We had a great time at Site 3! Large site with trees/shade. We had a small camper van and a truck slide in camper plus one tent and had plenty of room. Very nice camp kitty that kept us company. Old, but very clean port a potty. We will hopefully be back!

We had a quick but lovely stay here! We came out to stay the night after a concert at Remlinger, and the location was perfect. It was easy to get here, the outhouse was very clean and well kept, and our site was very peaceful. We hope to come back soon!

William’s land was beautiful, peaceful, and very easy to access and get set up. We had a great trip here this weekend and really enjoyed the quiet setting. Everything was straightforward and made for a relaxing stay. We’d definitely recommend it to other Hipcampers!

Great location! Me and wife had two more days in our van trip and stayed here versus getting an overpriced hotel as we were exploring the city during the day. It was totally worth it! And on the plus side, we got to meet the friendly outdoor cat that kept us company.

I booked this last minute because there was no fire ban like the rest of the national forests. The sites are quiet despite being off highway 202. Very peaceful. The porta-potty didn’t have a latch, which was quite interesting, but clean and usable. The only thing was the second night a group of people with kids showed up in 3 vehicles in site 2 and decided to park on our side of the site. We did have to move our cars to block the view for more privacy. This isn’t the fault of the host, just make sure you’re being respectful of other campers. They also set up hammocks in the communal lounge area and we were not able to use the grill that night like we had planned. But overall it was a great birthday weekend for myself.

I absolutely LOVED this spot, it felt so cozy and secluded. I especially love the driveway into the spot, a beautiful road through the trees. I think my favorite part was getting to meet the camp kitty, who was an amazing host, professionally dressed in a black and white tuxedo, made me feel so welcomed. The human host was very responsive and understanding. I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this spot.

Cute place but not worth the price for a tenter. Only full porta-potty and yard hose. Rock filled base spot so you can’t pin down your tent. House above cranking tunes at 1am. I did love the very friendly cat…

Location was peaceful though it was not well maintained: The garbage can was full, the porta potie was almost full & very old & not real clean. I think mowing & weeding of each site would have been nicer. Maybe dedicated stepping stones & clear path to the porta potie would be helpful

Super quiet. The cat was adorable and definitely the highlight for our young teen. No firewood for purchase this time of year but Safeway was super close. We will definitely be back.

Nice stay, but know before you go…

Overall, I had a lovely stay and would recommend this campground, but I think it's important to know that the current condition doesn't match the listing photos. It looks like this was once a thoughtfully designed space, but some areas have fallen into disrepair. The shared gathering area shown in the photos has been overtaken by weeds, the metal table is rusted, and the picnic table is warped and splintered enough that I couldn't comfortably use it. None of this ruined my stay, but it did make the property feel different than expected. The price is similar to a KOA, but without the amenities. If the cost reflected the property's current condition, I wouldn't have any concerns. The porta potty was immaculate throughout my stay and was serviced while I was there. The only downside was that the door doesn't fully close or lock. All of the campsites are nice, but Site #2 was my favorite with its beautiful large shade tree. You'll also want a 50-foot extension cord to reach the electrical pedestal. The highlight was the sweet black cat who greeted guests and loved to cuddle! Overall, I enjoyed my stay. I just hope the listing photos are updated—or the common areas restored—so future guests know what to expect.

Nice Site but needs upkeep

Overall it is a nice setup. It is 6 minutes from an albertsons 10-15 minutes to fall city, redmond, and carnation. The campground has 3 trailer sites that occupy one area and they share a large lawn. The sites are level, have lights, a couple chairs, fire-pits, and picnic tables. There is a large tent site you can hike down to. The power is a standard 120v outlet so come prepared. Water is available at each trailer site as well. It has a vintage fiberglass porta-potty that is clean but doesn't latch. They have a shed to sell firewood but it was empty. The area is beautiful. There are tall trees and thoughtful landscaping. However, it was not kept up. The grass had not been mowed for some time, there were TALL weeds in the landscaping. Throughout. There is a nice BBQ area with bar height table, chairs, and a fire pit but it was dirty and unkept. There is mention of a trail that goes around the property and access to Soaring Eagle Park but there are no signs or maps to show where these things are. I am only on the fence because the sites had been neglected and it impacted the overall experience. With a couple hours of mowing/weeding, fix the portal potty, and cleaning up the common areas this would be an exceptional place to stay.

