This property offers tranquility, with occasional visits from deer, coyote, owls, rabbits, eagles and doves. River access is just a short distance away, providing opportunities for fishing, sunbathing, or floating along the Cowlitz River.
Just follow the pink flagging from our "Black Tail River Trail" sign at the south end of the grounds along the mowed path into the woods to the river. Approx 750' from the sign.
*please note: Every year the beach changes due to the dam's releasing water in the winter/spring and weather related flooding. Sometimes our beach is large or small. Access to beach changes as well.
Conveniently located near the towns of Kelso and Longview, and only 2.7 miles from Castle Rock. A day trip to Mt St Helens is very possible.
Two full hookup sites are available, two water/power sites, along with ample dry camping areas. We have a porta potty as well.
Horses are welcome on the property, as are leashed/penned and friendly pets. Dogs can be off leash at the river, but be courteous and aware of other dogs. Please clean up after your animals!
Cell phone coverage is good here, we do not have wifi available.
We offer firewood for sale (cash) and allow propane fire pits in our fire pits during burn bans. We follow the Cowlitz County ban, July 15-Sept 30.
We also have a community fire pit for our dry campers (or large groups) called the Lave Pit, directly across from our dry camp area.
Motorized off-road vehicles are allowed ONLY for transport of gear to/from the river or for those with mobile disabilities. We ask that you are respectful of the trails and drive slowly.

Also, we just finished making an amazing nature walk along the river, where you can find blackberries, huckleberries, salmon berries, and even apples, (depending on the time of year). Just what is Cowboy Camp, you might ask. The traditional definition refers to sleeping outside under the stars with only a bedroll, a fire and the night sky for companions. But if you are a fan of the western genre and lifestyle, you might also know it as a place to go to hang out with like minded folks and experience the Cowboy lifestyle. This includes all people, men and women alike, as the term "Cowboy" is largely generic and not gender oriented. A taste of that lifestyle is what we are offering here at our Cowboy Camp.
As part of your cowboy camp experience you can sign up for a horsemanship lesson involving handling and grooming horses and time spent working with the horse in the round pen.

Our beautiful piece of property is comprised of 11 acres situated on the northeast tip of the Olympic Peninsula just outside the quaint Victorian seaport town of Port Townsend. It lies approximately 4 miles from downtown with its many art galleries, restaurants, shops, boat harbor, farmer's market and the historic Rose theater.
The horses are excluded from camping areas during your visit. No need to worry about curious horses coming into your campsite to say hello.
We have created a walking trail through the forest around the land that is full of the sounds of life and birds. A pileated woodpecker makes its home in the back corner and two pairs of barred owls also inhabit the nearby Douglas firs.
An important note for the walking explorer, please be aware that many areas of the farm are in their natural state. This means you might encounter prickly plants such as star thistle, nettles and tansy ragwort. We are happy to identify these for you if you are unfamiliar with them. Please be aware and dress in long pants and long sleeves while hiking. There are no poisonous snakes present in this region.
Side note : Due to the presence of horses, chickens and various wildlife on the property, we do not allow outside dogs at this time. Thank you for your understanding.

At 180 acres Glendale Farm in Chimacum, in operation since 1857, is one of the largest single agricultural properties remaining in Jefferson County. The farm includes prime agricultural soils, over half a mile of East Chimacum Creek, and forested areas. The easement protects a buffer zone for salmon and wildlife habitat along the east fork of Chimacum Creek and protects the agricultural and forestry values of the property forever. Jefferson Land Trust and collaborative partners purchased the easement to Insure Glendale farm maintains agricultural practices and wildlife habitat forever! Please be aware this is a working farm with poultry, livestock, and the use of farm equipment providing a great experience for farm life.
Glendale Farm experienced a devastating loss in 2022 when the primary residence burned down. Since then, we have been engaged in a long-term restoration effort, including extensive cleanup from an extreme hoarding situation.
Please wear sturdy shoes at all times, as we are still carefully removing glass and other sharp debris from parts of the property. You may encounter old farm equipment, a few derelict RVs, and other remnants of the site's history as we continue this work.
We appreciate your patience as we gradually improve the farm with future showers, a communal kitchen, gathering spaces, and enhanced landscaping. Your stay directly supports these ongoing improvements.

This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. NO TENTS, please. Also we have NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes.
There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm.
Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 12 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm.
The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail.
There is an ART GALLERY where you can see the host's artwork and purchase a piece if you wish. Originals and prints are both available. This is upstairs through the check-in entry area lobby. Tilton River Studio Gallery.
Three sites have electrical hookups. Every site has a water spigot (use a pressure regulator if you want to hook up). No restrooms or sewer hookups. Garbage disposal site (dumpster) available Memorial Day to Labor Day.

The campsite has a gazebo with furniture and fire table. Please let us know if you might like to use the fire table in the evening, and we will refill its propane tank. There is also a fire ring. Current burn ban rules will be posted.
Acres of grass to wander through, and a Portapotty for your convenience. There is running water, but it is piped from the creek via solar-powered pump, and is not potable.
During the winter we pull the pump. Water is available from the busy creek just feet away.

