very short trail walk so no vehicles can drive into the site. We stayed three nights with no issues or interruptions. Very enjoyable camping site.

Nice spot!
The site was nice and secluded, easy to find, very convienent. The property is close to the trails that lead down to the river which is nice. Great host, very responsive. Overall a great spot and perfect for what we needed.

Cedar River Cabin
A lovely spot for a weekend getaway! We loved the cabin, which felt spacious, and the Cedar River trail. It’s pretty quiet, even with the close proximity to the trail.

Nice Camp in the Woods
This was a nice, secluded camp up in the woods. It was quiet and peaceful. We took our 36’ coach up there without a problem. When I saw the initial hill it gave me pause, but we got up just fine, and there is plenty of room at the camp to maneuver into place.

Cedar River Cabin
Off Grid Cabin on Cedar River Trail
The cabin was as described with lots of amenities such as cards, checkerboard, books, hand sanitizer in the outhouse, grill, etc. Very peaceful, quiet, serene environment. The. dry firewood was a plus for the cool evening and liked the payment drop box. My only negative was the lock box on the door was a struggle. Not being familiar with those type of locks I feel the instructions could have been clearer and maybe some silicone spray could be applied to make the lock operation smoother. Overall, a wonderful experience and location! Thank you for such a positive first time Hipcamp experience.

Cedar Hollow Tent Site
10 out of 5 stars! Brittany was such an attentive host. Above and beyond. We had a fracas with our automobile mere minutes after arriving, and she had us out of that pickle in no time. On the 4th of July, no less! This is a truly secluded campsite. Back along a private road and up a hill with only the RV site nearby -- but out of earshot for sure. The trail from the parking pad into the campsite even has little lights (very nice <3) that lead to your our own personal fairy ring. At pretty much any point in the day there is a spot with shade. The pre-installed hammock ties were on point. The tent platform was clutch -- it fit our 4-person tent plus space for bins and bags, the dog bed, and enough room to safely step out of our tent and onto the platform at night. It was so hot when we were there that we didn’t use the fire pit, but it is a large and beautiful ring of brick that could hold a serious fire during the colder months. The chorus of birds at dawn is truly incredible. A red-tailed hawk can be heard around high noon, and a Swainson’s Thrush sings with the sunset. Truly delightful. It’s pretty wild that this place is less than 40 minutes out of Seattle. We can’t travel far for camping as our senior dog gets carsick easily, but this site feels more remote than just about any publicly accessible campsite that isn’t a disbursed site on national forest land. Truly a gem. Visit this campsite without hesitation.
