Enjoy an urban layover in Seattle at this “secret garden” oasis! Property is tucked away off the main street in a manicured, park-like setting. Borders a private greenbelt on one side, with territorial and peek-a-boo mountain views. Easy walking distance to public transit, numerous open spaces, parks, playgrounds...and a coffee shop and cafe in the adjacent, vibrant Greenbridge Community. Highland Park Hideaway offers convenient access to downtown Seattle, Pike Place Market, Ferries, Seattle Center, Space Needle, Alki Beach and so much more. Or head down to T-Mobile Park, Lumen field (~6 miles) or Climate Pledge Arena (~8 miles) for a Mariners, Sounders, Seahawks or Kraken game...or one of many events/concerts! Conveniently located on bus routes (60, 131, H Line) to downtown Seattle. And just a ~15 minute drive to SEA Airport or downtown Seattle. Uber/Lyft/Taxis are readily available in minutes. Short distance (.75 mile) to hip and funky downtown White Center with a diverse array of restaurants, bars, breweries and shops. PLEASE NOTE: This driveway spot is best suited for Vanlife, Overlanders, truck camper, or small RV (25 ft max). Property is at the dead end of a shared (w/neighbors) and narrow driveway, ~100 yards from street/entrance, with tight turning/backing radius. Trailers will need to back down the driveway from street into the spot. Trailer tow vehicle should also be able to fit/park in the driveway. Might be an option to park under Carport (11' tall clearance) depending on size/configuration. Rigs must be self-contained. ALSO: This location being in an Urban neighborhood (with homes and neighbors around it) – you will hear some city ‘white noise’ from planes, trains, automobiles, etc. Owner/host is an avid camper and lives on-site. MORE DETAILS: 2 RV spots (same or smaller size requirements to fit) may be an option if traveling with friends/family and have two rigs. Stays beyond 5 night max may be possible, depending on circumstances and bookings.Sit back and relax in the adirondack chairs after a day exploring the city! Patrick's spot is wonderful and so close to Seattle. Backing up down the driveway is a little challenging as it is quite narrow, but we did it!! Patrick was a great host and very responsive. A great gem in the middle of the city. Will certainly stay there again in the future! Thank you Patrick!!

Perfect City RV place to stay.

There is no where in Seattle in the city to stay if you have an RV and want go to any of the games (Seahawks, Storm, etc) or check out all that the city has to offer. So finding Patricks little Garden Spot was Perfect for us and the dogs. Great place to stay. Very quiet and secure. Felt very safe to leave all our belongings and dogs when we went to the game. The RV spot is covered by a large metal structure which was great. Keep the heat or rain out. Patrick was friendly, informative and accommodating and the instruction of how to get there were clear and it’s easy to find, park and turn around. Our RV is 20ft long, but the area could easily park something bigger. We will definitely be staying there again.

This spot was perfect! Close enough to Seattle but just far away that we weren't overwhelmed. A great place to park our trailer and overall just a wonderful experience. Patrick has been a wonderful host and so accommodating to our crazy little family. Definitely would stay here again

Because it's next to a nature preserve, Patrick's site is quiet and private. He's provided a lot of thoughtful improvements like a power extension cord and a long hose for topping off your RV fresh water tanks. His home is close to just about anything you would want to do in the Seattle area.

Patrick’s spot was the perfect set up for us while visiting Seattle. We had originally planned one night but extended to 2 just so we could have more time there. If you need a convenient spot to park your RV (ours was 23ft) like we did then I would definitely recommend this site as it was super easy to find and use as a base in Seattle.

We loved the location of Patrick’s Hideaway. We are new to RVing and this was our last stop on a cross country trip from Plymouth, Massachusetts to Seattle, Washington. After hiking trails at Mount Rainier, we needed a place close to the city as we were dropping our new van off to get some customization done in Seattle. Very quiet and private. We met Patrick after we arrived and he is a great host.

Small refuge in a big city

In the big city of Seattle I doubt there are many ‘driveway camp spots’ like Patrick’s! We love staying there because it’s so close to downtown, stadiums, museums, restaurants, parks, etc. It’s not fancy but it’s fairly quiet (a few airplanes overhead and a little road noise), level for RVs, easy to connect to 30 amp power, and is next to a lovely perennial garden that has a small private sitting area in it, The camp spots is at the end of a dead end road so there’s little traffic and behind the garden is a wild undeveloped area that buffers much of the city noise.

Patrick was a great host. The description and setting were accurate and we were able to enjoy a lovely view of a garden. The location was so close to T-Mobile park and we felt like we were home away from home. Would love to return next year to catch another Mariners game!

Staying at Patrick's provided the perfect spot for my partner and me to drop off our trailer and have a fun night in Seattle, seeing some friends and a show. We initially considered camping down at Dash Point State Park, but when we saw Patrick's place on HipCamp, the location couldn't be beat! The spot is charming and we both slept great. Patrick himself is very kind, welcoming, and helpful (we were new to the trailer and nervous about backing down the long driveway... but we did it successfully, and Patrick helped advise us before we started). All in all, I highly recommend staying here!

Tout s’est bien passé. Patrick est très sympa. C’est un endroit calme et qui permet de se rendre à Seattle centre ville avec le bus de ville. Entre 30 à 40 min. Le seul point négatif mais c’est bien mentionné sur l’affiche, c’est qu’il n’y a pas du tout de toilette. Il faut être 100% autonome.

Great location near the airport and downtown of Seattle. Patrick was a great host. After our arrival, he offered us electricity and water to fill our tank with. A day before we left, he even gave us pears. I would strongly recommend his location. We were on a conference in Seattle and really enjoyed our stay. In the future we will definitely come again. Thank you for everything Patrick!

Very happy with our first family urban camping in Seattle. Patrick was very clear with his instructions on how to get to him and seemed very organized when we got there. After we arrived, he gave us electricity, water to fill our tank with and tips on where to shop and go. Everything was as he described in the listing. Would strongly recommend him if you need to come to Seattle for conference (like we did) or just for vacation.