Great campsite with lots of space! The camp cat even sat on my lap while I relaxed by the campfire. My only concern was that the portapotty latch/lock was gone/broke. Otherwise I had a lovely stay.

The main attraction is that it's close to Seattle. Price is too high. Bathroom was a broken porta-potty (door did not close) that badly needed to be serviced. It did have toilet paper... Stay there if you have no other options.

Quiet, woods, horses, cat

This was a great, quiet, level and easy to back in to spot. Getting to the first turnoff from the main road kind of violently punches you in the stomach and will turn your knuckles 3-4 shades lighter. So, the main road is a 55mph, 2 laner and even with GPS on, it sneaks up fast. The road leading back to the site is big enough for one vehicle, and yes/maybe, that bridge will hold you but you’re going to doubt it. Eat lightly any day you’re feeling like going in to town. Don't hook up to the spigot…doesn’t work. Just hook your hose to theirs that’s connected to the blue lever. Even though there is a sewer thing right there beside where you'll park, don’t use it. Sewer isn’t available! Put your hoses and gloves away, folks. There were three different horses that came down each day along with a very friendly, although slightly demanding of attention black cat. If he or she could have perched on top of my head or shoulders it would have been in cat heaven. I don’t believe in cat heaven so I did not oblige the beast. Have y’all seen an “All Cats Go To Heaven” movie. Dogs are my favorites. There is a movie about them and heaven.

Baby's first camping experience

Rockin Z Ranch was a great choice! It is a very small camping area but was perfect for our girls' very first camping experience. The farm cats were the highlight for my girls, even if they kept away from the overly excited toddlers. Rocky, the big black cat, was a sweetheart once the girls were in bed. I was also relieved to see a clean port-a-potty available for our toddler.

Nice, secluded camp ground. Trail was lovely for the parts I saw. No fire wood available, but owner was apologetic when I asked. Clean air, the water accessibility was a big help, and I enjoyed the fire pit. This was my first full camping experience on my own, and this place made it easy to learn the ropes (with a small audience in case I screwed up!). Do note there is some road noise, which really isn't a problem unless there's someone turning it into their personal race track nearby on Fall City Road, but that's it. A huge amount of old growth trees, happy birds, and the occasional horse commentary. Definitely a place I'd consider again.

We had a great time as a family but it wasn’t quite what we were looking for at this time. We ended up packing up and leaving after the first night. Just felt a little off to us with no communication, barely enough firewood for the “unlimited” we paid for… definitely not unlimited due to there being barely enough for the one night we did stay. Hiking trails were either closed off to us (due to horses being trained) or complete tree falls blocking the paths. HOWEVER if you have a large party of people sites 1-3 would be perfect to book and have a great little family/friends reunion. Port a potty was super super clean! The actual campsites themselves were kept nice and neat. Not a lot to do there so be ready to drive out to do something/go hiking or bring some things to do.

I really liked the forest with trails leading to Soaring Eagle Park. Lots of hiking opportunities. I found the Rockin Z to be very peaceful. I only needed water and electricity which were conveniently located in the large sites. Hearing and seeing the horses was a nice bonus. This was a very nice place to camp while visiting family.

Great Experience at the Ranch!

Very pleasant stay at the Rockin Z Ranch! Even though we arrived in the dark, everything was easy to find and set up with the signs and lights. Beautiful, clean property. The world’s sweetest cat kept us company. Porta Potty was super clean. Would have loved to have spent more time here. I’d definitely stay again.
