Alexia has a treasure of a place. Truly, this is a special gem. It's like being in the remote woods, yet it's right in Woodinville. I highly recommend the farm tour. We had a blast petting the bunnies and ferrets. Alexia even gave us some special goodies to take home. This stay was far more than I expected. Their stewardship of the land will leave you inspired.

Our family of four (kids ages 7 and 11) had a wonderful 3-night stay on Alexia's farm. The highlight of the trip was meeting all of the farm animals and watching Alexia milk the goats each morning. The goats were definitely my kids' favorite! Alexia was incredibly warm, welcoming, and full of information about the animals. We appreciated how freely she allowed us to explore the property.
The camping area is located in acres of beautiful woods with trails, a creek, and tall canopy trees overhead. We were able to choose our own campsite, and once in the woods, it hardly felt like we were only 10 minutes from Seattle. The setup was great, with an outhouse, plenty of firewood, and lots of space to spread out. Our kids also loved the rope swing near the farm while waiting for goat-milking time.
A few things future campers may want to know: the camping area is across a small road from the farm, and depending on where you camp, you may be able to see neighboring houses. While the woods feel secluded, you can still hear some traffic at night. The outhouse is in the woods, while the shower and dishwashing sink are located behind the farmhouse.
Overall, we loved our stay. Watching the daily work that goes into caring for the animals and maintaining the farm was inspiring, and we left feeling grateful for the experience. It was a peaceful, wholesome family getaway, and we're thankful we got to meet such wonderful people.

Hawthorne farm played host to our second annual Mom's and Babies camp trip. Our kids, all 2 years old, thrived in this space.
We instantly felt welcomed and comfortable. Alexia greeted us and oriented us to the space. The farm was fun to explore but the campsite itself was so incredible.
With safe space for the kids to explore the woods, plenty of space for our three tents, a little stream for the kids to explore, and a tiny pond with tadpoles to watch, this place was perfect for people of all ages. We really loved having access to a sink to wash our dirty dishes and a shower to wash our dirty feet!
We loved our stay at Hawthorn Farm and can't wait to come back!

Great location, easy to get to, and awesome hospitality! Easy trails to hike with young ones, adorable and friendly goats, great campsite setups with plenty of wood and fire pits. Overall, 10/10. Would recommend and will visit again.

My friends and I had the most magical celebration on this sacred land! What a blessing it was to visit and camp here. Alexia and all the residents were so kind and light hearted. Thanks for making my celebration one I’ll always remember! I can’t wait to come back!

This is a truly pristine forest setting for your camping. This is exactly what we were looking for and strangely in this area there are practically no sites with lush forest like this. On top of that, Alexia was fantastic host to show us everything and made us feel welcome.There’s even a farm where you can go visit the animals and just experience a peaceful way of life. Can’t recommend this place enough and we will return for our annual night out of camping again next year.

So charming! Camp site was gorgeous, trees were so tall, and we listened to owls all night long 💗
Farm was adorable and my kiddo had so much fun helping feed the animals!
Host was so kind and accommodating, I could not recommend this place more!
Keep in mind there is a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the camp site.

Perfect camping spot/secluded and yet close to Seattle. Alexia is so knowledgeable about farming and her animals it is such a pleasure to learn from her! (We added on the farm tour and were so glad we did!) Such a special experience for us and our 2.5 yr old! Thanks for answering all our questions and being so patient with us!

Winter Wren Woods provided a private and magical setting for our first annual moms n’ kids campout. The kids had the time of their lives filming a Harry Potter themed action movie over a couple of days. Having 4 acres of forest all to ourselves was amazing. It’s a safe environment to let younger kids explore independently (our gaggle of children went from 6-10 yrs) so moms mostly got to relax while the kids spent the last week before school starts as feral fae forest creatures. What could be better?
Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs. The after hours Barred Owl Party was positively lit. Super mystical and cool- also noisy. If you’re unfamiliar with them they sound like owls first and then become absurd cartoon characters. Great fun, and it’s wonderful to know there are spaces nearby where night creatures are still wild.
100% 10/10 would recommend.

