Camp in a private grove of trees overlooking acres of pastures with grazing sheep, miniature cattle, ponies, and horses. Depending upon the time of year, there may be lambs, newborn calves or puppies. From December to June a creek burbles by. Birdwatchers have sighted at least 23 different varieties of birds. During holidays you can see multiple community fireworks displays! Blackberries are ripe from the middle of July through September. You are welcome to pick as many as you like during your visit. The campsite has a gazebo with furniture and fire table. Please let us know if you might like to use the fire table in the evening, and we will refill its propane tank. There is also a fire ring. Current burn ban rules will be posted. Acres of grass to wander through, and a Portapotty for your convenience. There is running water, but it is piped from the creek via solar-powered pump, and is not potable. During the winter we pull the pump. Water is available from the busy creek just feet away. Picnic tables for your use.The sunny and open camping area faces due west and offers uninterrupted view of the sunset. There is ample space for multiple tents. The RV spot will require some leveling and is somewhat uneven at the entrance. Two picnic tables are available, as well as the gazebo and covered furniture. Walk directly out from the campsite to watch the grazing livestock and wild birds. RVs or camper vans will need to park out on the gravel road, unless they have some off-road capability. The access route is rutted.

There is no turnaround or circular access. Take a look at it first before entering to be certain you have the skill to get yourself out. There is solid level parking at the road. It is private.

On leash. There are Livestock Guardian Dogs in the pastures. They may kill your dogs if they get too near the livestock. The LGDs are inside a secure fence and wear invisible fence collars, but that will not be enough to keep them in if they decide your dog is a threat. The LGDs like people and are zero threat to humans. Because they are wearing invisible fence collars, they cannot get within 10ft of the fence.

Peaceful place to sit quietly and watch the animals out in the field. Portapotty was clean, ample firewood provided, tho maybe bring a hatchet to cut them down to size as needed. I took advantage of Laura's tour of the property and got to meet all the animals. Highly recommend if that's your thing.

We had such a great experience staying here! The property is absolutely beautiful, peaceful open fields, stunning views, and the perfect mix of feeling secluded while still being close to home. Our kids had the best time feeding the animals, seeing the horses, cows, and llamas, and relaxing around the campfire each evening. The campsite itself was spacious, quiet, and very well maintained. Waking up to the scenery and spending evenings watching the sunset over the fields made the whole trip feel incredibly relaxing. It was the perfect family-friendly getaway and exactly the kind of reset we needed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique camping experience with animals, nature, and a peaceful atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!

Such an amazing campsite! 1.5 hours away from downtown seattle. not hard to find, close enough to civilization that theres signal but absolutely no people around, just me and the farm animals that were so cute and not stinky! there were baby cows, sheep and an alpaca. i had a wonderful time. it was extremely beautiful and peaceful i havent felt this relaxed and at peace in so long. close to grocery stores too. theres a porta potty too which was nice. 10/10 would come back. thank you laura for the wonderful stay! thankfully not too many bugs, was expecting a lot more since the animals were there but it was minimal:)

Laura’s place was beautiful! From the adorable farm animals near by, to the beautiful view from our tent each morning and evening. The spot was large and we were able to find two flat spots of our tents. The port-a-potty was clean and stocked. The spot was easy to find, far enough from the hustle and bustle for a quiet sleep in what felt like the country side, but close enough to get to popular nearby destinations. Laura was an incredible host. We took her up on the farm tour, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We even got to see a fresh baby calf!! We will definitely be back!

Nice secluded location. Picnic tables, seating, bbq ( probably have to bring you own propane), kids play structure and a clean smelling outhouse. It was perfect. We could hear coyotes howling in the field during the night. The only minor issue we had was We had a large 8 person tent and it was tough to find a level place to put the tent up that was big enough. Smaller tents would be better.

Beautiful campsite! Patio furniture to hang out on and a view of the beautiful horses and sheep. The friendliest farm dog (cannot come up to the campsite so no worries) but I went to pet her and fell in love! Thank you for an amazing stay!

The fields were beautiful and fun seeing the sheep dog at work! Short winding walk to the site, I had my wagon to help haul everything. Porta potty was clean. Only two cons was I feel like there was a lot of stuff there. Swing set with slide detached and a few other things. Train horn could be heard semi frequently, seeming to echo through the valley. Although the proximity to mount Vernon and the Tulip Fields made it worth it! Would stay again!

It was a cold night after a rain and I wasn't sure if if was gonna start again. It was so nice to have the gazebo and heaters. Also lots of firewood and a nice fire ring to rescue the night . In the morning it cleared up and was so nice to wake up to the pasture view.

Lauras place was nothing short of amazing. The farm was an incredible place to explore and a peaceful site to enjoy nature amongst the beautiful farm animals. Laura gave me a tour of the farm and gave me the full experience!Getting to pet the animals and hearing about the history of the farm was amazing. An added bonus to wake up next to the horses grazing in the pasture. Laura was a very kind and attentive host. The site was easy to get to and a quick drive from town. I would highly recommend staying here. I felt super safe as a solo female traveler. I will be back! Additional things to note: -There is a spigot for water, though it is not potable it is a nice bonus for this site -There is a traditional fire ring for those who want to burn real wood (scrap wood provided) -Portapotty was clean and tidy -Two picnic tables, perfect for large groups

We had a great time there! Enjoyed seeing all their animals, as well as birds while drinking our morning coffee. The portapotty was clean and stocked, the gazebo shelter with heaters was a real treat too! Not super flat but did find a comfy spot for our tent! The dogs do bark a fair amount at night, so not a spot for light sleepers but generally the site is very peaceful and beautiful. Laura was kind enough to leave us some treats to feed the horses too!

We loved every bit of our stay at Laura's. We opted in to her farm animal tour which was especially meaningful to hear her family's history, learn more about the land and each of the animals and their breeds. The space was perfectly secluded and easy to access. A really great respite for families with young kiddos -- space to roam, no neighbors to bother and 'wild' entertainment to watch with each of the animals in their nearby pastures.

Beautiful peaceful spot at the end of the gravel road close to Big Lake and Mount Vernon, for necessities. I reserved this hipcamp for a small gathering so I did not camp there, but it was a perfect spot to have a women’s meeting. We participate in the equine therapy, and Laura taught us about horses in a way that was informational and respectful of ethical interactions between human and horse. If you need to escape close by but with peace and quiet, and views of pasture and farm animals, this is a great spot!
