Lawnacres is a 20 acre farm that focuses on enhancing wellbeing through the presence of horses and nature. The Bunky itself is a converted horse stall in one of the barns on the property.
The glamping space is approximately 10x12, with a queen size log bed and wide rustic cedar plank flooring. The “stall” to the north houses an outdoor shower and sauna. It’s about a 30 foot walk to the outhouse.

Though not one acre in size (please note that the HipCamp app requires a minimum selection of 1 acre), our cozy spot offers a unique lakeside experience. Parking is conveniently situated a couple of blocks away, and the site is accessible via a walk-in/walk-out path connected to the East Lake Sammamish Trail.
The terrain boasts a slightly sloped, rocky shoreline, providing direct no-bank access to the water for activities such as swimming, paddle-boarding, boating, fishing, and sunbathing. Please be aware that the site does not have utilities or hook-ups, embracing a rustic getaway experience.
It can accommodate two tents and up 4 adults or up to 6 people with children comfortably.
On-site amenities include a firepit, picnic table, trash can, sun umbrellas, camp chairs, Adirondack chairs, and floaties for your enjoyment. Additionally, a honeybucket is available in the parking lot for your convenience.
Please note that the boat lift and on-site cabana are not available for camper use. There is no electricity so please be prepared to bring your own lighting. (There is a set of string party lights at the site that utilize solar power and click on at dusk automatically). Various chairs, paddle boards, tents and other items shown in images may belong to guests and are not all included in the rental. Please inquire if you have any questions regarding specifics of what is included.
No parties, group events or gatherings. Bookings are limited to small groups and single family camping trips. The maximum guest count for the site is 6 people including children or 4 adults. All guests (day or night) must be included in the reservation headcount.
Parking is conveniently located along East Lake Sammamish Pkwy in the Inglewood Hill Parking Lot, and the site is accessed a couple of blocks away via a staircase along the E Lk Sammamish Pkwy Trail.
We recommend bringing a cart or folding wagon to haul gear from the lot to the site if you’re not packing light.
**The structure in the image is a cabana currently being used for storage of personal family belongings. No one will be accessing or staying in the structure during your stay.
There is a security camera installed on site. This camera is not monitored during guest stays but is used to monitor the property for security purposes when there are no current or active reservations.
There is a family that keeps their boat on the lift out in front of the property, who may access their boat from time to time, and uses the South end of the site for access. This should be minimally disruptive, if at all, as they only use a small portion of the site for ingress/egress to their boat.
Please note that Lake Sammamish is located in an urban area. This is not a remote lake or location, and as such, there are frequent boaters on the lake, active recreation on the water, and neighboring properties that occasionally have occupants, as well as the potential associated noise that comes with these things. Unfortunately, we cannot predict or control these things. That said, the vast majority of mornings at the site are very quiet and peaceful.
You may notice small pieces of glass on the beach. These are beach glass— hundreds of them wash up every winter. We pick up the ones we spot but they’re hard to see a lot of times. Either way they’re almost always dull as they’ve been worn down by the water and years of being washed against the rocks. **

The shed has an easy to use composting toilet with clear instructions if you’re a first timer. Also, this IS a converted shed, so be ready for some lower ceilings and narrow spaces. The lofted full bed is cozy, but don’t bop your head on the way out! The bed has a six inch memory foam mattress with extra blankets and pillows. Everything is washed with free and clear detergent for sensitivities.
We provide a small refrigerator, a 2 burner stove, coffee supplies (keurig pods,pour over coffee with creamer/sugar), wine opener, dishes, and more. We have 2 tables where you can enjoy meals and games either indoors or outdoors.
One block away is Highland Park which has a tennis court and baseball field. A mile north, explore the West Duwamish Greenbelt Trails. 2 blocks south is Westcrest Park that hosts a community garden, a dog park, and small trails in their greenbelt. You’re also walking distance to downtown White Center, which has breweries, a roller skating rink, a gay bar, and plenty of coffee shops/restaurants.

The parking lot is behind trees, approx 50 ft from the main road which has regular daily traffic and noise driving by at the top of the site. It quiets down after work in the evenings. Dogs bark because they are dogs, but when you go deep into the forest you can barely hear the road or the dogs. The parking area can only be located there, in order to maintain the ecology of Ames Creek.
The entrance is down through either of two driveways from the main road, on a horseshoe loop drive-through, to the L-shaped parking lot. Tent camping is 4 to 6 total soft pads in the forest near the parking sites. Note: Ames Creek does dry up in mid-summer.
For large RVs maneuvering skills are required to park on the level 23 ft long parking pads in the parking area down the hill from the road. It is a U-shaped drive-through, flat at the bottom of the small driveway hill.