Words cannot express how special the place and people are at Hawthorn Farm. Our group of 11 people (ages 18 months to 40 years) had the most amazing time for our two night stay. We loved running through the secluded forest trails, digging up potatoes, riding ponies, feeding chickens, roasting s'mores, swinging on swings, cooking over the fire, petting baby bunnies, digging up worms for ducks to eat, throwing apples in the apple bucket, waking up under a canopy of trees, throwing rocks in the creek — and the list goes on and on.
Thank you to Alexia for sharing her knowledge, time, and land with us. You are the real deal! We left your land with a new-found inspiration and a craving for more unkept time with nature. We *will* be back!

We loved it! Went there as a group of 3 families with infants. It was most of our first camping with the little ones, so we wanted to stay somewhat close to home in case of an emergency. It turned out great! Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We all loved the fact that we could camp in the woods so close to home, kiddos loved seeing the animals (baby goats!!!❤️), and the gazebo/shelter was a perfect place for us to cook and eat. Highly recommended.

We’re a group of 4 adults and 1 toddler and we had the absolute best stay! We couldn’t believe how idyllic this farm and forest are. All of the staff goes out of their way to make guests feel welcome and safe. All of the buildings on the property are thoughtfully designed. Amazing story yurt, composting toilet, sink over at the farm to brush teeth, wash dishes etc. There was also a great shower next to the sink but we didn’t use. Location is amazing, close to Seattle but feels very secluded once there. There is air traffic due to proximity to cities but that’s part of the perk being easily accessible. Such an amazing place for kids! Highly recommend!

We truly enjoyed our stay in the forest.
Alexia was so helpful upon greeting us and provided a tour of the grounds. Everything was just well maintained and as pictured. The animals on the farm enchanted our young kids, and the forest being a little away reduced the amount of farm noise typically expected at a farm stay. There are wagons to borrow to transport our camping gear and supplies from the parking lot. The composting bathroom was clean and educational. Wish we had a longer stay!

Hawthorn and Alexia + her family are a dream come true for us. We held a rehearsal and our wedding ceremony with a catered dinner in the woods on this property. It couldn’t have gone better. Not only because of the accommodations from Alexia and the others helping with the place but the spot itself is pure magic. When we visited, we knew this was the place for our wedding. It’s peaceful, beyond beautiful, and maintained by the most lovely people. We can’t wait to come back to camp in the spot we said “I do.”

Our hosts were very sweet and we felt safe in the parking area. That said, the pictures made the farm feel ethereal whereas the reality was a working farm. I was disappointed the outhouses had mouse eaten toilet paper and there were a lot of mosquito larva in the rain water collection bucket used for hand-washing water. The animals were sweet though and I’d imagine others would enjoy that aspect. Just expensive at $60+ (not including taxes and fees) for the service provided.

I truly don’t have the words for how incredible it was to be at Hawthorn Farms this past weekend. We held our rehearsal and then our wedding ceremony there followed by one of the most beautiful dinners we had ever experienced. They gave us full creative freedom with the space and we just could not be more at peace with that decision. Even better was the fact that it’s not just a “venue” for us but now can be a place we happily return to camp (a favorite thing to do of ours). Thank you will never, EVER be enough for the memories you allowed us to make here. Connecting with you about a year ago was one of the best decisions we’ve made.

We LOVED staying here! Jenn was so sweet and showed us around her beautiful property. She has a gorgeous camping area, with trails and creeks to explore. She also had a cozy little outdoor shower, a place for us to wash dishes, and a little outhouse. There was plenty of firewood provided, and the cutest farm animals. We felt very safe and welcomed, and got the best sleep ever. Her property is so magical, we would love to stay here again!
