We were surprised with how nice the campsite and experience was here. We were a little nervous with this being our first Hipcamp booking but everything was what we expected and the campsite we got was nicer than we expected. The host was also very nice and was happy to answer any questions we had when we stopped by the barn to fill up water.

While this campground may not be for everyone, our family of 6 loved it! Hip camp is such a great idea for outdoor lovers.

We stayed for for nights at this very private campsite. All of the campsites are located within the trees area next to the river. Definitely bring some dry firewood to get your fires going as some of the fallen wood around site is a bit wet. Early to mid week is great if you want some peace and quiet - we were the only campers on site for three nights!
Our girls loved seeing the horses and cows. If you stay here be sure to head over the the rope swing by the bridge. Good times!

It was great staying at Bogachiel River Campsites ! Very friendly host. We could camp anywhere as we were the only guests at the moment and we could use the kayaks to go kayaking up the river. We had a great time !

This site was great, I’ll definitely use it again.
Everything was as I expected and it was a very easy going experience. The sites and surrounding area are beautiful and private. I very much enjoyed it!

My friends and I loved spending a night here- next time we want to stay longer! It was a very lush, private, spacious camp site with a convenient sawdust toilet nearby. If you’re looking for a peaceful, green place to relax this would be it. We got in a bit late so we mostly were cooking and hanging out, but there were kayaks on the river bed. If it hadn’t been rainy in the morning, we’d have gone out there for sure!

We loved our stay at Byron’s place. The kids enjoyed watching the horses graze, looking for slugs and snakes in the fields, kayaking around the calm river and climbing and swinging in the giant tree. We were so close to everything (10 min to the beaches, 1 hour to the rainforest) and yet it felt like the perfect quiet getaway.

Vaugely adequate conditions. Pit toilet with no venting. Little to no sineage around the property. It was unclear from the description (as a first time Hipcamp userb sp ymmv) if there would be a grill. There is not. There was a muddy haphazardly thrown together fire pit. The whole campsite was muddy and uneven even though it was not raining. If you are going be sure to bring a table preparing for on a stump and some boards we scavenged from the property was not ideal. The loaner kayaks were greatly appreacitaed. The site is just rough the owner is maybe still working on fixing it up. Be prepared.

+ the directions to get to the camp sites were very clear and signage on the property was excellent.
+ can make a reservation so you know you have a place to stay
+ very quick response with host via email.
- our site (#1) was a bit swampy
- pit toilet was really stinky and not stocked with toilet paper
- no signage or direction to the running water
- price is a bit high

We camped here with our three kids and it was beautiful, comfortable and private. Listening to the river at night was relaxing and peaceful!

Overall we had a great stay. We never met our host and the sites arent clearly marked, we had someone camp right behind our camp. The site in the pictures isn't a camp spot, which was disappointing. The kiayaks where a blast and it was more then beautiful for our 4 day stay. I dont know if I would go again unless I could guarantee my site and know people wouldn't be going through it for the price we paid.

The spot shown in the pictures is considered the communal area, camping wasn't allowed in that exact location, but overall it was pretty and secluded. All the spots are shady, it was a little damp because of this, but not too damp. It was nice to be out of the hot sun. Beautiful location. Appreciated the use of the kayaks!

There were people in out camp site who did not pay for camping which was annoying and the host had terrible communication, would not respond to calls or texts and since the sites aren't clearly marked people would camp close to us

Met all of my expectations. We had a fantastic time. Follow the written instructions for the finite directions near the campgrounds, Google Maps added a road that is not there. Even with a toddler we felt secure. I would go here again

Quaint and peace full. No issues finding the camping area or restroom. River access was easy. Common area was clean and camping area mowed within reason. As a personal preference I would have preferred my timber saw over the one provided but it wasn’t bad. Camp sites are no stacked on top of each other. We were not disturbed by other campers staying up late. We found plenty of firewood for our overnight stay. I would go back here again here again.

The site was easy to find and was right in the river. Never met Byron but met the groundskeeper Michael who was very welcoming and helpful! There was only one other group there so it felt like we had the place all to ourselves. Super close to the beaches and Forks if you need more fire wood or supplies. Would absolutely stay here again!

Lovely place exactly as described. The camp spots were nice and had lots of room, with a fire pit and path nearby down to the river. I had a blast, my wife suggested host clean out the port-a-potty more frequently.

There were a couple different spots for us to choose between. All of them were located alongside the river and there was one main area to access the water. Trees, fields, and the land were beautiful and secluded! The horses are very friendly and come right up to you. The host was nice and generous, allowing us to borrow a grill grate to put over the fire to cook our food. Overall, we had a wonderful time kayaking the river, fishing, and spending time st this campsite!