Everyone who sees it remarks that this forest is beautiful. It has a main trail and many small pathways between ferns and hillocks. In an effort to preserve and protect this wild habitat, we have already planted 200 + Western Red Cedars, Douglas Firs, salal, snowberry, native current, and other native vegetation.
This is a great private spot for an RV or similar vehicles and 2 tent circles.
A firepit, and porta-potty next to each pad, another firepit in one of the 2 tent circles for each RV parking pad site.
A completely natural untouched Pacific moss rainforest about 30 miles inland on the foothills of the Mount Baker–Snoqualmie National Forest in Washington State. Some areas it is likely no one has ever walked on.
Bring mosquito repellent. Be aware of kids and dogs near road entrances, as well as near the creek in the winter.
It is located near major fun sites, it is a wilderness playground!
Ames Creek dries up mid-July and returns in Sept/Oct. There are a lot of little paths crisscrossing the creek, likely raccoon and deer trails.
We are happy to have your dogs visit - they will love it!
Please remember to bring an extension cord to access power.
There are fire pits. When possible firewood is provided gratis in the woodshed. There are bundles of wood for sale at the Ace Hardware store in Carnation.

This location is near U.S. National Forest extending more than 140 miles along the western slopes of the Cascade Range from the Canada–US border to the northern boundary of Mount Rainier National Park.

Working remotely? Trade your home office for the forest. With strong cell signal, reliable wifi, device charging, and a covered common area that makes a surprisingly good outdoor desk, Basecamp works beautifully as a weekday workation — deep-focus days among the trees, barista-made espresso instead of the office machine, and trails to wander on your lunch break. Just a short hop from the Seattle ferry, spend your days exploring charming Kitsap towns, kayaking the shoreline, beachcombing, or chasing the bioluminescence tours at Port Gamble — then come home to the quiet of the trees. Or simply slow down: wander the trails, find the swing set hidden like a secret, gather around the fire ring, and gaze up at a sky full of stars.

The front half of our property is cozy and quiet. Very rural setting but only 3 miles from Snohomish. Lush greenery, tall trees, bird songs and privacy. Park like setting with beautiful surroundings. Large cedars, firs, hemlocks and a long existing native landscape. A one acre overgrown wetland separates the camping area from the private residence and workshop. We encourage QUIET camping in fully self contained small RVs. We DISCOURAGE car and tent camping. Please RESPECT the property and the neighbors by leaving no trace.

Beautiful spot. We took our young kids here as a teeny step into camping. They swam all day, fished in the evening, and we wrapped it up with dinner and games. There were some annoying neighbors in the evening, which is of course out of their control, but besides that it felt nice and private. There will be some street noise, but I actually appreciate that a bit to ease the kids into camping. Communications from the owner was super quick and so helpful.

We enjoyed the atmosphere. Having the peacocks, chickens and turkeys running around was fun. We brought bikes for the kids and it was great riding around the area into town and down the street to other farms. I would recommend bringing a water filter as some of the wells contain sediment.

The Bunky is a modest and very comfortable place for glamping! Hosts are kind, welcoming and attentive. The farm is quiet, beautiful, and home to three horses and two donkeys that guests are welcome to visit. The sleeping quarters are very private and the sauna and “rain shower” shower are both fabulous.

We had to make a last minute camping change due to fires in the area we were supposed to visit. Jana and her husband were incredibly helpful, warm, and inviting. We camped in spot 2 of their Christmas tree farm and had so much space, and a beautiful view of their Christmas trees.
The port-a-potty’s were incredibly clean, and there was plenty to walk around and admire. My whole crew really appreciated the colorful gravel sea glass driveway.
Jana’s family does a great job making guests feel welcome. I didn’t get a chance to do the u-pick flowers this time, but will definitely be back for that, and for the pumpkin patch.

I stayed on Stephanie’s farm with some friends and we had a wonderful time! We booked both site 1 and site 2 since they are right next to each other, and it was the perfect size for our group :) the property is very pretty and peaceful. Since it was summer there was a portable toilet near our site which was super convenient, and the farmhouse wasn’t too far of a walk and it had more bathrooms and an outdoor shower which we appreciated a lot! There is a Safeway nearby in case you forget anything, and it’s a short drive into town. Highly recommend staying on Stephanie’s land if you want some peace and quiet away from the city while still getting to enjoy comforts such as a shower and close town access.

Debi's land is great, highly recommended. There's a central kitchen area so you can pack light, and it's a nice middle ground if someone in your group is less comfortable roughing it. Our campsite in particular, Chinook Nook, was a down a steep hill without a walking path. We managed with our gear and a toddler, but just be aware for packing purposes.

We had a great time at Site 3! Large site with trees/shade. We had a small camper van and a truck slide in camper plus one tent and had plenty of room. Very nice camp kitty that kept us company. Old, but very clean port a potty. We will hopefully be back!

Two cots in each a frame, bring your sleeping bag and comfy bedding if you’re a side sleeper. there was a simple sink behind the right cabin which is helpful to wash up. Lodged for a night after the bioluminescence kayak tour at port gamble. Could hear coyotes at night and chickens in the morning.