This small 25-acre ranch is just in the early stages of development. We are repairing fences and watering. I just added solar power and several electrical upgrades for RV's. The property has a 2000 feet of grass runway with an airplane hangar, so you could fly it if you have a STOHL airplane.
The irrigation pond/pond yard area is currently available for camping.
Many wineries, brewies and outdoor activities available in the area. Children can help feed or water the pigs and perhaps the chickens. Be aware though when piglets are around at times they are very small and are amazing escaped artists so do not keep food out unless you want to try and pet one they are friendly. We are more than happy to help suggest wineries and brewies in the area or enjoy the bar area we have!
We offer several campsites as well as an in-ground greenhouse as listings.
Guests love staying with us: "The pond at Willow Barn Ranch was picturesque. Show us around the property. It's very quiet and peaceful, and you can tell you take good care of your land. Wide open spaces." Please be aware that we do not allow parking on grass without explicit permission which is always handled on site. Vehicles will most likely not be permitted on the grass itself with rare exceptions.

This camp site is very private and peaceful! We will be open from May 1st through September, 2026. We have a 3 night maximum stay per booking.
The site can accommodate up to two RVs or 3-4 tents depending on the distance apart. We allow up to 6 people per booking. The firepit and the Snoqualmie River are about 150' away from your tent or RV. We have a porta-potti at the camp site and also two picnic tables. Pets are welcome at our HipCamp, but we do require that you clean up after them. Near North Bend there are several hiking/biking trails including the trail up Mt. Si., Si View Park, and the Rattlesnake Ridge trail system. For shoppers, we have shops in town and the Factory Outlet Mall. For dining, there are several restaurants in North Bend.
PLEASE NOTE: CHECK IN TIME: 2:00-5:00 P.M.
Our rate is $85 per night.
We ask all drivers (cars, RVs, trailers, etc.) to back into the campsite. This will make for an easy exit. Thanks!!

The cabin was neat and tidy and fit 3 adults and 2 small dogs comfortably. The trails were beautiful and the creeks even more so. Margaret had extra food and supplies we needed available for purchase at reasonable prices and the privy was extremely clean! We didn’t end up paying to pet the pony but even just seeing em there was nice! Our site was far enough from other sites that we didn’t have any noise issues or feel any lack of privacy. They also went above and beyond and provided beautiful vases of Dahlias in the cabin and outhouse. Overall it was a wonderful stay :)

The A Frame is such a special place! Easy to get to but feels secluded and very peaceful. The cabin had all the camping amenities we needed and the wood stove + hot shower were the cherries on top.

We enjoyed staying in the Misty Meadows group site. Margaret created a space perfect for groups. The composting toilets were so cute, can I say that about an outdoor toilet? Our group enjoyed the walking trails through the woods and the meadow during golden hour was beautiful. We had a storm our first night and the covered shelter was a lifesaver.

This cabin was so amazing! We rented it for my husband's birthday and it did not disappoint! It was clean, the grounds are secluded and it's so quiet. The hosts do a great job of making things easy to figure out. All the directions and instructions are very easy to follow.

4 nights at Rusty Ranch Tree Farm and Forest
I stayed in the bunkhouse for a couple days while visiting WA for a buddy’s wedding. It was such a gorgeous and peaceful stay. The trails on property are very well kept and boast some beautiful scenery. Awesome stay, would definitely recommend!

What a beautiful site! Clean, well-maintained trails, friendly owner and fun surprises like horses, chickens, and putt putt! This was the perfect spot for our group with young toddlers who loved the playground. Margaret goes above and beyond in hospitality and it shows.

The entire property is very well maintained. We stayed in the Bunkhouse which is a dry cabin (there is a pump nearby for non-potable water and a very clean and odor-free compost toilet in an outhouse building right at the bunkhouse). The futon sofa converts into a very comfortable bed and there is a table built in to the bottom of a bunk bed. There are no electrical outlets but there are interior lights. We were there during dahlia season and Margaret had a beautiful vase of flowers in the bunkhouse and in the privy. There are thoughtful touches throughout the property. We love the hiking trails in the forest and they are all marked and she provides a map so you cannot get lost! We really enjoyed getting away with our dog and being in the countryside.

Tammy and Greg are awesome hosts! I was on a motorcycle ride and they helped me with some creature comforts out of kindness. Also gave me some great places to eat that I never would

What a lovely place with impeccable vibes. Seth was very smart about how to best space out campers on a busy weekend. Felt private and communal. All great folks. There is a beautiful community kitchen space that was fabulous! Coffee maker, stove, dishes, fridge if needed, sink. Note that there are working livestock guardian dogs on the property. Their job is barking when necessary. They were appropriate barkers and very sweet.

We tent camped in site 6, which is the biggest and most private site there. It was very nice. We came in very late and another camper (who apologized profusely the next day) was not n out site. The managers were available and helped find a quick resolution. M

Location is a great Basecamp for hiking or stay on property and explore/ relax. A-frame was comfortable for 3 adult sized people. We pulled one foam pad down to the bottom floor for semi privacy. Bathroom is a tight fit for tall people but nice to hang a clean indoor option.

It was awesome! We are big campers but normally we stick to bigger campgrounds. This blew us away! Great, large sites, lots of space between campers. Super clean porta potty- we watched them clean it each day, impressive! Great proximity to the river and the beach area was sandy and was low enough to wade or swim! Our dogs loved it too. Would and will stay again.

We had a great time at Site 3! Large site with trees/shade. We had a small camper van and a truck slide in camper plus one tent and had plenty of room. Very nice camp kitty that kept us company. Old, but very clean port a potty. We will hopefully be back!
