Learn more about our land: In the heart of Willamette Valley AVA and on a breezy 20-acre lot of land we provide a space for you to set yourself up and enjoy life's natural bounty. We offer a small shared space with a wood fire stove and some essential items, many games (such as horseshoes), and lots of picnic areas and tables sprinkled throughout the property. The location is central and half an hour to just minutes away from water bodies Hagg Lake, Nestucca River, Yamhill River, little Niagara Falls, Mill Creek, Baker Creek, Rainbow Lake and more… Such as the Carlton public pool. If your looking to jaunt from camp a little further, we are located a little over an hour and a beautiful drive to the Pacific Coast and about an hour from Portland. Although in the middle of the country woods, we are surprisingly only two and a half miles from the adorable and quaint town of Carlton. So beside the views, you’ll be alongside some fantastic eateries and outstanding winemakers.  Being raised in the community, and over ten years of experience in the local food and wine industry, I can give recommendations aplenty.   ꕥ  The property has been in our family since the late 60’s and has recently been transferred in ownership to the next generation! It’s been a large adjustment with many precious memories in tow. In hopes to carry on the legacy we opened up camp mid-summer 2021, and it’s a work in progress (as work normally is!), but has been a beautiful experience being in a position to share. There are two family homes on the property with people who truly admire this land we have been given so we do ask you to respect our process in this adjustment, as we miss our grandparents and parents who have worked their entire lives for us to be here. With the work of these past couple seasons, and thanks to our fellow campers, we have been able to lay more gravel, get a more fluid bathroom situation established, and have purchased a 20ft stargazing tent that is in the works of being listed this season! So thank you for your support in this venture and in any form, I’m excited to be apart of your adventure and hope to see you in our neck of the woods soon! ❊ ❁ ❊  - Whitney

Worst campground ever
This was the worst campground I have ever stayed at in my life. There was 4 foot tall super dry grass completely around the so-called parking space. They tell you the road in is a bit bumpy and they were not exaggerating at all. They forgot to tell you that your vehicle will be scratched on the way in by blackberry vines they do not cut back, nor that the roof of your trailer will be scratched by all the overhang limbs from the trees that they do not prune, I was told in the back of the campground there was three large spots. When I walked in there there is no possible way I would ever take even a small trailer with a three-quarter ton pick up into I don’t think they realize what a large vehicle is I think they think it would be a little Ford ranger with a 12 foot trailer , that’s about all that will fit in there. The spots out front are plenty big but they are surrounded by dry grass and it’s directly in the sun with no coverage. This place was terrible. Not worth $35 a night maybe $3.50 a night if they agreed to pay for all the scratches to your vehicle .

Great place with exceptional views. Two times we have been there we have almost had the place to ourselves and the other campers were so kind. Good for well behaved dogs who can be offleash. Be aware there are no real services. We brought our own water although there is some water there. Portapot was fine and recently serviced. Whitney was lovely and responsive.

A bit rough but great views!
Overall we had a good experience. We found the site was quite overgrown and a bit more rough than in the photos. The porta potty was in need of servicing. The place felt kind of abandoned…Other guests pointed us in the direction of the drinking water located in the glass house. Otherwise, it had amazing views & we appreciated the glass house as a common space. We also appreciated that our dogs could be off leash. Although a pack of coyotes got very close to our tent in the night. So keep your dogs close.

Cozy night in a lovely field
This is very close to Carlton, making it great for access to wine country. Was lovely having fresh coffee and pastries. On Saturday morning the earliest pastries are at 8:45 am and come fresh from the bakery in town. Well spaced out sites for privacy. The the portable loo was clean, The mosquitos were not many, but do exist so be prepared for that in the evening. It was a very peaceful spot, nice bird song.

It felt very private! There were lots of mosquitoes, so make sure you bring bug spray. It was very quiet and peaceful. The porta potty was definitely rough. The place kind of seemed abandoned, but that added to the secluded feeling.

Quick Trip
Directions to get there were good. Steep hill and tight turns going up to the site might be difficult on some bigger rigs but there was a 5th wheel parked there so if you are good with a trailer, it should be ok. We got there late and left early so we didn't have time to look around that much but from what I saw, it was very nice.
